I think it was quite expected since bitcoin had been in the same price range for quite long.
A move had to be shown to a change in the price. Many people were expecting a short term bull run by bitcoin.
Though bitcoin increased price, the altcoins suffered a good loss since many altcoins decreased in price as soon as bitcoin surged.
I guess people are moving their money from altcoins to bitcoin.
Though the price of BTC has increased I think there will be another correction where bitcoin's price will decrease again followed by a surge in it's price.

Always expect a pullback or the retracement after the price surged. It is good to see that the bitcoin is now making a move after its long sideways that took a lot of weeks. There is now a short term uptrend because the price is now above the 100 MA and 50 MA which considered as medium term and long term support. The momentum of the bitcoin is going down and it seems that it will create a lower highs in this following days. There is now new resistance formed at $11400  but te good thing is we are still above the overbought area in the RSI.

TBH, $500k will might take time before we will reach that range of price. That was too much prediction for this year.

Yeah, and I'd find it very optimistic to anyone could think about it. I'd rather have to cry asking for help on how I can buy a few sats because it is really expensive. I can't afford it, though. If we can reach back to $20k again, I really happy with that and I am contented enough. Maybe there is no wrong if we ask for more but the situation is really out from reality that it takes.

Anyway, we live in this kind of speculative market and I know that everyone is never hoping for deep lows but a satisfying price. That is no wonder why people are looking for a higher price than it lives at $10k, $20k, $50k, it gonna be more.

Being optimistic is never a problem but we should know also how to accept disappointments or dissatisfaction. We can't really predict the exact fate of bitcoin's price but as long as it is increasing don't hesitate to take advantage of it if you think that its price is enough for you to sell. You have full control of your asset and you should be accountable with the fate of your money.

Once you know how to read and observe the market, that will help you to have a good decision making.

That's what I learned on what happened before, it taught me a lot of lesson when the bitcoin's price increases in Dec 2017.

If you have been following crypto fo a long time, you will understand that the current sudden rise in price is nothing new and you should not be surprised if the reverse happens because it is a random pump which happens the most time when the whales enter the market. Such sudden jump creates a lot of attention that leads to a continuous increase in the trading volume of bitcoin. However, Ethereum has been touted to further increase due to the upcoming ETH 2.0 but there is no specific reason behind sudden increase in price of bitcoin but rather a massive pump

Sorry but what Happens in 2018?i am not  aware that there are some good movement that year aside from Ethereum that reached the Highest value in January before dumping again so hard.

There is no need for a reason for Bitcoin to pump or dump, because the price of Bitcoin is volatile it can go up suddenly.
So there is no need for a reason Bitcoin rises above $ 10,000. But according to my guess Bitcoin rises because of the halving
effect, usually the halving effect occurs a few months after halving happened. Maybe the increase in the price of Bitcoin can
be until 2021.

Yeah I agree, just like what it did in $9K level, it breaks above and so it will be staying again for a quite some time in $10K BUT we aren't sure about this, it might decline a couple days from now or rise til $13K, technical analysis won't work, this is what I like in bitcoin, it gets exciting when it is moving.

From the article, what I think the reason of the surge is the first one " Banks Stacking due to changes in custody rules ", dollar is weakening and so they need some haven and they believe on bitcoin. Good thing isn't it?

It doesn't mean when the bitcoin's price pumped in late 2017 in almost $20k, it will also happen again this time.

I'm not being pessimistic about the bitcoin's price but I'm just thinking about the possibilities that might happen and stuck us.

We should think about the reality to lessen disappointment and dismay towards the price of bitcoin. We just need to accept the fact that bitcoin is volatile and we have nothing to do with that but to manipulate it properly.
Let's still hope for more pump and let's predict its price. For me, it will just stay between $12k to 14k, and that's only based on what I'm seeing in the market.

I was already expecting this increase to happen. Before now the price was at $7k and it took time before it crossed the resistance level and moved to $9k and the same started happening again, the bulls were able to keep it stable the same way they did before now. And after a long time it has finally moved to this $11k. This might trigger a FOMO if the price keeps going like this.

Bitcoin's price is not always in a positive movement or in an increasing state. In 2017-2018, we didn't expect that spike to occur, we're all surprised about what happened to bitcoin and most of us celebrated that time. But I don't think that it will happen again this year. Maybe in the next years, 2021 or 2022, there's a chance that it will reach that $20k again or much higher. 

It doesn't mean when the bitcoin's price pumped in late 2017 in almost $20k, it will also happen again this time.

I'm not being pessimistic about the bitcoin's price but I'm just thinking about the possibilities that might happen and stuck us.

We just need to face and deal with the reality that bitcoin's price is extremely volatile in the market. It is really hard to predict the future of bitcoin if you don't know how to observe the market movement. I'm still hoping that it will not only stay in $11k because I have a lot of expenses and bills that I need to pay during this quarantine.

I have a mistake done recently, I early converted my BTC when it hits the $10k, now I'm gonna buy again and wait for it to reach the $15k. well for the record the price of bitcoin at 11k$ staying for almost a week now and  there is no even sign of falling down.

Bitcoin price reached $11k recently and it seems stable at this position. Maybe we aren't going to see another pump soon. I thought there will be a price drop after reaching that point. But bitcoin price seems stable at this point. We may see a noticeable change on price at this weekend. The world haven't come out of the covid-19 crisis yet. So don't think we will see huge price up soon.

Before now the price was at $7k and it took time before it crossed the resistance level and moved to $9k and the same started happening again, the bulls were able to keep it stable the same way they did before now. We all expect things to happen with bitcoin, we always anticipate the price to increase however none of us know when it will be happening just like what happened last week, the price surges and most of us think that it will be just a short term but it's not, price continue to rise and there again speculation for where it is going after it is high. Just see where the price will be at last before climbing down.
