After the German government banned Visa and Mastercard in casinos in June and PayPal stopped processing online casino transactions because of sanctions last year things are starting to look good for bitcoin casinos in Germany.

What do you think?

Probably, and it seems that online gambling is legalised in Germany.

Germany to Officially legalize online gambling and poker.

And we all know that Germany is one EU country that is friendly and welcoming to crypto so I wouldn't be surprise if we are going to see Germany in the map as far as crypto online games is concern.

OP is correct, Bitcoin casinos will surge not only in German market but could also be in other countries as well.
Germany is a big country, they'll become a model and other countries will follow if they will see the positive economic contribution of crypto casinos.

In general, it would also help not only the casinos to grow but also the crypto market as whole as crypto casinos now are not only accepting bitcoin but altcoins as well, and we know with demand, price may boost up, and with this kind of news that could bring some hype to the market again, I wouldn't be surprise if bitcoin will continue to be appreciated by long term investors.

This is the reason why the author think bitcoin casinos will surge.

https://dailycasinobuzz.com/news/germanys-online-casino-gamblers-see-bitcoin-as-payment-option

Quote
More online gamblers use cryptocurrency
The demand for cryptocurrency among online gamblers in Germany is rapidly increasing. The country is scheduled to implement a new gambling law that will take effect in 2021.

Gamblers are eyeing the use of Bitcoin to avoid government restrictions when the new law is implemented.

Germany restricted online gambling operations in its territory.

So here's the real reason, since online gambling is illegal in Germany, gamblers will find an alternative to still gamble, so it's hard to expect that the government will regulate crypto casinos as online casinos in general are already illegal on its territory.

When we say Bitcoin casinos, it's not the bitcoin casinos operating in such country, it's the different casinos from different locations of the world, but in overall, the effect is good for the crypto market.

Wont still be a sure thing that other countries would follow the same path in talks of casino regulation. They do have different approach when it comes to this matter, if they do ban then they would surely
stick into that and its quite rare or unusual to see laws that had been changed or altered just because they had been influenced by other neighboring countries.

If Germany had legalized online casinos then having online crypto gambling would really have a chance to enter the market which would really be a good thing on the space.
It will not only add up volume but also it is already a good exposure on crypto's existence.

What do you think?

It seems the government has a strict restriction on online gambling in their territory they have a new law coming up in 2021 on gambling and there's no guaranty that the government of Germany will allow the use of Cryptocurrency either, it's still hanging if Bitcoin casinos will not have government crackdown so gamblers in Germany will have to wait and see but if gamblers will use Bitcoin in their operation without the government approval they will have to go underground because there is still new ruling if they are allowed.

You would really need to look at whether or not it's a reaction to the global downturn, or, it's in response to fraudulent activities (or some other credit-card based reason) or even if it is in response to a political or religious group pressuring the German Government.

Given BitCoin can be purchased via credit card, then it's quite likely that the DE Govt will look eventually to putting restrictive measures in place on their use in online Casinos.

What do you think?

I think the bitcoin casinos will not just surge in Germany but also in other countries because with the easy-to-use of crypto or bitcoin, and people will not have a problem using bitcoin. People can buy bitcoins from many exchanges, sellers (which are more than a few years ago), so they can send their bitcoin to the casino. Besides that, people will also use the other coins, not just bitcoin, and they will like to stay in the crypto casino. The other benefits for people are they don't have to do KYC in the casino because using the crypto as the payment option, and they will have a chance to hide their identity from anything. That can be the way for bitcoin to get popular in the gambling industry.

I think sooner or later most of online gambling site will use bitcoin as another alternative for deposit and withdraw. Like has happened now, most of the trading forex platform use bitcoin as an alternative, it can be made as an opportunity for the developer. And yeah, I just wondering why the developer still use money fiat for deposit/withdraw espcially in the country who stil uncomfortable to gambling, why they didn't use bitcoin?

Yeah, pretty sure that tokens will be replaced instead it will be bitcoin in those traditional gambling casino. There will be lesser resources needed by replacing those chips instead a device or smartphone will do to interact bets to place in a  certain games. The same goes to the winning. It is more credible I think than the traditional way of betting using chips. Nowadays as the technology evolves, we could expect changes little by little with the upgrade of technology. All of it will be apply to make everything in comfort that even include in gambling.

