Great! OP is not too late on jumping in the boat but I think it's still not a good idea for him to invest especially that he never did it before. He is not yet experienced thus he might end up dumping his coins just to cut his losses and not to make profits at all.

Well, it's difficult to say early or decide early whether a project is a scam in a cryptocurrency.
There are a lot of projects out there that only become scam after for how many months/weeks they don't have any updates on their project like they vanish like a bubble.
And also, not all active projects or still development ongoing is NOT a scam, there are still a lot of possibilities that they are started to scam people but in a different ways or it is a step that their project will turn to become a scam.

I can't tell maybe it is a scam but you can hardly tell how successful it will be. Most projects depend so much on the contributions of the investors and when they do not raise substantial amount, it becomes another challenge that might result in the end of the project. From experience 99% of project this days when listed fall short of the original price meaning they may not be profitable

If there's no actual project progress monitoring, don't deal with it and certainly scam is highly possible to happen. Unlike the year 2017 most projects resulted at 85% successful compared with 2018 until present of 2020. Do some deeper research before making a final decision on investing with strange project or whatsoever profit gaining advertisements.

Never heard of this project (or the link you provided me. Not clicking it) you are talking about. Since you are new and want to invest, did you go read about the project? Do you know what is the project about? Do you doubt them? After doing all those readings, if you think they are a scam, don't invest on it.
I would suggest you not to invest in those random projects. They are likely going to be a trash and scam. Stick to investing on coins like Bitcoin.

I suspected that you're just shilling that project CurioInvest" But I will ride your trip, I wasn't able to determine if that project is legitimate or scam because I do not check or even visit their website, not even read the project whitepaper, roadmaps, tokenomics, etc. by the way, It's your job to check all of those necessary and important piece of information about that project before you are going to invest and regarding the profitability, anybody cannot gives you a guarantee about profit, in short, we are simply speculating the outcome of any project. but if that project has a good team reputation including its fundamentals, product, and services that can drive the demand of their token will thats might be a 50/50 chance of profit but that was only base on my opinion, and I'm not an expert about it.

What I know is that Curio is a project that was successful last year, and it turns out that their company has been established a long time ago and there are several partner companies that also support them, so indirectly Curio is a good project and suitable to be used as an investment place, because CUR tokens have also been listed on three good exchanges, namely Probit, HitBTC and IDEX.

You're right, the grades aren't bad either. I even have some tokens from bounty campaigns ever. I got too little so I didn't sell it until now.
I have never followed its development but it turns out the project is still running and has a pretty good development.

If the project still survives and still produces their goals then I am sure CUR tokens on the exchange will not be bad because the community will see how well they are developing this but still be careful not to invest too long in targeting your profits in this CUR token.

Investing is too risky on whatever side you look at. You have a chance either to gain profit or to lose your capital. You need to do research and study about the project you want to invest although it's difficult to identify the scam and successful project at the start,so,it's up to you if you really like to invest on that project.  Invest at your own risk.

I don't want to hard counter you but let us break it down. Is there any project that is new and you won't doubt? I am not like you because I do follow my own steps while analyzing all projects which is same for new and established projects.

I can guarantee you haven't even checked the website because I do not find the idea too convincing myself. If you keep digging then you can find at least ten more projects with similar ideology; these are just repeated projects hence we do not need to waste our time on doing due diligence in depth. Just primary checking itself more than enough.

Seems like the site is straight to the point and the devs should've put their team in the homepage instead of putting it into another page.
I don't know if they're real members of the team or they're just stock photos and people should check those photos if they were photoshopped.

I would say it is better to keep yourself away from investing. As it is now, it would not be good to give advice to anyone to invest in this situation. Now most of the projects that come up are scams, their purpose is to take away the funds of the investors. Many good idea projects have also been scammed at the moment. So you must think twice before investing. I would say if you try to invest in something else, ico investment is very risky.

I made a little review on their connections, they have connections with chainlink I double-check the link from twitter if it is legit or not looks like it is genuine they have been mentioned by chainlink on this tweet, For me, chainlink is a reputable project and it is listed on top exchanges. That is a plus points but being mentioned by them does not mean that the projects are really good and will succeed in the future but I am seeing it has potential. The concept of the project is not that attractive for me but we will see.

Sincerely, I think this question of if a project is good to invest in, is one of the toughest question because most projects today doesn't offer anything good. At the on set, all will look perfect and genuine but once the main deal sets in, you will start seeing a different thing altogether. However, to state my opinion, take a look at the project starting from the team and what they have achieved prior to coming to the blockchain space therefore knowing their abilities. Also, check the idea or use case to know if at all it can be achieved based on their abilities.
Moreover, if you are still caught between roads, then you can start with investing in major coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, at least they are most trusted and reliable than new projects.

It was encouraging to see and good to invest in a project that has consistently shown a positive market growth but I don't see the safety in regards to new projects even though it looks like that. I preferred the old and existing projects as they are already been proven for many years without the gap of losing its potentiality despite the crisis that has been experienced before.
