@johhnyUA 3 hours should suffice I guess I hope so. Because I'm often knocked out to early i don't know for sure how long it lasts after I'm out. Whatever, i have one extra hour anyway. Let's try. With a big probability, for me, game will last around 1-1.5 hours (or maybe even less)

I think this applies to all poker tournaments currently(since 2-3 years ago or so). Playing Negreanu style may raise you to one of the top positions during the first hour, but you rarely end up ITM. Those are my observations. I can be wrong, of course. In a MTT tournament with larger field like over 1k participants, that kind of play might guarantee you atleast the min cash most of the time but it would be hard to reach the Final Table if you play tight most of the time. ~ It's funny that the same can be said about aggressive playing. ... Overall, the more I learn about poker, the more I see how it resembles life: your skills and strategies are very important, but you will hardly succeed without some luck.
~ Have you guys seen our GOSU Mascot and our new telegram stickers? So cute, so GOSU! Can`t thank @Maus0728 enough for this GOSU design! These pictures are really amazing. Kudos to @Maus0728! Such cuties!

There were 17 participants this time, not bad, it was almost 2 full tables of 9, so it wasn't far from your wish. I was out on 14th place(bad luck) but I really enjoyed the game. Those new guys are great poker players(ryokan777 in particular, won all my chips with 777, while I was reading this wiki atrticle about Ryōkan). ... I hope to see all of them again in the following games. Gimme a chance for revenge!

I was out on 14th place(bad luck)
Well you should have seen how unlucky I was yesterday. Lost two big hands and it was so sick First hand was JJ Flop was 8 9 10, raised half pot and getting called. Turn was 2 and IIRC Villain shoved. Well having an overpair as well as open ended straight draw is definitely a call here. It was a bad luck that he had 1010 though Second hand was 99 It was an all in preflop against Mechwarrior, he had 67o. Boom he hit straight at the river with 67o. Dang and after these two hands, I lose massive amount of my stacks. I lose another one with 44 (?) not sure what was the last hand I had but yeah Im freaking unlucky This time I am playing from home, beers are in the fridge, I limited myself to 5 cold ones since I have a business trip early next morning...
Trofo meant business when he said this ! so who took the 1st place? I was following after 4 players get into ITM spot

Lost two big hands and it was so sick First hand was JJ ~ Yeah, I was at the other table and was shocked seeing you were out in the first 20 minutes or so. Overall I hate getting JJ or better during the first hour of a tournament. This rarely ends up well. ~ This time I am playing from home, beers are in the fridge, I limited myself to 5 cold ones since I have a business trip early next morning...

It looks like no one wants to post it here for us. But it is so much more fun when we can see who finished ITM! I can promise that if I finish in the top 2, I'll post the results here, and I call upon everyone, Do the same, guys!

Well said! It's what I repeat for years, everything is gambling, just games are different! I see the next game is in 10 days (May 23, 8:00 PM)! That sucks a bit, but I guess we will find something else to do this weekend!

I think you need a buy-in to eliminate the freerollers (going all-in all the time), but maybe 25$ is a little bit too expensive. Maybe if the buy-in 5 to 10$, there will be more players...

Free rolls are the worse, you always get bunch of multi accounts going all in on every other hand or sleeping until their main account gets rektd. Never gonna join one of those again. 25$ seems like a sweet spot for me but I would be fine with anything from 5$ to 100$.

$25 for a biweekly poker gathering is pretty much standard. It was something around $12-15 weekly for the last poker series in another site so yeah. The chips buy-in probably increase soon though because the buy-in is pegged to bitcoin and currently the price is lower so instead of 500 chips it could be 550 chips for a $25 tournament Buy-in ~25 USD in Bitcoin (500 Chips at SwC)

I absolutely agree with this, but here's what I think about the correlation: Free rolls = enormous amount of horrible players and not enjoyable game as a consequence; $0.5-$2 buy-ins = it's better, but almost the same; $3-$7 buy-ins = it's way better, almost no annoying shovers and stuff like that, pretty much enjoyable game; $10+ buy-ins = horrible players are rare, and they are usually out in the first hour. There's a possibility of encountering the best players in the world, because, although rare, they do play $10 buy-ins from time to time. $10 is like the lower limit for them, I've never heard about lower buy-ins. In addition to that, I've watched many games with $1,000+ buy-ins and there are those "horrible players" there too. Unfortunately you can't eliminate them completely with higher buy-ins. In short, $10+ buy-in can provide a decent game, in my opinion.

Would be cool to play with players such as Phil Ivey with a 10$ buy-in. Would give a major kick, if you won some hands against these guys
