I just now read the whole article and I was amazed to read that there are others in this list who actually wagered small amount and won. I will call them lucky ones as rarely it happens that someone wins a huge amount by just wagering a few pence.

Even those who use big money and win are also lucky people because in gambling there is only 2 ways in outcome either you win by luck or lose in greed.

Those people who bet smaller mostly the luckiest persons in the world while those who use big amount are the true gambling addict as what we describe .

Seeing Billy Walters manage to get $ 3.5 million sometimes makes me imagine when my luck will come. We must be optimistic that

judging by thier bets versus thier win , these people are playing on a higher multipliers and not by a single or double bet only because that takes alot of time to build thousands and millions from a tiny capital  but it also takes a massive of luck to hit a high multipliers   .

But it is hard for us to make an assumption since bitcoin and crypto-related are usually decentralized and anonymous. I have alot of these sort of "small wagered" bets all over the place but they don't always win. More like a 25% success rate, which is common for choosing such a high payout with a micro stake used.
For the multimasters I had just won, that is the minimum amount (0.1mbtc) where you would win the ticket amount + the prize given if all your selections won. Not just 11 out of the 15 to receive a lower amount in the prize pool given.
Check out the thread I mentioned. They run them every weekend and post the selections every monday or tuesday to start the new week for this competition. I always post them up on there as soon as they are available.
I would be a real gambler if I placed a Big Boy Bet such as this one.

I will doubt they would use such a stake amount if the odds were high meaning more risk involved.

He should've won 0.3 btc from the contest but since there's three of them with the same number of correct predictions the prize was split equally, still a decent prize though.

Thanks for explaining, winning is not impossible here, but I am not currently active in participating the contest announce in the forum, I have a lot of schedules that are lining up so I am only limited to betting one game and just check them afterward, it's just like a come and go situation thing I am currently at now, maybe in the future, I'll find time since I'm still hoping to get a big win one day.

The first one is even more crazy, dropping $3.5m on an underdog. I don't mind taking the underdogs once in a while but i'll never go all in like that.

Possibly he has inside info about the outcome of the fight.  Rigged games happen.

I'll never win big as those guys but the best winning run i've had was by placing live bets and at the same time strictly following a fixed bet size. I've had a few nice parlay wins mostly 2-3 legs but I don't recommend making parlays to anyone new to sports betting since it's very hard to pull off.

True that especially when the the one betting has little knowledge about the fighting teams.  When it happens I often bet on the underdog to make the most out of my bet.
