Nicehash - Device error

Hi I'm new at mining and as a start I downloaded nicehash on my laptop just for testing.



This is what I'm getting when I click to start:



Do you know what's the problem? I'm searching it here on this forum but I can't find anything similar... I have 1 CPU and 0 GPU.

Go to Benchmark tab and let the app benchmark your CPU first, maybe it's this

But you can go to plugins and see if app shows any error on this tab

YES i know . I cut it down better than losing time in mining , the mining was very good until 2017 after that it's losing time and money

It is not clear why to waste time, money, resource and so not very powerful hardware on something that is not profitable.

Guys can you help me with the benchmark issue, cause I want to try mining on my own laptop. Even if it's not profitable.

He already said it's for testing reasons (twice - not even sure how I missed it in original post). Mining is still good and you are giving bad advice.

It is not clear why to waste time, money, resource and so not very powerful hardware on something that is not profitable.

It might be a problem with antivirus/windows defender. Try disabling both and reinstalling NEWEST version of Nicehash from official website.

EDIT: Also, try installing Xmrig and running it since nicehash gives you headache.

Also, I do not see your CPU on list here: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator
So your CPU might not be supported or it might be too old to run miners at all. You ought to check that.

Well. There's your first problem... You haven't made exclusion for Nicehash in your Antivirus. All antivirus detect nicehash as virus due to it mining on your machine. You cannot avoid detection unless you disable antivirus or make an exclusion in options.

Stupid question but why antiviruses detect it? It must do something to wake them up. Anyway I paused it and loaded nicehash, same error, but it took longer to show me the "Error during benchmark".

I see that you are confused about the whole thing

Almost all anti-virus will detect any miner as a threat, because some malwares put a miner on PCs victim, and this miner will mine for the hackers, can you imagine a thousand of PCs mining toghether?

So you have to let nicehash and miners work with permission of anti virus. You can even turn off you app and do the benchmark, maybe nicehash will ask for permission for firewall too

It's simple, and Nicehash is safe

I also ran it with Precise. Nothing changed. Same error.

I don`t think to mining is more profitable right now.You should focus on trading more better earnings and that will also make you more expert on time being in crypto. Every one his own way to do that, but you can do this instead of this CPU mining is not valuable currently when you are not using GPU mining using CPU mining that not bring you much good result.
