When we do talk ATH's then it would really be still on doubt or questionable specially if people do set out a specific date on it. $1000 for ETH this year?

It will vary yet we are currently playing on $400 price and going 150% 4 months time is still plausible or not really too far off.Yes, defi is the new hype

now but wont really be that enough on driving the market to be that high but somehow we cant really make any conclusions since market is always unpredictable.

For everything to make sense the developers needs to successfully roll out the updates they are promising as the transaction charges on ETH are really high and people will find similar alternatives if it continue like this. The DeFi hype is a good opportunity for the market to recover but everything needs to be aligned to see a huge rally.

I do see it for the long term perspective that this coin has great potential to grow and cross 2x and 3x in coming years and give us good returns on our investment. If the progress of ethereum 2.0 will be very smooth and it may possible to be achieved by ethereum in the next year. I guess if 1k rate is too high to be achieved by ethereum this year but imagine when more than 50% of ethereum will be locked in the staked address and market will gets on its inflation.

it will be smooth because this is etherium and eth is a famous coin . never see eth fail and they dont want that to happen because many people will instantly loose thier trust on eth  .

 1k for eth is not huge but it only gives an illusion that its high because we never see eth pump too much not unlike to btc that can easily reach a high price  and he can stick with it for a longer time

 I do believe that ethereum price will definitely go back up once we are done with 2020 and finally get to see the phase 1 of the new update, however people here are a bit more excited about it than I feel about it. I mean yes I do agree that there is a chance eth could go above 500 dollars for the first time in a long time, we literally dropped as further down as 80 dollars at one point from all the way up at 1500 dollars, thats a 1420 dollar fall and I would really not expect that from eth, probably some smaller altcoins but not eth.

 Which all to me means that it can't really be that good, breaking all time high once again in the next 12 months doesn't really sound all that realistic to me honestly, sure it would get better I do not mean that it will go down, but I feel like 500-700 levels are realistic and would probably happen, those are not that far off, however over 1500 is crazy talk, even over 1000 is very very tough.

This is the sign of bull run all projects are doing fantastic job from last few weeks. All DEFI projects are using the ETH platform to build on it that's why all eyes on this project surely it will gain more value as like more investors are getting involve. I also believe one day it will get recover and will new ATH.

Right now while writing, the price of ethereum was $427 on coinmarketcap. We don't know whether this is manipulated fluctuation, or it happened out of the market demand to the supply. The market price of ethereum has reached close to $500, and has fallen back. Now the price of bitcoin too have dropped in value.
