This is what happens when you buy shitcoins/altcoins without doing proper research about them. It is totally you fault that you bought this token. I would never by an altcoin which is listed only on one exchanger. Becuase it has huge risk. If that exchanger goes off or they delist the token my token value will come to zero. This is what happened with you. So,from next time do some proper research before buying any shit coin.

the wrong thing is when you buy coins, but only list on one exchange and it's a bad exchange. When this happens, you have no other choice but to wait for the coin to list on some exchange again. try to join the telegram group, and ask it to the developer there.

Another option is to rely on DEX sites such as forkdelta and etherdelta. It is possible to trade most of the tokens in these platforms, even if they are not listed in the mainstream exchanges. But from what I have seen, the prices can be very low. If you want to sell some tokens for ETH, then depending on the token you may receive only 10% to 50% of the actual value. For getting fair price, you need to rely on the mainstream exchanges.

So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

What do you think I should do now?

Ooh tough luck buddy. Ive heard that batcoins are being abandoned even by the creators at that. Batcoins are basically of no value anymore. Im sorry to hear about that.

I don't think that OP even made a research about the project, he was easily entice by what he could had seen and quickly bought some hoping that it would give him a profitable return of his/her investments bit unfortunately it is not going to be that way, he lost his opportunity to invest in a more known and established coins that is know making a lot of gains due to some price hike recently.

Honestly it is just one of the factor that you are considering and also I believe it controls tiny portion to its value.

There are many coins which gets listed on various exchanges still they sit lame out there with no as such value. For coins to get value they need proper follow up of their roadmap and real developments to gain popularity and investment in the long run.

And yeah, you are not able to get the value because simply it's not popular enough due to no exposure at all.

You can list it on some decentralized exchange if it is a token, ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 tokens could be normally added to DEX even the team didn´t pay for listing on a centralized exchange. Try IDEX, TronTrade.  Wink
Yeah, good suggestion that's can be possible easily but what kind of benefit he will get to list dead project. Definitely centralized exchange will take listing fee (depend on liquidity) if known exchange. Without fee you can add in new launched shit exchanges.

Worst, people invest in coins that didn't even list on any exchange at all because they thought the price was better when it still, hmm how I put it, 'underground'? Making an investment is very hard and don't gamble too much into a coin that only listed at one shitty exchange that could go out or order at any moment. To OP, you should really move on and don't pay attention to that no value coin anymore.

For erc tokens listing is not a big deal as there are many dexes available now and icing on the cake are the instant swap exchanges like uniswap but yes liquidity is still something still required by most coins.

You buy a cryptocurrency that has only 1 exchange listed it. Now that that exchange is closed and you're stuck with what you already own, which sounds funny. What did you think when you bought them?
I think a good project will be listed on multiple platforms and that platform already has the technical elements in place so it won't be hacked.
You should forget them because no one wants to own it.
Next time, choose a cryptocurrency that is supported by many exchanges and has a good team of developers.

I must underscore this as much as possible ; a coin is just as important as what individuals are happy to sell it for. Just to give a model, bitcoin is $9k at the present time, that implies individuals are happy to sell even under the least favorable conditions $9k for it, if there were individuals who are eager to sell for $5k, they previously sold it for that.
It implies for this time being, most minimal individuals are happy to sell for is $9.3k and not lower, in any case cost would have gone down. That exists for altcoins also, whatever individuals are eager to sell for is the lower part of that cost. Nonetheless on the off chance that it isn't on a trade, how is it possible that you would realize what individuals are eager to purchase or sell it for? You can't realize that and that is one reason why no coin could have such a value point without recognizing what individuals are happy to sell it for or get it at.

And do you think people will buy unknown coins in Decentralized exchanges?? Maybe yes, but a lot of people will prefer to buy coins which listing in good centralized exchanges such as Binance, Okex, etc. If the team keep using free method listing, the project will die very soon

This is not only because the exchange was hacked, but many altcoins lost value because the exchange removed the coins from their list, the simplest reason being there was no volume.
We can't do anything with these coins. If it's an ERC20 token, you can sell it on Fordelta with a smart contract.

If the token or coin has no price then nothing can be done. Because the token is valuable if there is a price. Exchange is the most important thing, if the token you have does not have an exchange, it is useless. We can only wait until the developer signs up for another exchange.

Unfortunately thats true, a coin/token without exchange will become worthless, it has no worth if its not tradable.

Thats why I dont buy a coin that is listed in just one exchange because it has a high risk to be delisted if there's no volume.

If the dev wont abondone the coin then it will progress and you can only wait for it to be listed in another exchange.

You made the right choice to transfer your crypto from the exchange, that's what everyone should be doing, and about the bat coin i' m really sorry but it seems the coin was going to die sooner or later, even if the exchange was still there the project stopped developing meaning it was an abandoned project that's why it was only listed on that exchange, next time try doing some research before you opt-in  to buy any crypto, they are alot of abandoned projects out there, mind the way you buy, so there's nothing you can do at the moment other than to move on with your life, remember "if you focus on what you have lost you won't be able to see the opportunity that lies ahead"

You bought the tokens because you believed you could make some good profit from it. The hack situation is no one's fault but maybe the exchange its listed. The token will definitely list on more exchange, just keep the hope alive

If the exchange is hacked and the team has not managed to list the token to a new one, then doubt that you will ever get back your investments.

What he can do is just wait for a miracle to happen that the team will list it to another exchange. But if not, he can't do anything about that token.

If the team is still active, They maybe Sign up for another exchange. But most of shitcoins were abandoned by the team after listing in the first exchanger. So it's impossible to sign up in another exchange. It Will become trash in your wallet.

Yes, OP should hope that the team will have a plan on listing this coin on another exchange or else, the coin will remain valueless. The only thing he can do right now is to wait and if ever that this project is already abandoned, there is no other way to sell it. The coin will remain in his wallet with no value at all.

You should consider yourself luck, I buy more than 5 altcoins when I was new in crypto space and they are all worthless today, you just invest in one coin, right? So safe yourself some energy and learn from your mistakes, I'm never the old me again since the day I started learning more about crypto and how to detect a promising project
