I believe this is a treat in the Bitcoin market value, could this actually bring down the market? Or it is a sign for feature increase in the market? Your thoughts are welcome..
A little bit surprised but believe me, this growing market adoption and numbers of individuals who are investing Bitcoin isn't a treat as you think but instead, this could help to see Bitcoin becomes a valuable asset in the market.
To tell you, we are still far from saying ALMOST people are investing Bitcoin.

https://vocal.media/theChain/how-many-people-invest-in-cryptocurrency
This will something to tell that and we are not even reaching half of the total population in just one country and it seems possible to the other especially those poor countries.

 And this one also.

Allot of people are making investment in Bitcoin, even with the risks involved. Everybody want to own Bitcoin. Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already, This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all, when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.

The more people adopt bitcoin, the more exciting investing in bitcoin will become. The only thing that will make bitcoin boring is persistent bear and volatile market and possibly when majority of the people abandon the use of bitcoin. The more people use bitcoin, the more freedom to financial services everyone will jave access to not to mention the possible investment opportunities

When bitcoin is known to many people as you say. Of course Bitcoin investment is not a boring thing, but it will be a more profitable investment.

You say Bitcoin as a boring investment because maybe you wait too long for bitcoin prices to rise.
Bitcoin investments will provide benefits when you invest in the long run.

if you want to make a profit quickly trade by utilizing every reflection at the price of a fluctuating bitcoin.

Investment or money making is never been considered as a boring thing and come to think that Bitcoin isnt really just for investment stuff but rather talks about its utility or usage and you should have put that in your mind.
People are just making it as an investment since they do saw that money making is possible when prices do move due to demand but overall this isnt solely created for profit making.I dont know where you do get that
boring thing because its unlikely for people to see it that way. There are factors which is indeed worth to mention when we do talk about threat for BTC but its an another topic to tackle on.

It's no way that Bitcoin will become a boring investment, the fluctuations of the price gives a lot of opportunities for people to make profit, but I see the enthusiasm of Bitcoin is slowing down, I think this is the cause of alt coins, but Bitcoin still one of the most traded crypto

You are right that the main reason why Bitcoin price is not quick to rise just like the old times is because too many altcoins are already in the market with a good volume. OP is just to naive to consider that if BTC will distribute to all people then it will be stagnant since no one will want to own more which absurd. The main goal of BTC is for mass adoption and it is the exact thing that OP mention.

Imagine if everyone owns it. There will be scarcity in the supply which will result to a huge price fluctuation. I hate to see same as OP analysis especially when creating a thread without further research about it.

I don't know how and why you consider it as a boring investment if everyone will own bitcoin. Also, how can this become a threat to the market value? Just because the price of bitcoin is so slow to increase doesn't mean that the main cause is it becomes a common investment, there are so many reason but this is mainly not because of the reason you have said.

Everybody want to own Bitcoin.
in the bitcoin community? yes(maybe, I can't accurately tell), but if we include everyone? no,

Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already
any source for this claim?

This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all
how can something that majority of the world doesn't know exist can become "common to all"?

when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.
what's wrong with being a common or boring investment? as long as it can give me profit I will surely have a care for it.

Maybe OP meant boring in a way that bitcoin does not feature new things real fast, I might be wrong though. Bitcoin offers so many things and with its further use, innovations are integrating bitcoin in their technology and I do not think that can be a boring thing because that is a stepping stone for the further advancement of bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Boring?
Why?
Do you think keeping money in banks is entertaining?  Grin
It's just the same thing.
Every investment has a boring part. Only the starting period is when you are all hyped up.
But afterward, you just add more to that investment and leave it there.

I don't think so. Eventhough lots of people might enter or acquire bitcoin, it doesn't necessarily means that it will be a boring investment and might as well decrease the value in the market because as far as I know when the bitcoin faces a scarcity the value tends to be much higher than it is that is why investing in it will be interesting because you never know what price it will hold later on.

People love security, even if it´s just a perceived one. Same goes for not wanting to go out the comfort zone. If Bitcoin becomes just as risky as a random blue chip, it might won´t move so erratic as it does in the past but more people will use it which in return is actually a good thing for the crypto movement. If it becomes "boring", it will help bring new people into cryptos and help fighting fiats and their manipulation by printers go brr .

If you want to bet on certain assets with much volatility and a high chance of making high gains (and losses), you can always trade penny stocks, random obscure altcoins or even go to Binary Options. The later are a guarantee that you lose your money though. No advise here!

Allot of people are making investment in Bitcoin, even with the risks involved.
How much do you speculate as "a lot"? It can be 1 or 10 or 1000 or any number. Does not mean that it is significant comparing it to the number of people not inevsting in bitcoin.

Quote
Everybody want to own Bitcoin.
What you think is not always correct. Many people hate bitcoin for reasons of their own.

Quote
Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already, This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all, when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.
Going with that sense, people have been investing in gold and stocks for years now. Have they become "boring"? Nope, they still are booming. Rather most seasoned traders prefer to stick to their familiar markets instead for their own. Everyday new traders are entering every market trying their luck or skills.

So your idea of "boring" is false here.

Same question here, I don't see any relevance if everyone will own bitcoin.

Also, how can this become a threat to the market value? Just because the price of bitcoin is so slow to increase doesn't mean that the main cause is it becomes a common investment,.
No logic at all, value still depends from demands and supplies, once there are usages that be added
and introduced, value will pumped high.

There are so many reason but this is mainly not because of the reason you have said.

Everyone have it's own opinion and it will depends from how deep they understand and believe
this investment currency.

I can't continue reading your post because in your first and 2nd sentence, is already a misleading and untrue. It shows how unknowledgeable you are in terms of cryptocurrency in general.
Let me pull out a random survey in the internet to unjustify your claim.

Source
Now, tell me your definition of "a lot" or "everybody want to own a Bitcoin".
And, tell me is this the definition of common?
Bitcoin has yet to have globally adapted, and look at how far Bitcoin has gone from the last 10years.

Is this cure relative of Bitcoin's global adoption or is it a general cryptocurrency adoption float curve?  I'd like to know more about the cure.

I want to believe what the OP consider boring as the long wait for profit in cryptocurrency, watching the slow growth in price sometimes. For almost all asset class bitcoin seem to create one of the shortest period to pick profit. Even in the bear some have made 5x when they pick at the bottom. Sticking with bitcoin reduces the risk in investment in cryptocurrency but doesnt mean no chance at all in altcoins.

The only risk involved in buying Bitcoin is not buying it at all. It is not a get quick rich scheme, its volatility is the reason it springs up when there are crises associated with the market. It is not a boring investment if you ask me.

How can you say that? Are you into alts now? Alts which are mostly are scam and trash lmao. Well, that's your own feeling so I respect it. I just hope you found a better investment other than this Wink. Me? I will never get tired of investing to btc as long as the growth and volatility never vanish.

Greater adoption of this coin do not threaten me as well, actually it's favorable for us because it lead us closer to our dream of crypto revolution — the more, the merrier.

Your thoughts are welcome..

Since this topic is becoming a little one-sided, has your position changed now?  It's a shame to see topics where people start the discussion and then disappear.  What are your thoughts now, considering what people have said?
