Please note: your wallet needs to be running and synced to mine.
1.Download the wallet and PoA Miner for the operating system you need.
2.Download the sample poa_miner_configuration.json file.
3.Place the file in the same folder as the PoA Miner executable.
4.Extract and/or place the downloads into a single folder.
5.Navigate to your Encrypt folder. Folder is listed by Operating System below:
– Windows: %APPDATA/EncryptCore
– Linux: ~/.encrypt
– Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/EncryptCore
6.Open encrypt.conf (create it if it does not exist)
7.Edit the encrypt.conf to have the following info:
server=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
8.Save the encrypt.conf.
9.Launch the wallet and let it sync.
10.Next, navigate to where poa_miner_configuration.json is and open it in a text editor:
– Change the username:password to match your rpcuser= and rpcpassword= from encrypt.conf above (note the : separating the username and password)
– Change the # of threads to the amount of threads you would like to use (number of CPU-cores can be used as a reference)
11.Save the poa_miner_configuration.json file.
12.Run the command below in Command Prompt or Terminal.
Windows
encrypt-poa-minerd.exe --config=poa_miner_configuration.json
Linux/Mac
./encrypt-poa-minerd --config=poa_miner_configuration.json
