Vispilio: Merit Source Scammer Offering A Deal For His Feedback To Be Revised

Here is a completely unsolicited PM scammer Vispilio sent me yesterday offering to revise the revenge feedback he left for me after I left him red trust because he admitted Yobit was a scam and claimed that victims were to blame if they got scammed.

Is it right for a Merit Source member who floats in and out of DT to make an offer of "if you revise your feedback I will revise mine" deal?

Scammer Vispilio goes as far as to say that the feedback I left for him is a joke but is it a joke when he floats in and out of DT then says it is the victims fault when they get scammed? His retaliatory feedback clearly demonstrates why he should never be anywhere near DT and was a very choice for being Merit Source.

In the past I have contacted a few members to ask them why they added me to their distrust list and then asked them for feedback. I also mentioned I would take their feedback as a positive and would try to reflect on whether any my posts should have been worded different but I never added them to my distrust list as a retaliatory or reciprocal revenge nor did I try to make a deal with them.

Here is a post from a different thread but it captures the element of duplicitous behaviour and retaliatory feedback by scammer Vispilio. I left him substantiated negative feedback along with a reference link because of his claims to blame victims for getting scammed in a scheme he was promoting for money and he left me unsubstantiated negative feedback as revenge after his frustration of not being able to get on to the Chipmixer campaign after which he basically attacked Chipmixer by playing the race card. He also encouraged others from his local language board to play the race card and started aligning with equally obnoxious users such as hacker1001101001 in order to create a highly divisive atmosphere in this forum.

Is this behaviour befitting of a Merit Source? Is this behaviour befitting of a user floating in and out of DT?

the level of gossip and intrigue in this forum now rivals those of wild South American tele novellas.

My one time offer to an NPC pest like you is merely an attempt to save time on occasionally having to address you here because some extremely naive or complicit members have made the mistake of adding you to their trust lists...

@theymos and staff, you are well aware that most intelligent people would come and take one glance at ninjas like ~jolly and ~lauda, and after discovering that they are part of Default Trust here, would abandon this forum to never take it seriously again until they are completely stripped of any representative privileges, make of it what you will...

and with these changes I encourage people to try to "bury the hatchet" and de-escalate rather than trying to use any increased retaliatory power you now have. Also, it's best to make your own custom list, and you must do this if you want to be on DT1.

I am never completely tied to anything, but let's try this for at least a few months and see how it works.

I have him and his buddies on my IGNORE list, I cannot be bothered to read their trash. Occasionally, maybe every few months I might unIGNORE them just to see if they have improved and evolved to civilised conduct but I always end up adding them back to IGNORE.

I see them as lost causes, all meriting each other for the sake of merits and hanging around in the global thread behaving like a group of disgruntled stepford-wives with one thing in common - to create division and to cause harm to the forum while trying pocket as much cash as possible from signature campaigns at the same time trying to maintain a false charade of being polite and sensible when they are the antithesis.

How could a mentally unwell individual such as Vispilio be selected as for Merit Source and be anywhere near DT?

and his entire vendetta with the Turkish section is predicated on the fact that the modern members there have easily seen through his retrogressive reactionary nature and outed him (please check pg. 112 of the Default Trust Meta thread for reference).

There is nothing wrong with that if the mutual red trust is a result of something that's been resolved or is otherwise forgivable. Theymos seems to want us to deescalate and forgive but that's not being practiced as much as it could. It has nothing to do with being a merit source either.

I don't see it as a "deal". It's about burying the hatchet and reevaluating those ratings on the "good for the forum" scale. If they're looking to gain something (a deal) then it won't work. A compromise like that pretty much by definition means one or both of them have to give something up.

Either one of them can always re-post the feedback after it's removed but in all fairness it would make more sense for Vispilio to remove his retaliatory feedback, then say "look, let's end this shit" (without any islamic nonsense) and if JG agrees - that's the end of it. But I don't really see either one willing to give an inch here so I'm not holding my breath.

Agreed, and I did much the same thing with some member whose username I can't recall at the moment [edit: iluvbitcoins].  It wasn't entirely so that he would remove his neg on me, though.  I'd had some doubts about leaving him a neg and should have given him the benefit of the doubt at the time.

And then there was Vod and another member going through much the same ordeal not too long ago, and again I'm forgetting the other member's username.  There's nothing inherently wrong with trying to come to a truce, but I think if you've left feedback that you know is correct you probably ought to stick with it.

For me it is clear I will not remove or revise my negative feedback because Vispilio is a scammer and the feedback I left for him is extremely relevant. As for him handing out revenge/retaliatory feedback against me without basis - he can keep it and is welcome to.

All this muppet called Vispilio had to do was to simply change his ways and start behaving as a force for good within the forum and apologise for his past scamming behaviour then I would have seriously considered revising the negative trust I left for him but at this moment in time he is not portraying himself in a good light therefore he does not deserve it.
