I don't think OP was serious when this thread was created. No way to reach this kind of high price points for less than 6 months. The BTC price has to touch $40000 and the alt season has to start for ETH to reach those mentioned prices. No need to overthink these arguments, the speculative opinions are called speculative for the reason

Maybe just to attract attention from the users here. Though we are expecting to see eth 2.0, I don't think they will reach that value this year. If you consider that price, now think of how much bitcoin will be if eth will indeed achieve the $10k level? I guess, the OP just want some discussion, but not serious discussion. Honestly, $10k to $12k is that too much. The bull run that will happen should be higher and stronger than what we have when Ethereum got $1.4k.

The figures sound really big and for some people too good to be true but people forget this when they hear bitcoin predictions where some people predict next peak to be over 100k, some say over 200k and some predict 500k to 1 million after next halving so if that is possible why 10k eth is not possible?

People are predicting too much high amount for ETH, it cannot increase in a straight line and surely it will dump hugely. It should increase it's price step by step in this way, it will stay strong in the market. I think $500 to $700 is the price that ETH can reach this year and it would be difficult when it comes to the $1000 milestone.

If the Ethereum price was 10-12k, how much was bitcoin at that time? maybe even bigger it could even be above 50-100k for bitcoin I don't think this will happen in a short time, remember the cryptocurrency market is so fluctuating that at any time it can be freefall without anyone knowing so I don't think the prediction will come for me.

Even 5 years are pretty less if you are targeting a $10k price for ethereum. Even if the ethereum price would double every two years that will also take more than 8 years for the price to reach $8k. Ethereum is facing a huge resistance above $450 to $500 and as the price has already fallen below $400 it will take more time to reach that price point of $500. Also the stock market is performing the same actions as the crypto market now a days and since it is also down this confirms that the price isn't gonna be in a bullish run for long.

 5 years may not be, we really don't know whats going to happen in 5 years, sure it could be too much if everything goes like this but if some things change we could actually see 10k ethereum. I am not saying it is probable, but I am saying it is not impossible, we have seen so many things changed in the world I wouldn't really be shocked. In 2017 bitcoin had a yearly low of 700 dollars and yearly high of 20k, do you think that was something people expected? Something that was regular? That was impossible in my mind honestly, if someone told me that I would have said they are tripping.

Hopefully it can happen, I don't hope it can happen this month. But just by the end of 2020 and the price of BTC could go up to 15k $, that was a success. But I'm scared it could go lower and crash just like the previous times
