Signature campaign:
You can earn money weekly by participating in the signature campaign. However, most signature campaigns do not accept low rank profile. That's why you need to rank up your profile. If you want to rank up the profile, you have to earn merit.

Bounty campaign:
You can earn some money by participating in the bounty campaign. But for this you have to be very patient. Because after a bounty campaign for a certain period of time, the payment is too late and low. Some campaigns will not pay you. But for a low rank profile, bounty can be a good way to make money.

I don't think there's something necessarily wrong with gaining some income from Bitcointalk. I mean, both of us are in signature campaigns, aren't we?

The problem just arises when people come here solely for the money, even when they don't know crap about the Bitcoin, which is the main niche of the forum they're trying to earn in. Those kinds of people end up just spamming to gain post count and activity, effectively decreasing the quality of conversations here in Bitcointalk. Thank God for the merit system, though.

I do both and I like it  . Though I can earn more from trading or other sources of income still there's no harm getting extra pennies from signature or bounty as long as you do your part and abides on the rules of the forum.

Making money online has become difficult and bitcointalk is not an exception. A simple Facebook share or Twitter retweet used to pay 10 bucks here but it is not the thing nowadays. Signature campaigns are paying good if you hold high rank. So, overall it is difficult. Projects like ReferCoins are keeping forums like this active. Selling service is another way to earn but again without experience and good rank, you won't be hired frequently.

The merit and trust system is a big help for this forum to get rid of spammers and scammers, now everyone here is compelled to follow guidelines and stop spamming this forum with useless posts, because of you are going to participate in any bounty campaign your trust and merit is your qualification that you are not a spammer nor a scammer and if you have merits and trust you are not only respected but you are qualified in all bounty campaigns.

First you have to start by contributing immensely to the forum, monitor the system to know thing about the forum, some people mind set is to join bitcointalk  because of money which is bad.
Joining the the forum does not determine that you are going to be rich but following the steps of the forum can make you to achieve your aims.
Yeah it's obvious that there is money in bitcointalk community when you programmed yourself very well, but registering into the forum because of money is bad ideology.

This is the problem nowadays with the users that has always wanting to earn. Bounty hunting now is different from before because most of the projects before are successful and are also paying bounty hunters promoting the project. It can be seen that there are many altcoins now in the market listed in coinmarketcap.com show that those are real good and working project to which others are still in progress.

Now, if you will going to check this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0(Bounties Altcoins) had a lots of project being promoted and only few of it will really pay the bounty hunters. This is why it is more likely a waste of time and resources joining them when in fact they will not pay you. Looking for those good project still difficult even with some users here suggesting to join this project because of blah blah..still not a guarantee that one can be paid. Other than that I do not want also to promote a scam project to which many investors will get scam also because of me for promoting the scam project. Scammers and fraud people were not scared and they are very hard working people for they can earn fast and easy money. It is just like stealing money from others in the daylight.

How I wish that new comers would learn first in cryptocurrency and how it could change their life integrating it to make life easier and comfort into daily basis and not just by earning few cents to which it is likely a waste of time and resources.

To be honest my answer is both because I couldn't say that I'm only here for knowledge right? Basically, I'm earning through signature campaign and bounty campaign cause you don't need to put a money on it so you maybe could try it.

We are almost the same but the difference is I just came here to learn but I see some opportunities where I can get some extra money while engaging in some of the conversations here. I grab the opportunity and after a while I found myself ranked to Hero Member. One way to get hired by the signature campaign managers is to have a decent amount of earned merits, that's why most of the newbies are working hard to get one. but in my case, it was not really necessary because I ranked while sharing some useful knowledge and at the same time posting helpful replies.

I dont think any of us is guilty of making money on this forum if it is accompanied by active contribution to the forum and its user.

Signature campaign are not meant for spammer, low-quality poster and troll, as signature campaign are aimed at those with good post quality. I am sure about that. Even if you are a quality poster when you are accepted into one of the campaign and suddenly the quality of your post drop and is just spreading spam, you will likely be excluded from the campaign you are promoting.

Many opportunities are still being given to low quality poster in bounty campaign because manager do not set good standard in selecting participant for various reason. Insufficient funding from investor is the reason why they need to spread the word about the project in more forum even though they employ low quality poster.

I chose both and that is gaining knowledge and making money. As long as I am not a spammer and a troll then I dont think it will be a problem because I am not here for money alone.

Expecting to earn money from this forum is not a crime, if you are sure you are qualified to participate in the signature campaign just do it as long as you aren't spamming, the bounties is a little bit different, even though nowadays many BMs have started to give strict rules but it is difficult to apply in some types bounty like social media, for contests you have to create authentic content otherwise you will same with spammer just focus to earn money not the quality.

