Lens continued their winning streak this week after hosting Nice at home and defeating the visiting team with a score of 2-0. I only watched the highlights of their match and I was quite pleased with what Lens did in this match, especially from their striker, Odsonne Edouard, who scored two goals in his team's victory. His current statistics are quite impressive with 7 goals and 2 assists. I think he is a successful purchase from Lens this year.
Now perhaps PSG should be careful with what Lens does this season.

Lens will need a lot of luck to maintain consistency over a long period, and they might run out of steam as they enter the second half of the season. Nevertheless, Lens performance so far should be appreciated, they are working hard to break PSG dominance in Ligue 1. PSG certainly still have many opportunities to take over the top spot, one of which is when they face each other directly.

I also quite agree with what you said. When Lens and PSG meet in the second half of the season, I'm not confident Lens will be able to beat PSG, as PSG's current team isn't completely weakened yet. Meanwhile, other rivals like Marseille and Lille are both still five points behind Lens and four points behind PSG, so it's unlikely they'll be able to stop Lens and PSG in the race for the Ligue 1 title this season, although the chances and opportunities should still be considered in the second half of the season.

Lens are becoming a big problem for Marseille and PSG who are looking for a way to stay at the top of the table. This force Lens are going with reminded me of how Lille and Monaco played when they won the league title some seasons ago, it was like a movie till they season came to an end, now Lens are going on the same path to winning the title and I hope they continue to mount more pressure on PSG and Marseille who are getting close to the top spot.
A huge win for Lens with a clean sheet would make them continue getting the job done, their mentality is better now compared to last season where they could not even get close to the top 3 or act like title contenders. Was expecting Marseille to be at the top but the way these guys (Lens) are going I feel this might be their year to win something big, it was indeed a good display tonight against Nice.

I don't know how they manage not to score against Marseille for example. 2.21 xG but no goal. I know Rulli was on his day but still you should be able to find a way to improve your form. This loss has pushed Monaco down to the 9th position...

Yes, it's definitely very exciting and that makes everything much more beautiful. i am very happy that all this work is being done during the championship. PSG doesn't seem to want to abandon the championship and they're at a point where i never imagined the league would be so competitive. i really like this championship.

Yes, definitely, but i wouldn't worry too much about them if i were PSG or Marseille. They're certainly putting in some effort and showing they have a lot of strength, but we can't say they're really strong enough to easily win the championship.

Monaco has been playing inconsistently in recent years and one time they can beat PSG and then lose to an underdog. It is also unclear why Hutter was fired at the beginning of the season, because Monaco was playing well and although Pocognoli seems to be a good coach and won the Belgian championship, but still 9th place is very bad for Monaco.
If we look at the statistics, Monaco creates a lot of chances and is in the top five in terms of xG, but their conversion rate is much worse, ranking them 9th or 10th.
They also have problems in defense, where Monaco is among the worst in terms of goals conceded, because 26 goals conceded in 16 games is consistently more than one goal per game.
In general, it is clear that Monaco is in a deadlock and it is unclear whether it will be able to get out of it under the leadership of Pocognoli.

I blame Luis Enrique for not having many rotation options because he was too relaxed when the transfer window was opened; he believed he could dominate the French Ligue 1 with the same players that won the treble last season without knowing that injury could make him to struggle this season if he didn't have good squad depth. The January transfer window will soon open, so Luis Enrique can bring in few players to PSG for PSG to improve their performance.

It is actually not too late to make up for the supposed mistake he is been blamed for by you, he has the January transfer window to still get that done and also to possibly get his tactics fixed too, since he will be having other games asides the Ligue 1, but I still trust him to be in charge ans will have everything under control, PSG may still win the title this season.

Lens is not looking like they are dropping points that would give PSG the advantage to go back to the top of the table because they are still in good form but the league is still very open and Lens may not maintain their level of form till the end of the season which is the only way to win the league ahead of PSG so let's not conclude till after January when they must have reached the middle of the season, untill there are few matches left it is still possible for PSG to win the league despite their position as in the second position.

There's a lot of competition in the French league this year, and it looks like this battle will continue until the final weeks of the season. We remember how comfortably PSG played in previous years; the league wasn't as enjoyable back then. Now, many teams have a chance to win the championship, and any team that makes a mistake falls behind in the standings.
All teams are doing their best to avoid losing points. Marseille's loss in their previous match was very bad for them, but they will still continue to fight for the championship

Yeah, I agree AS Monaco is bad this season but they played a decent game yesterday in my opinion. They were just unlucky for not scoring a goal. They actually did scored a goal, a fantastic one for that matter but unfortunately it was ruled offside. AFAIK that should be a valid goal but the refree decide otherwise.

