There are different types of investors with varying priorities goals, habits, and tolerance of risk. Read this thread to know the type of crypto investor you are.
1. Newbie: In any industry you must first be a newbie before you become a pro. To get started with crypto you need a little capital to start. This group include those with a little or no knowledge about the crypto industry but eager to seek to diversify their investments into new high risk assets that offer a good return
2. Crypto Enthusiast: Like a newbie, the crypto enthusiast joined the market not long ago and still doesnt have enough knowledge about the crypto industry although he has built a diversified portfolio which he checks their performance everyday.
3. Hodler: They are people who will rather hold any crypto no matter the ups and down they believe one day it will get to their desired price
4. Early Adopter: The early adopter are people who got into bitcoin when it was less than $100 about some few years ago. At that time everyone thought bitcoin was a scam but they took the courage to buy some because they believed in the technology.
5. Professional Trader: These guys have seen crypto trading as a part time or full time job. They dont have concern with holding cryptos for a long time. Their main and only goal is short term profits.
What type of investor are you? Im definitely an HODLER

I am more like low frequency trader who tries to trade only big swings, so basically investor. I would say hodler but i don't just hold to the exit target, i try to accumulate more and occasionally watch 1d candles to trade channels and swings.

After trying to be a expert crypto trader I've end up losing too many money, I don't have interest in trying out my luck with crypto projects anymore, I'm going fully into top 10 coins on coinmarketcap, crypto can change your life and it can also ruin your life, whatever risk you plan to take always use limited money

I am 2, 3, and 4! And I believe that most of us here are these 3, with 5 it's just for the people who really makes profit with trading, and doing that professionally, and there aren't many of them.
2. Crypto Enthusiast: Because I believe in the future of crypto-currencies, and I believe that one day crypto-currencies will rule the world. 3. Hodler: I hold for years already, and I don't intent to quit any time soon. I plan to add more, to accumulate more for the future. 4. Early Adopter: In some way we are all early adopters. Crypto-market in only 10 years old, and only Bitcoin is that old, all other crypto-currencies are younger and this is their early time.

I am both holder and trader but it does with the circumstances. At the beginning of my trading i tried to invest into a coin by seeing the token price but at present time i do investment into a coin with an update from team or seeing the roadmap. I think this is very helpful to gain profit from a coin. At the same time i also hold a token when i can buy a token in low price and that has bright future such like CUR token. It was unbelievable that CUR token will hit 3$ but it does and like me somebody take that chance in low prices buying. Only 2 million token that is the big fact here. So i think hold and trade both are essential for a crypto lover. thanks.

In my opinion, true crypto enthusiast would be very excited about different other things in Crypto space, and not just trading or the monetary aspect. The technologies and their fundamentals should be enough to excite a true enthusiast. So I guess you can just call those you described under "Crypto Enthusiast" as, maybe "Crypto trading Enthusiast". I've always seen my self as crypto enthusiast, but not that "too interested" in trading(maybe due to time).

I'm both hodler and Eary Adopter since I'm very active in bounty campaign I can see the development of a project in it's earlier stages and from then I can have the option to be its early adopter, and I'm also a hodler I prefer it that way because it's too time-consuming to be a trader so I prefer to research on coins that are worth hodling for a long time.

HODLER. My motto is buy cheap and sell high in a couple of years. This strategy has worked very well over the last eight years. The key is to know when to buy and not to being afraid of volatile markets. There are always phases of depression where nobody thinks that crypto has a future. This is the perfect sign to buy as it was in 2014, 2015 and 2019. Now having a good bag of cheap 2019 coins I have a good gain since then. The market can crush down 70% and I am still slightly in profit. Same to my coins from 2014 and 2015 which I partly sold in 2017. I hold the rest which has still a good profit.

I do not agree with you. I am a crypto enthusiast and holder at the same time. If I wasn´t a true enthusiast, I will sell all my cryptocurrencies in times of depression when Bitcoin traded for 3000USD because I would be under pressure that cryptocurrencies do not have a bright future.

I am a hodler too as i am just holding mostly btc and eth and sometimes other promising coins as well, I am not doing active or day trading because it is stressful and also you have to keep checking the charts all the time which is not my type of thing at the moment.

I think I can fit on #3.
Since I hold a lot of coins, (many dead sh!tcoins) I can say I am a hodler since 2016. I still have (Nani) XRB from the initial airdrop.
I don't spend any of my coins since I have a good paid sallary (for my country) and I made from crypto a retirement fund, I take and hold anything I can get from mining, bounties, services etc.

I think numbers 2 and 3 suit me. I really don't have enough knowledge about the crypto industry, but I'm undoubtedly an enthusiast in this area. And that's why I believe in many projects and keep their coins. Hence the third point - I'm a hodler.

I am not 1,2 and 4 and I cannot exactly relate myself to be 3 because I tend to sell my assets whenever I have reached a certain profit target. I can be termed as a casual trader/Hodler I generally accumulate and sell. I never tried to be a professional trader as I do not think it is possible for me to take that kind of a risk.

I don't have too much time to spend on this market, every day I can only focus on it for about 2-3 hours. So it is too difficult to be a professional trader, I choose holder because it is suitable for me. Just buy the best altcoins and wait for the profits to come from them

I am a 2, 3, and 4 type of crypto investor. Although I have been here for quite some time now, I do not think that I have enough knowledge about all sorts here in crypto industry and I choose to play it safe by holding, buy low sell high.
