For the first time in years alright months I would be the first to announce a purchase.

Lol.

Well not the X format but this should do and I used the opportunity to check the price the prior week bitcoin was bought.
And it was the top top
No wonder they didn't share it.

Well, not the top. In fact, they bought cheaper than last week and the highest average price they bought at in a week was $123K a year ago.

It's yet another step in the headlong rush forward, praying that the price of Bitcoin in the future will continue to sustain the system.
Yeah but sadly Bitcoin price doesn't really correlate directly with their preference share.

I think it does, not as directly as MSTR price but it does.

Purchase a little lackluster compare to their counterpart but I noticed that they used similar amount like prior week
$22M well with price difference The amount of Bitcoin they got different.

Nice catch on the $22M comparison.

Returns on Strategy preferred shares may underperform in a BTC bull market as yields, demand and distribution sustainability concerns could all have an adverse effect on returns. True test of the structure will be in a BTC bear market, of which we havent yet seen.

Despite BTC appreciating in value, Strategy appears to be buying BTC in a similar range indicating Strategy commitment to its BTC accumulation strategy. Will be interesting to see how the financing pieces of their strategy evolve relative to their BTC holdings.

This is really amazing. It will be interesting to see how strategy will balance further buying of bitcoin with it's financing needs because market conditions will definitely change.

As far as I can see there was no buy this week. Is anyone following Saylor's X to find out why? Normally, aside from the weeks when the books are closed at the end of the quarter, there’s usually a week here and there when no purchases are made. Theoretically, this maintains a certain degree of unpredictability, and keeps the markets guessing.

Well maybe because they do buy back on STRC, base on their tweet yesterday.

Well I guess this is the latest activity they have done for this week, then maybe next week they resume on their Bitcoin accumulation.

Maybe at this point they try to balance their accumulation, then pay attention for awhile in their own stocks. To minimize their dividends and other risk they might encounter.

This is probably the most reasonable course of action after the dumb move to deplete the reserve and the initial sale that caused the drop in the MSTR and STRC share prices: replenish the reserve, repurchase STRC, and avoid making large purchases of Bitcoin. Apart from that, it would be nice if they thought about MSTR shareholders instead of constantly diluting their holdings, but you can’t have it all at once.

Exactly, then also it seems that their aim for now is stability and not those trying to chase for something big.

Doing those buy backs, this will eventually help them to buy lots of them, also to became flexible on things they need. It can also help them to have great position, once there's great opportunity came.

But they cannot avoid that, their are share holders especially those who wants Bitcoin might get frustrated on their no Bitcoin buy this week. But for me I think their current action they made is fine for now.

This is a classic example of corporate cash management at a time when cash flows are generally stagnant. In fact no there are new emission in last week.
As far as I think, Saylor had already stated in the past that he would support new price levels for Strategy stocks by carrying out a buyback, and given that the share price has risen from 70 dollars to 100 dollars in just a few months, this move fits into that context.
Furthermore, as the buyback to support the share price tied up almost 50% of the available cash, and given that cash flows have recently declined somewhat, he has not purchased any further bitcoins.

I came across a thread about an Ai firm or something that dabbles in being a treasury company
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5598112.msg67286070#msg67286070
And they haven't gotten their funds from the custodians they are using.
Yes Strategy does the same with Coinbase and other custodian without thinking about all these
I was always surprised they don't even use multisig and just trust the custodian.

The performance of datavault the supposed company has been so bad in years
Why? Not only because of reverse split the owners have been issuing common shares like its air.

I hope this becomes a wake up call on treasury using a custodian without back up or something.