Regardless, Monaco need to improve their game. They have a fair squad to be above of where they are now. Lamine is doing some magic in their midfield and Greenwood has been superb too. What else is stopping them from moving higher? That should be a disturbing question for the coach to ponder upon.

He couldn't shoot immediately after his feint because he had to step over Rulli's arms, what a luck for Marseille! So, it could be said that the goalkeeper didn't commit a direct foul, but his arms obstructed the player's movement, it could be seen as a peculiar refereeing decision.

Monaco were robbed, otherwise someone explain to me the disallowed first Monaco goal for offside against another Monaco player. How was he actually involved in the play? (In this type of situation, the play continued, and the player, initially offside on the left side of the goal, was no longer in an offside position at the end of the play that led to the goal; he in no way influenced the play or interfered with the goalkeeper.)

Now there are three challengers against PSG: Lens, Marseille, and LOSC.

With undomination of PSG in this season and surprising good performances from Lens, Marseille and LOSC, PSG truly have high risk of losing their crown. They will have to decentralizing their player resource for UEFA Champions League which is more attractive and important for PSG. Hence, if they lose focus in Ligue 1 and if challengers are good and consistent enough, they can take over the crown of PSG.

Well I thought I was too paranoid, but no. At least someone else is giving confirmations on what I just posted.

 In cases like that, any goal is normally and logically allowed. That wasn't the only incident that benefited Marseille. In European leagues, it's better to be one of the two or three top teams as they are always favored by the referees. A penalty not given and two goals disallowed for marginal offsides was too much for Monaco, who certainly didn't deserve to lose this match. Despite VAR, the refereeing heavily influenced the outcome. Who knows, maybe their fixtures was for Marseille to win game by all means possible? IMO, it wasn't a good game at all... It became boring the moment I realized things weren't done the right way.

For know we should give them (Lens) the praise but expecting them to stick to that number 1 spot for a longer period is something I don't think will last, they are also reminding me of Arsenal but let's not mix the whole thing and wait to see how long Lens will still be in control of their games. PSG on the other we know them to always be at the top of the table every season and it became a birth right, that's why the whole Lens staying on top looks like a dream (at least to me) and if it stays that way then Marseille and PSG who are suppose to be at the top will have to start asking themselves what went wrong but for now I'd say let Lens enjoy the time they have at the top.

If we look at the points table in the top 5, they're indeed that close, allowing them to easily overtake each other. PSG hasn't even been able to retake first place. Lens, on the other hand, has managed to hold onto first place in Ligue 1 for quite some time, and they've also won their last five matches.

On the other hand, LOSC, who have been embroiled in controversy and regulatory issues with Ligue 1, secured a victory against Auxerre yesterday. And in this match, the play was incredibly intense. Just imagine, there were a total of 7 goals (Auxerre 3 goals + LOSC 4 goals), and a flood of red cards, 4 in that match, especially in the much more tense second half.

What I feel is that the responsibility on PSG this season is not compared to others, remember that they have the UCL title to defend, moreover their two most important players have been injured for a while coupled with the recent injury of another player in a crucial position, Mendez. Those are the things that's contributed to PSG decline in their league this season. However, there's hope cause Lens is only gaping them with a point.

Lens and PSG will fight for the title of ligue 1 this season. Marseille and Lille have already fallen behind. Also, their performance is not consistent.

Marseille have lost points in two of their last 5 matches. If they had not lost points in these two matches, marseille would have been in the top spot. Marseille's boys have scored the most goals in Ligue 1 this season. They have scored 36 goals in 16 matches, and PSG is in the next position. On the other hand, Lens , who are at the top of the table, have been able to score  28 goals. All three of these teams are quite strong. Now if Marseille wants to participate in the title fight, they  must play well consistently. If their performance is irregular, they will fall further behind in the title race.

Lens' performance is a pressure on PSG for us, which is a threat to PSG, but I still think that if PSG's performance continues and they play well, they will also defeat Lens. If PSG wins all matches and Lens fails in the match, then PSG has an advantage. If PSG fails, then it will be more of an advantage for Lens.
