Why will a beginner always want to read about a scam and not the benefits he can achieve being here?

Give the beginners and newbies the benefit of the doubt. They have completely no knowledge about it so it's a good initiative by them if they are searching through the forum and reading things relatively to scams.

Some or many of them just want to search for specific things and don't want to stay so they're all just for the information, comes by and goes by.

A lot of people here want to feel important, but are unable to create anything of value, so they act as forum police pointing out scams that nobody would ever fall for as a way to pretend they are making a difference in the community. The sad part is that in their desperation to feel important they end up harassing everyone who tries to build anything here, chasing away talent and leaving this place as a cesspool of scammers and trolls endlessly fighting using multiple alt accounts to make posts advertising shady money laundering coin mixers and illegal gambling operations in their signatures to make a few bucks. It’s been one of the great disappointments in my life watching what this forum has devolved into while Nero watches Rome burn.

Because the main task of Newbies is not to lose your money when you first get acquainted with cryptocurrency. In fact, everyone wants to get a profit without putting much effort and knowledge. This is why offers a large selection of scams that promise 100% profit in 24 hours. If you learn not to lose your money, then it will be easier for you to earn it.

You are absolutely correct @OgNasty, there has been so many instances where things have gone wrong due to social policing by members in this forum. I cannot pin point as I fear I will lose everything that I worked for.

Are these newbies so dumb that they do not understand what scam can do to them? or are we so dumb to believe that we have no what to post and what will benefit the newbie???

First of all, posts about crypto scams are not against the forum rules. However, if you think that some post is low value, junk, not deserve to exist, just report it to moderator. If you don't like someones posts just press ignore button, if you consider crypto scam topic useless, just press ignore button again, but don't try to censor anyone here. Freedom of speech, you know.

Newbies aren't dumb, they are unexperienced. There's a big difference. Dumb people are those ones who consider themselves too smart and think they know everything.

I don’t consider those who offered copy/pasted ICOs as being talented. I’m talking about people who actually built innovative things from the ground up. One good example of talent that has moved on would be the developer behind directbet.eu, another would be Casascius.

To be honest, I didn't heard of these two particular projects, maybe they were just trying to bring innovative ideas into this wild cryptocurrency space, I can't judge and not going to. From scambuster's point of view, this is exception that proves the rule, most crypto projects are scam projects, the main goal of which to receive money and disappear. These scammers are competing with each other - who will be the first to create innovative and working idea - how to decieve newbies in the most efficient way. We have seen many of such ideas and many methods that they used, but those who just came haven't seen it yet, so goal is to show who are really talented and who are scamming.

Threads on scam sensitization seems to be on the rise due to the rate at which this scams increase and it's by the day. You never know who the next victim would be and so, the more alarms are been raised on a regular on the course hence, the proximity of a prospective victim becoming conscious of these scheme is possible. It might seem a similar topic but different content.
Although, a lot of us especially the newbies, jr.member and some lower ranks has found a lot of comfort here that we forget other sections of this forum, probably because we find it more easier to post or creates threads here. It's made a lot of persons forget that there is also a lot of activity in learning and many technicalities that plays out in the cryptosphere is treated properly in these other fields which is a major part as to our being here. I doubt a lot of us don't visit these other sections, once we come online, boom, Beginners and help. A common saying goes that, wise people talk less, which entails a lot of observation and learning. Sometimes, we've just got to learn more and let go posting just to fulfill a responsibility we feel to owe ourselves or the forum. We are all here to archive something but we've got to learn first. Hence, comments like this;

Is going to be common than we expect it to be. The quest to be relevant or make a difference remains the drive but, it shouldn't be abused by posting just for the fact that we feel like it. Make it count.

This only serves as a warning but this not means that we are making it negatively and have a negative impact on the community or in the forum in general.

Who benefited from this? Of course, not only newcomers but all of us. We have that specific board about scamming issues but there is no single thread that all scam problems where discuss. One reason why it is separately created is to have a clear discussion with that matter and to see the assessment of other members.