Everyone started somewhere and if your goal is to learn more about crypto currencies rather than only make money, you will likely be around in the years to come. I joined the forum last April 18, 2016, and I have no idea about earning in the forum, my purpose was just to know more about crypto and to learn how to gamble using bitcoin, that was the main purpose that time. The first time I came here to Bitcointalk, I thought it’s just another source for me to promote my SEO or article writing/blogging service but paid in Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other cryptocurrency. I started doing that in the middle of 2017 when Bitcoin was soaring high like crazy.

The project that I entered back then was just an e-sports blog, where I get paid for my contribution. After the project stopped, I looked beyond. I promoted a Twitter growth following service, but didn’t get any clients. After that, I am curious about signature campaigns. I could have joined early, but I was a low ranking member back then, so I am not qualified in joining those sig campaigns that are paying in Bitcoin.

Then I’m starting to invest small in various ICOs, hoping that they would rise in value after token sale. Months later, I was introduced to a local group where they made a lot of money in joining airdrops and bounty programs. At first, I didn’t have any clue about them. As they taught me everything, my eyes went shining and I went crazy in joining lots of airdrops and bounty programs.

And then, I started developing myself as a keynote speaker and becoming advisor, developmemt team member and ambassador in various projects. Through thick and thin, I learned. I made mistakes in the past regarding my decisions, but that’s just part of the process to make me grow and becoming a better person and a community member. I still have room to grow though.

They changed my life. The reaction of theymos towards stopping signature campaign has said it all, the forum isn't against any of the means of earning some pocket change that has been officially implemented by the forum. Btw guys, there is another thought that has to be considered. It is not a secret that newbie come to this forum only to earn and they are a good part of the one who make this popular. I.e bounties are one of the instruments to make this forum more popular. Without newbies and their participation in bounties bitcointalk will become less popular. I'm talking from Russian local board point of view. There are few newbie that appear and show interest to cryptocurrency, while in 2018-2019 they were much more (bounty times). Topics like "is bitcointalk.org dying" start to appear.

So this forum can be considered as a source of income, but this those who wants to use it only to earn should be limited somehow.

I agree that forum activity would go down significantly if signature campaigns suddenly got banned, but I don't think that's in anyone's interest. But to lower chances of that happening, I think that signature campaign managers should be more strict and set bar higher when accepting the participants. Same goes for bounty managers and altcoin campaigns, as those produce huge amount of spam.

This is what theymos had to say about the subject, and why signature/bounty managers play an important role here.

I like that good forum members can make money, especially when said forum members are in poorer countries and this is a major opportunity for them. I very much do not want to destroy the sig-ad/airdrop/bounty "industry". But I am not going to tolerate people posting garbage upon garbage. You forget one point, even though it is very rare to happen. Donations. If you put your Bitcoin address in your profile (or in your signature) and you write very good articles (i.e. in the highly technically focused subcategories), it can happen that a generous donor donates a few mBTCs to you. This happened to me once a few years ago. It is a common reason but it is not bad. The initial reason why one member joins the forum is not a decisive component that user will be a good or bad member on the forum. People can change and they can become a good member on the forum if they contribute for the community.

Usually when someone says they are "new" it means they have no previous experience with something. You said you were new in the Beginners & Help section but in Meta you were reminiscing about the old days of the forum and making comparisons to how it is now.

I remember this forum long time ago, i used to have an account here, i forgot what my username was, but i do remember there was little activity in the altcoin section until the day that Dogecoin thread started then it was all altcoin and every hour there was a new one, then it was the HYIP section and shady casinos, now it seems like the most active threads are about internal politics inside Bitcointalk what most users don't find interesting to read, all those coins that launched here are not popular anymore, new coins and projects are using Twitter, Telegram and Discord to communicate with their community so Bitcointalk has no use for those people.

Just to add a bit to the topic of discussion: when I first joined the forum, signature campaigns weren't really much of a thing -- well, maybe they existed, but they were the farthest thing from my mind. And there was no such thing as a "bounty." I joined purely to learn more about bitcoin, cryptocurrency and the blockchain. And indeed I have learned a lot over the years.

I joined my first bounty in the 3rd quarter of 2018, and that was mainly to support a project run by a personal friend (the project was a flop and nobody got paid any tokens). After that, I thought, hey, why not join a sig campaign to rake in a few extra bucks for something I would be doing anyway? I do miss not being able to wear my own avatar, but I'd like to think my personality makes my posts and name stand out from most of the crowd.

That's probably the most important thing: if you do join a sig campaign or bounty, don't just go through the motions of writing posts without any sort of contributing substance. Don't add to the spam problem. Find a way to be unique and memorable; of course it helps if you have something interesting to say or can approach a problem/situation from a novel angle. At the very least, be funny. Don't just be an emotionless human spambot.

