I researched very much in the net. I read numerous comments in the blogs. I saw to much messages in the telegram groups. and discord forums

and I found that most of the people really don't know why they chose their coin/token. just they know their coin is good and the future is belongs to them.

The Question Is: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will grow? (based on what?)

There are some good coins/projects that are in the market and people don’t want to invest in them, and that’s because they are scared of new projects. When new projects are launched, people don’t waste time in selling their coins and cashing out their profit, and this has turned to become the normal thing with every project. And what I have come to notice about some people is that they like to follow hypes.

Once they see that a project is getting hyped and the project is growing, they will quickly move into it. If you don’t believe that a coin is going to be successful, then it would be best for you to invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum, because these ones are reliable, and we all know their purpose, Bitcoin for transaction and ETH for smart contracts, and they both seem to be unbeatable in these areas.

If we talk about general public or common investors if they invest in a coin, even if they get in a wrong coin they will still praise it everywhere. Obviously because they jave invested and now they want to see its price growing so they do not have any other option so they try to shill the coin everywhere.

No one knows if the future of a project as most of them are always written on paper. Only time define their success, however when investing in a project or buying a token, one should do proper research as often called do your own research( dyor)
Project should be fundamental and technical, list on top exchanges, should do well with time if there is regular update from the Team

It caused by i do believe with my portfolios. I think that it's not only me but all of the investors were also thinking the same thing like me too because they were investing their money on what they have already called it as a promising project based on the various things.

Well that's true, some people buy coins or token because of hype, or because of what people said about the coin hence when they buy, they keep shouting "to the moon" without even knowing if the use case is capable of sustaining the price of the coin for a long time. In the same way, there are people who carry out their research before investing in any coin, these are the ones that have a good knowledge of why their coin will grow in the near future, although things can still change along the way. Hence, what makes a coin or token to grow is the use case, if it is good enough the coin will grow, if it is not then the reverse will be the case.

I'm currently looking to get involved in OpenPredict (OPT).

It has an impressive DeFi use case that essentially allows anybody to make a prediction about anything, quickly launch a smart contract to take on counter bettors, which will automatically pay out the correct share of the pool to the correct predictors. It can also be used to hedge against black swan events, and profit from practically any other event.

Besides potentially disrupting the DeFi space, it just sold out its $250k allocation like it was nothing, and will be launching with a $100k god damn market up. $100k in the DeFi space is just bonkers. even if it does a x50, it would still only have a $5 million market cap.

Bear in mind that many other DeFi projects have market caps in excess of 50 million... Which means a 500x multiplier is well within the realm of possibility. What do you guys think?

^  It depends, every other day new initial coin offering appears and seems to be promising to the investors, some creators say that it will be listed and some don't promise till the end of ICO. if Listed; it depends on the support, most altcoins that are listed on exchange sites turns to be a shit coin from a few pump, and some altcoins played P2P using MEW also turns into shit altcoins. The only thing that I can assure that a token will grow if the market value start from low and slowly increase value.

they were talking to people that invest on ico coins because these people will only try thier luck or will buy coins based on others feedback but deep inside they dont know the real truth about the coin that they picked up  .

while to non ico investors they are 99 percent sure on what they are getting  . its not that they think thier coin will grow but theres already a proof and it already happen many times

Have you did a research before? so many investors have been discussing with the developers especially on its tele group before they try to decide to invest on such project. I think that you should watch the reality as it becomes an opposite thing with your opinion.

Since this is an altcoin section. I believe you are asking about altcoins right? But with the exception of bitcoin, I trust that eth would still be a good potential coin for long term and still has room for improvement. There are some technical issues on the matter but its fine and Im sure Vitalik and the whole eth foundation will fixed and handle the bugs or issue on their network. Thats how a success could thrive, if you dont know how to fail then you can just forget being succesful. Cause in every failure there is a success.

I still hold bitcoin and ethereum in my wallet, because I believe both of them have a great future with an expensive value, but right now I am also interested in the IDENA project which has a unique Proof Of Person Blockchain concept, maybe you can read it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194871.0, I believe this project has great potential and will get more communities in the future, because they will release voting oracles in their wallets and smart contracts, but I don't recommend people people to invest there, people need to understand about the risk

Im looking for an altcoins that is already been existing for long period.

It means it is already established and survive the years that the market is not in good situation. It has progress and the development is consistent.

These factors can make you decide if you invest in a good coins.

Really? I don't think so, investors are so into reasons why a coin will grow higher in future, they don't hold without any reasons for sure future, use cases have different solutions they bring into crypto world and that's the reason why people hold

I usually base on its applicability at the near future and is it ability to be used widely or not. Next, I will consider about their community and investment funds behind them. Finanally, talented people want to dedicate themselves to build up that network or not

I hold handshke because it is promising project, with bug funds on board like Andreas Horowitz, Pantera, etc. Couple weeks ago I bought it on private sale price and I believe it is good entry point, project doesn't have big listings yet but with such powerfull funds on board big listing will happen this year and it will push price.

so you rely on Telegram messages ?when majority of the people are bounty hunters so how come that they will know about  the Coins their holding when the truth is they have only accumulate those tokens/coins because  of  hunting and nothing more.

Ethereum is the largest percentage in my portfolio. Eth has shown its potential for a long time, it is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies and one of the most popular blockchains. Continuous development and improvement. I think my choice is obvious.

I hodl my coins long-term because I believe in their potentials. But my investment decision is not purely based on hype or influence of others but on proper research. When investing in my coins, I always check the usefulness of the project and the credibility of the team running it. Having good community support is one thing that I also look for in the project.
