same topic has been posted many times this day so no need to create another discussion  for that topic.
Instead of creating you can read other members opinion about the incident  here --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262442.0 .

They are not posting it the same method as ponzi scheme. Hacker use legitimate account of crypto exchange and known influencer, that's why  there are people fall for it and believe that it can be true since it came from legitimate source.

You don't get the point of my post, many people thought no one got scammed because the giveaway trick isn't new, my post proved that over 100 thousands dollars was stolen successfully

users who are not from this community yet are unaware of scams like giveaways and they are new to crypto. they rely to people they know who give them advice. i have a sister who suddenly was interested to BTC when someone introduced him to a famous online payment system in our country.

from then on i already guide her not to invest to doublers, avoid giveaways and no clicking links form emails are advised as well. these are just very simple advise to those people to avoid but some of the still fall for these.

That is not an excuse, @op is right, it appears people haven't learn anything or they just too greedy to care, who will actually believe that someone else can double your money for you without working hard for it?
This shows that, till now it is still too easy to scam lots of people because they are looking for quick money and not ready to earn it the right way, None of this hacked account can ever demand for a thing like that, immediately you see such post, it should be avoided.

These scams are so absurd, because they look for the most naive. This is how they work. Even a few victims and the scammers are happy. It costs them very little to get the operation going after all. So they manufacture a scenario where the most vulnerable would be encouraged to transfer most of the coins they have under a FOMO situation. Hopefully as the world gets more educated about bitcoin we'll reach a point where crypto isn't considered an oddity where such things appear within the realm of possibility to anyone. Such scams are also prevalent with cash but at least not on the same proportion... But on the other hand, there will always be newbies.

Actually people who are relatively new and chase giveaways and airdrops do still believe in these things but people who have faced all this before know it is a scam so unfortunately some people will only learn the hard way and being greedy is natural for most people so they do not care.

The number one  factor why people still fall for this trick is that they're greedy by design. Second, it did came from a verified account, so it's really hard not to believed on it until it's too late. The hackers are so brilliant that it was a well played to design, and I don't think that only newbie can be victimized here. There could be grown up man and experienced crypto enthusiast who can't distinguished scams.

It is truly shameful to admit but seems like it is true people doesn't learn anything from the past they still get carried away by their greed.
It is so easy to know that this doubling scheme is just a scam so why would they even believe it to be honest even in 50% profit guarantee is too suspicious.
Only those who are truly earning online would know how hard it is to get that much profit and gaining profit isn't guaranteed to us all.

People will still continue to fall for this tricks because many new crypto investors will come around and without the proper knowledge about how crypto space is they will want to try out some new things without knowing that they are walking into a trap

I don't know ,maybe they are just new with this crypto investment I am sure old investors will not fall for that even how good they promise to give in to sender.

They believe in everything they see because they are newbie and less experienced  and this moment will take them to a new lesson so they will not feel victim again next time when someone posting the same scheme as this one.

Seriously if I had someone who put me through crypto risks I would have been able to safe some money I thrown away years back, to find answers I have to took risks and yes with my actions I am able to know which is right and which is wrong but having a teacher or a guidance would have helped alot, it's what I tried to teach newbies in my country today but they aren't getting it

if its a giveaway it wont need for us to pay other than that it was a scam . to the doubling scheme , its hard to believe on those if not gambling .  they cant say that they didnt knew it was a scam even if those offers were came from popular personalities  .  you knew that it was a scam the first thing you saw it , that only shows that you are an expert but most those falls for those scams are newbies  . hope they learn and grow up .

There will always be a first time for everything, crypto is evolving and we keep seeing newbies joining crypto train, they will surely fall victim to scam projects because they lack ways of doing good research, I wish they will listen to old crypto members advice but the will of making money quick is always on fire

Those who fall once will learn not to fall for such tricks again, mistakes is something you can't ever over power, it will happen over and over, crypto space is full of goodies and badies, without learning you will make many mistakes and even after learning you will still make some mistakes

Well I hope not, it will be foolish for someone who already make this mistake once to make it again, it will only mean previous experience never thought the person nothing,  those who fall victim are probably newbies who don't understand the ways of scammers yet, i hope there can be more information on the internet to warn people from fake news,  most important aspect of making a mistake is learning from it.

This is well said because they know the potential and the future of crypto and buying bitcoin whenever the price falls is a good thing but falling in the trap like this is really a questionable thing. For newbies mostly it is still understandable though even by now they would have read in past few years such things that quick returns in few hours or in days does not happen and so this was really a sad story to read.s

greediness is the cause of destruction. nothing is free in this world. but people believe it blindly in this online world where privacy is more valuable than anything itself. all people know very well this is fake and still, they trust them due to greediness and loss of their fund in that fake giveaways.
