Are we seeing an increase in opportunities throughout the digital realm we live in or do we find ourselves stuck in a rut, not being able to figure out what is next to come? Will we see additional lockdowns for the remainder of 2020? Will the crypto space still offer the same opportunities as they do now? Think of this situation as the outro to the tootsie-pop commercial: how many licks does it take to get to the center of the tootsie-pop? The world may never know.

The world may never know what is going to happen next or what opportunities come our way. The best advice is to stay consistent in whatever you're good at and keep that pig-headed discipline.

Throughout the last 4 months, I, personally have been able to start a successful firm based on the knowledge I've obtained in the last 5 years of being in this beautiful, stressful industry. Sitting in quarantine made me think about what to do next. I was working for a crypto-friendly bank and a big-time media outlet that I felt was a waste of time and as I sit there, I wonder what move is made next. Whenever I see the word "opportunity",I immediately start to think about scams...
Opportunity seems like a pretty vague term.What do you mean by "Opportunity"-crypto startup projects,where someone could invest or job opportunities?
In the current recession,it will be pretty difficult to create a successful crypto startup.Most of the investors are running away from high risk projects,so you won't get funding and probably you won't get any customers.
The economic situation forces more people to stick with what they are already familiar and what is considered safe.Risk takes and innovators will have a hard time achieving their dreams and goals.

Having more time to monitor trading in these Pandemic is the silver lining I see during quarantine, however I only do small trading since there is a doubt that I might overused the money that is needed by the next extension months of the quarantine but every little amount helps in during that months that I do day trading.
I also take advantage now signature campaigns which I don't focus before pandemic, more casinos were active in doing campaigns here as the demand of people playing online now is rising.

There are new opportunities being created everyday during this pandemic, and some companies are now working remotely so that their employees can work from their homes. One thing I have noticed is that most of the jobs I am seeing these days that are being done remotely are jobs that has to do with software engineering. There are also other jobs, but none of them are up to the level of jobs that the engineering space provides.

It’s good to take this time and learn other skills, whether it’s copywriting skills, web and app developing, marketing skills and every other skills you think will be useful at this time. Although that doesn’t change the fact that there are still important jobs that can’t be done online.

During this pandemic, the are only two things that my parents always ask me and my little family in out-of-town. They are
1. Are you healthy all?
2. Do you have money for food?
It is simple and makes sense. They feel afraid if their children cannot eat anything and lack of the money so that we will be very suffering in this town. We have no siblings or other families here and we cannot ask for help to others because they also feel the same.
Yeah, the questions are very real because they know that many people are jobless during this pandemic.
But, through this crypto world, fortunately my little family and I can really get earning enough for our necessities during this pandemic and help some for others.
I cannot imagine if I don't know abut this online activities, this crypto world, I probably will turn to be very suffering during this pandemic.
And here, because of the earning from crypto and other online activities, we can prove that job is not only at the office, wearing uniform and also working in our. My custom before and during the Chinese New Year is buying shell stock to be exported after the Chinese New Year ends with the destination markets are China and Vietnam and for regular customers. But this year due to the pandemic, the warehouse is full of about 60 tons of shells. Some buyers who do not actually end users postpone purchases. Realizing that silence was not a solution, and even though it seemed that the economy was stopping but our efforts could not be stopped. I finally tried to find a new buyer and offer shells in the warehouse, as a result, I found an end buyer (factory) interested in buying raw materials, and I managed to get a contract offering shells as much as 260 tons per year & the initial export was done at the end of June, unfortunately my capital is very limited even less, but I'm sure where there is a will there is a way.

During the pandemic, I also gave a brief training on cryptocurrency to my wife and several interested colleagues. The phenomenon that occurs in my country is, since the pandemic emerged, many mothers have started selling online, especially the food they cook themselves.

