Definitely a DeFi Hype, many sees a potential for decentralizing finances. These what the hype of DeFi brings and many were taking advantage before it will start again to outgrown by other hype that investors or whales soon to do. Better still analyze what the project still is other than putting the DeFi term.

Can you atleast name few dead projects that pumped because they implement DeFi feature? I would like to know their names, I don't pick projects that are once dead and come back to live, I'm into DeFi projects but the top DeFi projects only e.g COMP, Oikos, DIA etc

Be careful what you wished for, that's what I can pass unto new crypto investors on this forum, DeFi Hypes are real and can be dangerous tool for bad projects too, many bad projects will try to claim it's name and mind you DeFi isn't the real culprits here.

DIA is a big DeFi project, not just a project trying to use DeFi hype this year like many others, this project have been in development since 2018 and yes I believe it's congestion in eth network that makes fee that high, I'm glad you invest in a better DeFi project unlike many you blindly invests.

Yep, that sums up the current alt situation and craze. First we had ICO, then security tokens were the next big thing, after that IEO appeared, then shitcoins started switching on bnb chain, and now we have defi.
I expect that to be over when enough people loose their money in those pump&dump schemes.

To be honest, fees are not high just because of that. There are quiet a few scams that are based on Ethereum that are causing that+ tether. (if you check ethgasstation you will see that in top 5 there are 2 scam projects)

I would say that we are in the Defi Hype season already. Again, check the numbers, billions worth of money is flowing, everything that has some "Defi" into a project will have a chance to be pump again. And I'm sure everyone will agree that we are in the beginning stage of the ICO madness in 2017, so I'm expecting that something in the last quarter specially November-December, there could be a massive pump on the Altcoin market again.

Absolutely right, same things happen when the ICO 2-3 years ago this just hype, but make another problem on Ethereum network, I don't know how the Ethereum developer solve this issues. Defi craze seems to be real but i think it should be reasonable and authentic these 10x gains overnite those too in unknown projects is kind of strange and suspicious and there is high probability that the investors chasing such coins can lose in the end because thesd can prove to be pump and dump coins.

More reason why we should be educated on how a DeFi works I prefer to trust old Defi sites they are the early one that popularized Defi it's better to invest in these Defi anyway they are many of them already and they have their own page in both Coingecko and Coinmarketcap.

Sometimes, investors do take a risk just like today for the sake of making a profit even if their investment has no development.

There's a hype but not all the projects adding defi are profitable to invest, some are not legit and they don't attract investors TBH.
Check the list again, https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/... now, tell me if all of the pump 100000%, some of them are even negative at the moment.

DeFi projects have the hype but not all projets in DeFI are hype, that's the reality if you look closely.