That being said, I have no problems with people who sign up for the purpose of making money, so long as they contribute in any positive way to the forum. I personally can't believe that sig campaigns were ever a viable advertising model but apparently they are.

Sorry for the confusion, i have problems with English, when i said "i am new" i mean to say that this account is new and i didn't feel like explaining my whole interaction with this forum in my conversation, instead i focus on the subject that is about earning money from Bitcointalk, but i seen you been trough my history and see that i am not actually new, i am an old user that was here around 2013 and then i left and i come back again with this new account, i think this can answer your question.

Just to add a bit to the topic of discussion: I am new here and i think signature campaigns are not good, when i see the same advertising spamming all the time it gets annoying, i think there is people here who only job is earning from signature campaign, with so many competition between users to wear signatures it brings problems like back stabbing, internal wars and who knows who else, and because posts are economically motivated they lack on substance and this is probably the most important thin, many of you who have signatures have nothing interesting to say, at least if your post is emotionless you can add some sense of humor so we can laugh and that 's why i will never support it and i will never do signature campaign and get paid for, if i ever do i will do for free for a project i like. I personally believe that sig campaigns are a source for spam.

As long as we can contribute positively to the forum, bounties and signature campaign are not prohibited. Even if someone can contribute, there is a chance of getting the chance to join and promote the best campaign on forum like Chipmixer and other.

I admit that following the autograph campaign can help me become one of the many user who have the opportunity to move up the rank of hero member from senior member. That is so much better than me having to stick to bounty campaign which consist mostly of scam project without being paid anything.

Faucet and trading have led me to forum recommended by friend. However, I was interested in several bounties which at that time still produced something to be enjoyed as a way to increase capital in my trading activities. However over several period my many post were very far from useful and the quality was still too low, even so I still had a chance to reach senior rank before the merit system was implemented. My thought and desire to study were higher after the merit system existed, because if I didnt, I would be left behind and could never reach this point. This forum is indeed a place where many company or platform that pays anyone who have the skills they are looking for. If you have a skills that is useful then you can use it to earn bitcoin rather than joininh bounty campaign.

Actually there is money in this forum but not that quite enough for a living. As a bounty hunter earning few cents for promoting signature is alright as only for small expenses in which it will not take much time to promote a project. 5 Posts per day is already enough to earn few cents for prepaid load or buying snacks if join in a good paying bounty project. However, mostly of the rewards here are not really that high and this is why we should consider this as part of having fun to be here while learning about cryptocurrency. Some sort of motivation and well have to also to do what is intended for us to keep the project doing well.

Yeah, well I think that's what many (or maybe just some) of us here knew about bitcointalk. I have to admit, I'm one of those people. But upon entering, you'll realize that it's not enough to think about earning without eagerness for learning. And you cannot earn unless you're knowledgeable about things discussed here.

Point is, we cannot really blame those who want to earn here. But they have to think of learning first because it'll feel much better if you're learning and earning at the same time. Plus, the former one is priceless.

It's great to share this kind of information with the community. I had no idea about all these earning opportunities and methods. I was only familiar with bounty campaigns, which used to be lucrative, and now not so much. At least that's what I heard from friends who introduced me to this forum.

Unfortunately, my job does not allow me to participate in many discussions here, so I use the forum primarily to read and learn about cryptocurrencies. But I will definitely research all these methods that you mention because I am trying to collect some cryptocurrency to get more acquainted with their possibilities.

There's a certain aversion towards bounty hunters, for a reason, I suppose, so new members fear that they won't be able to advance on the forum if they acknowledge their real motives.

No, I don't think you're spamming around. Everyone has the right to express his or her opinion. After all, this is a public forum, is it not? Spamming is writing unnecessary comments that most frequently have absolutely nothing to do with the subject or repetition of what has already been said. If bounty hunters spent at least a small percentage of their time engaging in conversations and adding something constructive to the community rather than just filling out reports in the Bounty section, most members would not have such a negative opinion of them.

We're kind of the same. At the beginning, I joined here because my friend told me that I can earn money here. Well, at that time I badly need it to support my expenses while studying. But as time goes by, I have realized that thinking of this place as a mere instrument for earning is not enough. Your information OP was very insightful and helpful. But for one to earn money, such members must first earn enough merit to rank up to the level he can be accepted on these campaigns. I wouldn't like to participate in bounties because I see that section as a place where only money-conscious members work. This is because they don't want to contribute to the forum but they want to start making money immediately. The Bitcointalk platform does not offer money to anyone, but anyone can earn money here if they have the capital. Here the capital I mean is not solely money, you must have an account and the knowledge or skills you have. Almost everyone who joins here, especially those who use a signature code on their profile, the goal is money, besides that you can also open services depending on the skills you have.
Anyone who knows how to make money on the Bitcointalk platform can easily get it, as long as you exist here and keep trying in your own way, you can make a lot of money on the Bitcointalk site.