I voted on the poll first before reading the OP. I thought the question was simply on the number of opportunities that came amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

I got one, two, or three things in mind. But those were not crypto opportunities. As far as crypto opportunities are concerned, I guess there hasn't been any lately. It is pretty much the same except that I had the opportunity to have my old DOGE sell order at 30 sats fully filled. Only to find the price shooting past 50 sats afterward. Well, that's not even related to the pandemic. But it sure happened in the middle of it.

Well, the world's revolving just the same. Life goes on. Opportunities come and go despite whatever's happening around.

As a result, the money flowing into crypto must have gone down considerably also. We've gotta remember that the ongoing recession isn't also accompanied by distrust in the financial system (as it was in 2008).
Central banks could now more easily solve the issue by printing money. Retail banks aren't bound to collapse this time, deposits are still in them. Just less propensity to invest.
Therefore crypto as an instrument isn't seeing more interest because of the recession. Actually very few industries saw a benefit from the pandemic. Only those that produce related items, SOME games and live streaming. Almost no other industry is known to largely have seen increased earnings. Even most websites saw less earning because they got more traffic but fewer companies were interested to advertise.

Very true. The speculation everyone sees a few months back with the parallel crash between crypto and traditional financial assets really had people second guessing- which would definitely result in money being pulled out of the ecosystem. To be fair, I don't think this will be as bad as the recession in 2008 given our current stance on finding new opportunities.

HOWEVER, I do think that a lot of people may have gotten lazy in the last 12 years, resulting in a high (and growing) unemployment rate. There are opportunities all over the place and I feel if it's not something you REALLY want to do, might as well take it, learn a new skill set, and build your bread up until you can go back to your original career path. Chances are, people might actually enjoy doing something new and take a shift in career paths.

For example, I left the offshore banking and corporate finance sphere to work on what I thought would make me genuinely happy- AND IT HAS!

Since people are struggling financially, these employees look for a new job and so on.

There is no sector in the world that didn't feel the wrath of the pandemic. The good thing, after almost half a year dealing with the pandemic, some businesses are now slowly getting back on their feet.

I think that is the government's job on how they can warn their people about the Covid-19. Maybe they should learn from the other country which can reduce the infection people, but that depend on that government of willing to learn from other country or not. If the infection number still increases, maybe that government needs to lock down the country once again and apply the protocols.

Without optimism, people can not survive because they don't have willing to do something to solve the problem. We have the same problem, and it's already not ended yet, but we have a bright future, so we need to survive.

Very true- everyone has been hit one way or another- some obviously are taking it better than others. There have been a lot of online industries totally demolished by the pandemic. Should we see a second wave, I hope these same businesses are better prepped and learned from the first experience.

I think that is the government's job on how they can warn their people about the Covid-19. Maybe they should learn from the other country which can reduce the infection people, but that depend on that government of willing to learn from other country or not. Everyone needs to follow rules in a place like Thailand. They have dominated COVID-19 and there hasn't been much scrutiny within the country aside from people's visa situations.

Unfortunately, I haven't found even a single sign of opportunity opening created by crypto amidst the pandemic. And you know what, the opposite happened actually. Many crypto related scams are sprouting here in our country. The scammers are taking advantage of fhe current situation where most of people are staying at their homes and only depending on online jobs/investments to keep their living. *sigh Like Forsage, this one scammed many people here. Stay away from it.

You have highlighted the best things in the lockdown so far though it's killing people; I've earned 13 merits so far during the lockdown and it's a great achievement for me.. I've made lesson plans to extend the teaching of blockchain to my neighborhood when the lockdown is lifted which I will definitely do once it's lifted. Yes! I think so. The authorities here found out that Forsage's founder name is Lado Okhotnikov. I'm not sure what is his nationality (hmm maybe he came somewhere from Europe) and I'm not sure which countries are affected by his scam. What I only knew is that my fellowmen get crazed by this ponzi scheme couple of weeks ago and now they're f*cked up. How sad.

I think that is the government's job on how they can warn their people about the Covid-19. Maybe they should learn from the other country which can reduce the infection people, but that depend on that government of willing to learn from other country or not. In my case, I was able to improve, and published my craft online (By the way, I'm into art industry). Getting clients who could pay me using crypto is kind of rare though somehow, I was able to accumulate even a little. But whatever, the thing is, I had get the chance to make myself even more better, as I am not as very occupied as I am before.

