📣The origin story of NFTs

📚The story surrounding the creation of NFTs is yet to be unanimously accepted by the crypto community. Crypto historians have found a 2015 smart contract under Terra Nullius that included the ability to create unique tokens. However, Terra Nullius never intended the tokens to be available for either buying or selling.

📚Another possible origin of NFTs is Blockplots, a game where the entire playable area was divided into small plots, each of which was a unique token. Its gameplay implied the rights to the plots could be transferred between users, and the transfer log would be forever saved on the blockchain. This way the developers behind the 2015 game Blockplots can be considered to be the pioneers of a fully-fledged NFT.