If bitcoin comes to be the last resort of gamblers in Germany then why not? people always want to use virtual money in their gambling activities online so Bitcoin is one of the best contender.

though altcoin can serve them as well, but first things first so bitcoin should be promoted before followed by choices.
This is a very positive news for crypto casinos, with this, we can expect more casinos will join the market and that would make crypto casinos to be more competitive to the fiat casinos. Liking that idea that it would result to surge of bitcoin casinos (actually, crypto casinos).
there are already plenty of casinos using crypto, try to check the service sectin how many new casinos that advertising in this forum now.

Again, as I have mentioned, Germany has a liberal mindset in terms of crypto adoption,

https://news.bitcoin.com/banks-germany-crypto/.

So this is really very positive news specially online gamblers, of course there are regulations to follow. So there could be a breakthrough news, specially online poker games which was recently legalised.

I don't think it would last long or we can expect that the demand would really grow.

They are using bitcoin to avoid government restrictions, and I think government will know that and if they order gambling using crypto will be illegal, I guess the adoption that we are expecting might not happen, also, even if the a country is pro crypto, it doesn't mean most transactions are done in gambling and since crypto is regulated in their country, I presume, so I guess it will be easy for them to track individual's transaction as people will use an exchange to convert their fiat into bitcoin and vice versa.

Then that is a good news, though there's a lot of casinos but only few are really gaining popularity in the forum while the adoption is going on.
I just hope that with more competition, it would result to better services of the casino. If these waves of people who would enter the crypto market, that would make crypto market more popular because they will introduce themselves on the number of casinos that are offering variety of games.

its weird how they ban the most trusted and legal payment methods for the sake of stopping people to gamble while they allow bitcoin to operate.

btc is supposed to be the payment method that government ban the most especially if its related to gambling or maybe they cant do it because bitcoin is decentralized . i like it more better than paypal or visa , this could lead for people to trust bitcoin .

They are gaining less popularity its because they are lacking on marketing stuffs out here but if they will conduct a massive promotion here they will surely gain some good fame just what like other did. In competition side for sure it will be more cool to see more competition since those serious casinos will take a race on their promotional techniques so that they will not left behind.

Casino is a big business and if they successfully lured gamblers then its a big hit for them.

They just increase crypto users by banning those gamblers who are using Visa and Mastercard.
And if these players will discover about online crypto casinos which don't require KYC and is legal in their country, they will endorse these to other players.
Word of mouth is very effective marketing tool. And hopefully, they will find this forum also.
Because checking the gambling board here will give them idea which are reputable casino sites to play with.

That would probably be the result, not sure if it's for long term though.

And if these players will discover about online crypto casinos which don't require KYC and is legal in their country, they will endorse these to other players.
I'm not sure about how they will regulate a crypto casino, but it could also be possible that when they regulate a crypto casino, it will require KYC.
Not sure about this one, but I'll check on this.

I'm sure they find it, any forum related to bitcoin, this forum is the most popular.

This is a very positive news for crypto casinos, with this, we can expect more casinos will join the market and that would make crypto casinos to be more competitive to the fiat casinos. Liking that idea that it would result to surge of bitcoin casinos (actually, crypto casinos).

Since usage will take place, the demands will bring the value to rise up. It's a good news to the entire community, adding bitcoin to casinos
as an option will definitely brings more players to use this currency.
Along the way even those who don't understand bitcoin will gather the interest  and sooner they will also start using it and enjoy
the services.

Decentralization really is a convenient tool to avoid centralization, why do government entities want to stop gambling at this time when it's one of the most profitable business that could help a country's economy during lockdown.
They've just make it worse, because people are now turning into Bitcoin and possibly migrating their wealth into it.

If the government in Germany would not banned cryptocurrency. There is a chance that people in Germany would switch to playing gambling in a crypto casino because I know that online casino sites are not illegal in Germany, as long it is licensed or registered in their country.

If most gamblers would move to bitcoin, it will only take time for the government to also implement new laws on bitcoin in Germany. I think the regulation is to prevent gamblers from gambling in illegal sites. Instead of avoiding the government's intervention, they should also stop gambling in illegal gambling sites
Regulating anything about the rule is the duty of the government and I believe the German government will soon issue new rule regarding crypto gambling site if the interest in crypto gambling grow.
That's why if the German government is showing a strict regulation with gambling as a whole, gamblers can't escape it for too long even if they will use crypto to avoid regulations.

Gamblers may experience new things with crypto gambling sites that can be good for crypto adoption, but if illegal gambling sites would also switch to crypto, then the government will also come after them. But if the government is positive with crypto adoption, then they can promote it as an alternative for online transactions.