No one is exempted, even those rich people are affected, but they are not that affected like those poor people who have no food on their plate just to survive the quarantine. Throughout the last 4 months, I, personally have been able to start a successful firm based on the knowledge I've obtained in the last 5 years of being in this beautiful, stressful industry. Sitting in quarantine made me think about what to do next. Well, I can say that I found just one, during the fall I realized that bitcoin would be going back up again, I knew that it wouldn't stay low for too long and I bought as many bitcoins as I can (well not even one ) and put it aside when it was around $6.5k levels, thanks to that I made some profit now, I have long sold them off and now waiting for another drop to happen to buy once again, but that was the moment I made some profit and that was my opportunity.

I have to be honest with you guys. When lockdown began in late March here in the Philippines, I already began searching jobs to apply online. But before that, I only relied to some coins or tokens that I’ve earned from airdrops and bounties (and the contest I’ve won last December) and tried other stuff like travel blogging, Facebook paid ads for e-commerce experiments, etc. But in the end, nothing worked for me.

A beautiful friend of mine from Europe gave me a sweet advice about finding stable work and not just relying on applying as ambassadors, advisors, etc., because most of these projects aren’t supporting me financially because of offering shitcoins as compensation.

By good connectivity I mean proximity to major highways or airports. You can't run a business sitting at home. You need to meet the clients and take part in exhibitions. In order to do that, you need to travel frequently. In case you are located in a remote region, then that may hinder your operations. If you are unable to travel, then the clients may dump you and chose some of your competitors. That's why I said that having a good internet connection alone doesn't guarantee anything. It can be a major help, but you need to take care of the other factors as well.

If we see the latest news from China, the vaccines have been used and applied to its citizens. and those who find that they have been awarded, are shown that at that time they no longer use masks which provide assurance that it can be handled, but hopefully this is true and we are just waiting for other countries that have also followed suit.

The governments can't promise anything right now, because the WHO hasn't approved any of the vaccines. None of the vaccines have completed the Phase 3 trials and even after the phase 3 trials there are a lot of other regulations and action items to follow. I am not expecting anything before Q2 2021. More on investment I believe because being an alternative way of payment seems not too attractive for most users since the transaction fee is high, unless you are using an altcoins but later you'll still convert it to btc then fiat which is very expensive.  We haven't got massive adoption yet, the norms hasn't change yet, it's still volatile so not suitable as a payment system, unless your purpose here is to invest then you can take that risk.

The problem has given so many people the hard time to search for other means to get a life and feed the family. Every industry experienced downfall in its revenue, health industry is the only sector that could've gained large scale revenue. This happened as the covid-19 cases globally kept rising, but the hospitals were allowed to charge even without a proper vaccine. Cryptocurrency industry too isn't an exception, the market fluctuated a little and started to bounce back with its regular fluctuations within limited margin.

I don't see any large-scale increase in job opportunities, either in digital platforms as a whole, or specific to the Blockchain sector. Logically, it's true. The cryptocurrency just gives an opportunity for the people and we are the ones who create jobs and earn profit from it. But since it's because of the cryptocurrency why there are many jobs, it's direct proportion to the concept that cryptocurrency gives jobs to people.

Opportunities to make money will always exist, but unfortunately there are many people out there that are simply not capable of adapting to the new circumstances or they do not want to do it, which is not the right attitude to have when the pandemic has basically changed the world in a matter of months, however while the jobs on the cryptocurrency market are increasing at the same time it is still a very niche market and very few have the capabilities to get a job on this field so at least for the short term most of the people that could be interested to get a job on this field will have to wait.

During these trying times many people became jobless and unable to go outside due to many restrictions but we need to survive because we have a family to feed. My income on a campaign where im in is a big help to have additional earnings but its not right to rely on it thus I think of other ways to maximize my earnings.
