You will need to buy a copper membership: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Or you will need to wait for at least to be a Jr. Member which will require you at-least 1 merit point and over 29 activities I guess.

He mention that he uses his other accounts to post an image. So probably the account has higher rank and able to post image or maybe the user was talking insert avatar in his account which required size for it. Another thing is that why use this account instead of the other one OP mention. It sound suspicious probably the account was bought. Anyway there is no rules violating for a bought account but it is discourage due to scammers using hack accounts and sold them here.

Well there are good users here that could determine and provide you the help you seek.

There is no such thing as a standard "best size". It completely depends on what the image you're posting, and for what purpose. Mostly though, as long as we could see what you're trying to show us in an image, then it should be good enough. Just don't post those unnecessarily huge ones that fills out monitor screens.

You can use this bbcode to adjust the image sizes without needing to edit them manually:

Code:
[img height=100]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

Code:
[img height=50]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

Just change the height value.

Furthermore, if images are screenshots from articles, websites, anything that don't belong to you, links for sources of those images are required. I don't see people were banned permanently because of images but if you don't have source links, you break the plagiarism rules.

There are two ways to leave source links:

1.
Code:
[url=http://source link of an image][img]http://link where you upload the image[/img][/url]
2. Use one line for:
Source: source link of an image.

Solutions are always good but if we teach people how to solve their problems we can make from this a better world.

Step 1: Go to google and type 'post an image on bitcointalk'

You will see something like this:

Step 2: Follow the instructions.

Step 3: Seach for more references and you will find posts like these:

Hello buddy, you cant post image yet because you are still a beginner, you have to reach first the jr member so you will be able to post images. You can use this link https://m.imgur.com
Here are the steps of using that link:
1. Create your own account.
2. Click the new post and choose the file or the picture that you want to post in this forum.
3. After that click, the wor "get share links" and choose the BBcode(FORUM), then just paste it on your post.

A newbie does not have rights, for now, to post an image unless you will buy a copper membership, that can treat you as a member rank. If you don't want just to earn Jr. member but I think it's better to rank up than that.

In terms of size, you can manipulate like mk4 but also you can do the same with the width to make it more precise.

Code:
[img height=100]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

Code:
[img height=100 width=100]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

1. Create your own account.

On using the imgur it does not necessarily create an account because you can upload those images and get the BBCodee.

  • Go to imgur.com

  • Drag your files

  • GET THE LINK

  • Copy the forum link

Code:
"[url=https://][img] This is for the thumbnail[/img][/url]"

To OP, what screen size are you planning to view the image, is it via mobile or thru desktop browser. You can try my standard size of image to clearly fit on both mobile and desktop browser.

Code:
[img width=500 height=300]insert img link here[/img]

You can adjust it with 200pts difference for a good ratio to fit on the screen.

On using the imgur it does not necessarily create an account because you can upload those images and get the BBCodee.

Besides Images Ur , I also use Image BB  to insert images in this forum. Here is the link https://imgbb.com/upload. The code pasted into the forum needs to be set to get the ideal image. Already explained above. A little problem sometimes I need to look twice to ensure this ideal size. Are there friends here who have a basic ratio image size, so that the image is ideal and can be seen perfectly.

Dude, I assumed he has an alt account which is a higher rank that's why he said that the images that he was trying to post has some issue on size.
Exactly, but strangely he did not ask directly from the main account. People think he is a beginner because they are not careful when reading or they only read the title.

Code:
[img width=500 height=300]insert img link here[/img]
Before posting, the OP must preview to help get the right size.

By the way, the OP and other user can also upload video to the forum in the way I mentioned below. This method will direct directly to the Chanel or related videosl either on YouTube or other platform.

How about video?
But you cant upload videos to the forum instantly because the forum doesnt support it. You must take a number of steps so you can direct people to your video by:
  • Send video link on post.
  • Create thumbnails that contain video links.

The step you have to do is:
1. Get the right picture.
2. Turn the picture into a link with imgur or others
3. Get the video link that you want to upload
4. Make a post like this.
Code:
[url=https://youtu.be/SLsGc-3dQa8][img width=500]https://i.imgur.com/5a0mhOJ.jpg[/img][/url]

The OP , although apparently asking a very specific question that seems repetitive, is a wave with advanced users or those who like to incorporate "1000 more words" with an image to their publication.

I suspect that he is a user who frequents the sites that "resize" the photos, so common that when they come to a forum like bitcointalk.org it seems impossible. It is not that this is uncommon, e.g. in Steemit, a simple command is required for very basic things.

That said, let's "dismember" your questions:
Quote
... Could someone help me what exactly is the size of the images to post in thread?
No.

How to know exactly! each post is personal-individual.

Here we enter the topic of suggestions and that is why I take your post, because in the general sense several responded and some answers are helpful.

One of the reasons that I answers, that you cannot specify what the size is, it depends on the objective of the image in the post:

If it is a header it should be a 700x200 or 700x450 photo. Specifically, standard photos that come with a size ranging from 1280x720 are used.

Why not use bigger or smaller ones; small it is obvious that a photo that starts a publication does not look good,if you are targeting a message.
Quote
The image does not contribute do not use it, in a forum like this the images should contribute to the content not decorate.

Contribution example:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235794.msg54802650#msg54802650

Decoration example:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5256096.msg54632811#msg54632811

In your OP you mention something important "... Suggest me the best size and resolution for image."

If you try to use a very low resolution image and want to enlarge it it looks bad, they say "pixelated." The example in post # 4 of mk4, is the best example from its original size to a smaller one, nothing happens, but if the resolution is low when enlarged it is distorted.

[img height = 600]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

So keep in mind the resolution of a photo if you want to resize it.

Another important thing is using the button, that gives you an idea of how it will look, keep in mind, that the size of your monitor may be not average, that is, you either use a very large monitor or work from a table. (I would never try this from my cell phone;) )

Finally, the above can serve as an example of two additional uses that I can "suggest" of use in size and resolution.

Additional:
The use of images is limited to going alone on one line, you cannot include text on the right or text on the left.

I tried to use this command:
Code:
[imtext =] would be an explicit ornament in a post [/ imtext]
There is additional code that works over html, but that option is locked.

Code:
[img height=100]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png

Code:
[img height=50]https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png[/img]

https://bitcoin.org/img/icons/opengraph.png

Just change the height value.
what about those direct link on logo? Like if i want to post a discord then when readers clink that discord how theyll directly catch that discord? How can i set that?

Another important thing is using the https://i.imgur.com/UtWkagj.png button, that gives you an idea of how it will look, keep in mind, that the size of your monitor may be not average, that is, you either use a very large monitor or work from a table. (I would never try this from my cell phone;) )

Finally, the above can serve as an example of two additional uses that I can "suggest" of use in size and resolution.

Here:

Pick a transparent image of discord logo with a size that you preferred as long as it is not too small nor big. Though the recommended dimension is at least 150 X 150 pixels or something larger than that size.

The image is clickable because I attached the hyperlink on the bbcode. See the code below.

Code:
[url=https://discord.com/new][img]https://i.imgur.com/iq5ntfss.png[/img][/url]

Edit: People above your reply mentioned that use of hyperlink. LOL

You need to erase the background using photo editing software (e.g photoshop or gimp[1]) and it must in PNG file