Because people will not write here every time they have a good experience while buy/sell or spend crypto. They will write and warn others whenever something fishy is happening or when they lose their coins.
When you read scam accusations against exchange where you trade or even hold some coins on, you get very scared, but you need to remember that 10000 people traded there without problem. One guy had a problem and he usually panic specially if exchange did not respond fast enough. Fast respond is impossible in times like was in 2017 when volume on exchanges doubled every month, so exchanges could not hire and trained enough help on time. .

Scammers are everywhere, infact Fiat related Scams are more prominent than Crypto Scams. Why are we intentionally talking about Crypto Scam always in this thread, when we know it just a small fish in a big pond of Scams.

Oh, so because there are more scams happening with fiat we should stop talking about crypto scams as it will destroy the mantra of cryptos being the saviors of the world. Scams happen, point! Acting like an ostrich will not solve the problem nor will it give bitcoin its virginity back.
Thousands of scams happen each day, every day you see something new and if you choose to stop speaking about the only effect will be that more and more newbies will get scammed and that reputation you care so much will get even dirtier.

There are other threads that are regularly updating about scams and how to avoid them. I am not against scam related topics I am against portraying the newbies that cryptocurrency is all about scams.

It seems you are only interested in promoting scams in cryptocurrency. How many times have you thought or tried promoting benefits of cryptocurrency. The impression that you are giving to newbies is that cryptocurrency is all about scameers and scam projects.

If you are a beginner into the forum what are the board you need to visit this is the Beginners & Help because you just need to have an assist and guide about your problem and questions about the platform you have right now.

It's better to ask other people than to be dumb and pretending that are known as those things.

Each member didn't know all about those scams so they want to become aware to help their selves and others too therefore they are posting those into thread In beginners & help also in Scam Accusations.

The above quote is what is pointed as the intent of Beginners & Help. To be fair, the questioning spirit is less widespread on this board than the informative one, and lacking a steady flow of inquisitive threads, having a bunch of informative ones with content that is more appealing to beginners seems fitting.

Scams are, unfortunately, around us every day, and the more awareness and learned one becomes on the different types, the less likely he is to pull the tripwire on one himself. From that point of view, awareness is important, and Beginners & Help seems a good starting place for this type of information (despite there being a more in-depth board on the matter – though it’s not where a beginner would land really with ease on the forum).

There are of course many more topics that Beginners & Help could cover, of a gayer nature (read here as original meaning of the term gay), and some positive topics (as with a non-negative connotation) would help to counter the negative aura of scam related topics.

I’ve often wondered what the impression for a real Newbie is when he steps on the catwalk of Beginners & Help. Ideally, he should be able to assess what’s what, and calibre on his own what to look out for and how to safely enjoy the ride, being able to engage in Q&A sessions with cheek.

If it's about specific scam project then it should be posted in the scam section but if it is about tutorial guide about scamming then it's ok to post it here, in scam section there is a format here, you need to have subject to make your thread valid, or it will just be deleted.

Yeah right, if the method of the scammers is new to us, we should post it right away but let's not forget to use the search button in case someone has already posted it before us. But if now one has post it, we should post it to warn everyone about that new hacking method. Because it really useless when post it after someone became a victim of it. The only problem it'll cause is the other topics that contain tips and other good resourceful posts for the newbies are being buried with this scam topics. how about someone creates a thread then all of the scams will be posted there?

I think the purpose for them posting topics about scams is to inform, to help, to warn and also to contribute to the forum and we can't hide the fact that the other purpose is to gain merits, you're right too we can't ignore that some of the threads are just reiterated from the past threads and some are identical but it actually helps someone. They definitely know the benefits of it otherwise they will not bother to know the crypto, but newbies might not know the scams lurking in this field so it's better to warn them about it. It may be useless to others but it may be useful to someone.

Since when is posting scam warnings or guides to not be scammed became promoting scams?
You are trying to negate the fact that newbies fall victim to cryptocurrency scams and I gave you proof that it isn't the case.

I can't count how many times I've explained the benefits of cryptocurrencies and anything related to it both online and offline. I also mention to them the risks of phishing, $5 wrench attack, ponzi and other types of scams. It's better to tell them all and let them decide than just telling one side of the story.
