Yes, why not. Add some spice and cook it on open fire. Fire will kill all the bacterias and spice will add/mix/hide taste.

Lots depends on where this chicken was held. If it was for a long time on the sun, then no. In fridge - cook it today or in next few days, in freezer - can be kept for a month or more.

No, don't take such risks because you might end up spending few thousand dollars when you try to few dollars.Be smart and take risk on the appropriate places and amount not just everywhere.Maybe you have to eat if the whole world is facing drought and you have money but there is no availability of food or for survival of the life.

Usually if it's too long and it smells bad, I will not allow anyone to eat that.

But if the indication through odor isn't bad and it's good, why not? that's why the process of keeping it is very important.

Just buy a new one. In the case that I had no choice, I would a bite or two. If my stomach is still ok a couple of hours later, then maybe I'll eat more.

of course not, that would only make them sick...
I would rather just give my family only rice or bread with soy sauce and chili than give them expired meat. giving my family to eat meat that has expired will only make me lose money because surely they will get a stomachache.

If the chicken is stored in a freezer and doesnt have a bad smell, then I will cook it.

Otherwise I'd rather buy a new one to make sure its fresh. Health is wealth you know.

Same day as expiry date is fine to eat, anything after beware. There's ways to tell if meat gone bad for specific meats but universally if it's slimy or smells off just throw it in the bin. Saving a few dollars on meat is NEVER worth the stomach ache and misery of eating bad meat. Just eat some ramen and be more mindful next time.

I guess expired chicken is different from rotten chicken?. Meaning they could expire without getting rottened, right?
Well, if it's really unsafe to eat expired chicken, I would throw it away. But, it would be kind of worrying to see stuff like that get thrown away. Next time I will probably roast my chickens for long-term storage than see them expired again. That's what people traditionally do to prevent them from getting rotten. I wonder if that could also save them from expiration... Probably depends on how long you store them??

If it is the same date as the expired date then I would cook it.
Otherwise I won't. To tell you the truth, even if you cook it the next day from the expiration date you are not going to have any health problems as those dates are just indications with slack times on them.

If the chicken stays in freezer?even if it is week expired that is still good to cook,But if it is exposed outside the freezer and just bring it back to freeze again then that might be contaminated and not good to eat.

there are some process in locals in which the food has been left exposed to have bad smell before eating,but i dont do this practice lol.

I never let the chicken too long because I always cook after I buy the chicken, so I don't make it expired.

When I buy chicken or meat, I don't keep it for a long time before I cook because the taste will be different than the first day I bought, so I need to cook as soon as possible. I don't want to see my family get sick because they eat expired meat.

There is a reason why we have expiry dates for our edible items, consuming any expired food can cause food poisoning even it leds to kill on rare occasions.Okay now let's talk about chicken,if it is just a frozen chicken you can cook well and eat but the taste may not be the best or if it is any processed food then its better to avoid.

Dates are always indicated with a small margin, to be able to use the meat is not sold after the expiration date, rather than throw it away and waste. Therefore, if there are no apparent signs of deterioration of the product, you can confidently use it. My friends working in the food industry, so that this information is not taken from my imagination.

Of course, this applies to meat (and other foods) that have been stored under the right conditions. If the conditions were not met, then it will deteriorate even before the expiration date.

I don't think meat expires, specially when kept in freeze. Like if it's gotten damaged then no, but surely the official date of meat expiry generally is very sooner than actually the meat is unconsumeable at all. Because it's non veg things, and also depends on which season it is tbh.

Have you eat anything after which got expired? Definitely it will taste bad and I had experienced with drinks like coke much often because most of the supermarkets are trying to sell the expired drinks, literally they are waste on most of the occasions.