We all know that the creation of this forum was not for providing opportunity to user to earn money from here but to learn about the crutial and basic knowledge of cryptocurrency like bitcoin. But later on this forum management allow project to launch Thier signature and bounties in order to increase the forum activity.
Through this forum not only user earn but also project earn too because this forum has too many user who has thousands of Bitcoin's and they invest thier Bitcoin in those casino project and as a result project and user both earn.
So the main point is that if we didn't participate in signature and bounties, the investor from this forum will didn't know about the project and as a result the project got loses.

I was told by a friend about a forum that could give me income. but I am more interested in the crypto casino sites on the forums. this is just my bad character, who initially followed friends to find additional income, but instead spent it at the casino.

I mean, I started with nothing before I joined this forum. After learning and gaining knowledge in this journey, I was given the opportunity and the privilege to participate in campaign signatures. From there, I was able to earn some BTCs which helped me in funding my education. So I guess it is normal for most newbies to aim in joining these bounties/signature campaigns. The problem lies when they tend to spam and create repetitive posts/threads which brings more harm than good.

 Anyway, in terms of my motivation, I came here because a friend told me I could make money. However, as I get older here, I've come to realize that there are things worthier than weekly income. There are definitely more things that are better than income, but this kind of perspective is relative. Remember that not everyone has the privilege of living comfortably without the need of thinking about their daily/monthly obligations. Yeah, I agree if you have a skill you are not limited you can make as much as you want, and you are not bounded by rules, gone are the days of rewarding bounty campaigns in the altcoin sections, don't look for Bitcointalk mainly to make money if you happen to become part of a bounty campaign be thankful but do not stop there, you have to learn more, contribute more and enhance your skill there are very few campaigns here that lasted for months or years, glad to be part of one.

All of my best bitcoin connections have come from attending meetups but I also do a good bit of connecting with people online and have met some of them in-person too. It's a great feeling.

I don't think I will ever make any money directly from this forum but I hope to gain more knowledge about bitcoin while also establishing some relationships with people who are looking to network and work on bitcoin related projects outside of this forum.

We cannot deny about the purpose of the majority when it comes to making money here on Bitcointalk. I was like them too back in 2017 after being inactive for more than 3 years due to not taking Bitcoin seriously.

I was broke & in bad debt when I came back to being active here on Bitcointalk. I was desperate to find making money opportunities here. I started by being a contributor of an esports blog who paid me via BTC on a short term basis.

Yes there are so many but we need to check ourselves on what we can offer since we cannot grab those opportunities if we are not eager enough to learn some skills or to reach to required condition before we can enter on those cash generating methods. The competition is so high so we need to step up among other participants so that we will be unique and get accepted to any field that we want to participate.

Sometimes many of us in this Forum have a way of forgetting to tell ourselves the truth, if not for the signature campaign I believe this place won't have to be crowded the way it is. Let's say the truth, if not for financial problems some of us won't bother to either take this place serious or even be active 24/7, I know some of the members here have better and high pay jobs but it doesn't seem so for others.

Being in Bitcointalk and earning doesn't mean you'll forget the main reason why you're here, the campaign does not change anything but I'll still give credit to Bitcointalk it made some individuals who they are today. So earning should also be seen as part of the mission together with learning, giving useful information concerning Bitcoin and contributing also.

I also would say that right now it is not only about forum members seeking for signature campaign to pay them for posting, but also the other way around is taking place, when signage campaigns are really interested in some of the users to advertise their services. The forum is the largest concentration of cryptocurrency discussions, the place to find answers, advice, product impressions and recommendations for improvement. And if there were no users whose opinion is valued and taken into account, then signature campaigns would not have such popularity. Interest exists on both sides. We are now even seeing a situation when signature campaigns are competing for the best members by offering higher payouts.

Everything in life is a step at a time rushing to get something doesn't work out the way we expect it to be.
The campaign you talking about are for higher ranked members doesn't mean you rank up some day and join any campaign. Continue contributing to the growth of this Forum also helps in achieving your aim, that's one thing that you need to consider before thinking of earning or joining a SIG Campaign.

Most of the people do not have a selling service here. 90 percent of forum users do not have a selling service or they choose not to sell anything here. Forum users still make money from their signature campaign. All you have to do is post constructive and you will rank up some day. If you can rank up and earn a good amount of merits, I guess managers will accept your application.

The main target should be writing good content for now. Learn new things, spend most times where you are interested most. If you are a tech guy, it won't take very long to rank up. Share your tech knowledge and I hope people will evaluate your posts.
