I believe in a positive outlook for 2021. The corona pandemic in 2020 is horrible with every country around the world hurting, but humans are resilient. With a vaccine for most people likely be available in the next year I think we will see growth picking up again. Many colleagues I spoke with are holding back on crucial investments for month now, but this can't happen indefinitely. I am pretty sure consumption and investments will pick up again in 2021.
I am quite interested to see this poll after 100 votes.

Financially, the pandemic didn't affect me at all. I'm a front liner (not a medical front liner)  the line of business where I'm currently working is logistics/delivery and there's no way we are suspending our operations (even at the worst situation of the pandemic) because we are the biggest distributor of the mainstream essential goods like coffee, cereals and milk in our local region. Though I can work from home, but it's inevitable not to visit the supply chain warehouse, so I still need to go out twice or thrice a week to physically check the stocks and their conditions to document a weekly and monthly reports of inventory and quality control.
So, I'm one of those few lucky people who didn't lose their jobs and main source of income.

In this dire situation, many people are learning a lot of valuable thing. One of these is the importance of essentials than luxury.
In a post apocalyptic scene, water is more expensive than diamonds. And, something to look forward to in 2021 is Diversifying my investment in Bitcoin and some for agriculture.

I don't expect many changes in the stuff related to cryptos in my life, but I am prepared for losing some income due to the pandemic (I've already lost a part of it, but it was not a big one). While I want to earn more in the upcoming year, I realize that I might lose my sources of income. I'm not worried about the minimum I need to survive because I have a backup plan and because I've been through tough times. I think it's best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. As for Bitcoin, I'm also ready for good and bad surprises, but I don't think anything worse that $6k awaits.

Vaccine for COVID-19 will be available on 2021 so I believe it will be a positive year for my finance although I'm not that affected of this pandemic due to the nature of my work. My daily job routine doesn't change at all except for no office appearance at least once a week. There is a lot of ways to become positive amidst this pandemic. Imagine many people in Africa are suffering from poverty even before this Pandemic but still there life goes on as usual. So why not us that has a lot of resources available to sustain our daily necessities. We just need to become creative and adapt to the new normal. Just like BTC price, We can't stay always at the bottom.

My business do not have any movement and I experienced getting bankrupt so I partially closed my businesses as there is still a pandemic going on. It is really hard to deal with this kind of situation, you need to work, you need to have money to sustain your needs and this pandemic really make people's lives struggle.

I think in 2021, it will still somehow stay the same. Vaccine are not instantly proven effective because it might have a side effect within 5 to 10 years from now.

So it is not guaranteed that everything will go back to normal next year 2021.

I am pretty optimistic in this coming 2021 will be the end of the pandemic and we will surely get our normal lives back like we used to and to enjoy the life in the fullest ever before. I also believe that our world economy will recover constantly and rebuild businesses and provide employments to those people who badly affected by the pandemic especially to those who has families to support on daily basis. This pandemic will be a great teacher to us all on how to act swiftly, unite ones nation and recover as one.

I voted neutral because there's a mixture of negative and positive, yes I can still make money and not out of job but seeing some of your relatives and friends out of job and livelihood it made you feed depressed and also seeing how bad the effect of the pandemic to your city, but you have to be strong for your family,  you need to help them get through on this trying times.

OP, those are two different questions you're asking so it's hard to give an answer to this poll.

My economic situation has definitely taken a hit because of the COVID-19 outbreak and all the businesses being shut down.  I don't want to get into specifics, but it feels like my life has taken a baseball bat to the head.

As to the second part of the question, my outlook for next year, I'm hopeful that things will have returned to some semblance of normalcy--and I'm already seeing it happen in my city and state.  Unless the virus mutates into a much more lethal variant, I don't expect 2021 is going to be worse than 2020.  Anything can happen, of course, but I feel like I've either got to remain positive or I'll lose my mind.  This is an election year in the US, too, so I think the result of that election is going to have a huge effect on America's collective state of mind.

Vaccine for COVID-19 will be available on 2021
Let's hope so.

I am optimistic that the outlook for the world economy in 2021 will improve. Countries exposed to Covid 19 will soon have the vaccine so that it will reduce the number of patients. The governments of each country have also prepared their respective social safety nets to secure economic conditions in their countries. In my country the government of my country has prepared a lot of social assistance to the community to maintain the purchasing power of the people and the consumption of people who are exposed to Covid-19 not only for the community but also for the business world, given assistance.

I am financially doomed by the pandemic as i am suffering from heavy financial loss and many are struggling and millions have lost their job in the past four months. The only positive aspect is that the governments around the world is trying their best to support the businesses but it will not be enough in the end and the only solution these government can do is to provide further loans and many small business owners will not be in a capacity to attain those loans.

With the way the market is struggling i am expecting a recession in the coming year which might be worst than the recession we faced in 2008.

It's happening now, but if you know how to manage the risk and you understand the current situation, I think we should not fear the crisis.
We can be smart by shifting into an industry that are in demand to people, particularly it's the basic needs which includes the food, so maybe selling and manufacturing would hit, and I also thought about agriculture and farming.

Actually opportunity was never lost, it's just that the world is changing its trend due to covid but we can always find away to survive.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?
As far as I Know it doesn't affect Bitcoiners since the market is bullish, but if you are a trader and you are profitable, then you should be happy as there's still people who are trading and that makes the market more volatile and liquid.

After taking an initial beating during the March crash (especially on the BTC portion of my capital) I've managed to ride the waves (trading) very well from April onward. Trading normally represents the majority of my income so I've got no complaints there. I've also been holding my signature campaign earnings ever since the crash, so those coins have appreciated in value quite nicely.

I do operate a consultancy firm which has taken a considerable hit, but fortunately I was able to get out of my lease, and there is basically zero overhead otherwise. Overall, I'm doing better financially than before this whole thing started, although this has come at the cost of some financial predictability. I definitely feel the need to stash away more savings now than I used to.

It is a fact, a real fact that so many people lose their jobs during this pandemic, moroever until now, many people still have difficulties to search for a job, moroever a job that relates to many people involvement.
I also see people and business around me, you are right, many small business closed it even for a moment and also forever. It hurts everytime seeing how they work so hard in order to survive during this pandemic. Just one hope that this pandemic will relaly ends and we can restart again our life, economic, and business.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?
Fortunately, before the COVID, I didn't work outside either. I focus on the cryptocurrency world. Where in the past many people around me still looked down on this profession.  Grin Grin
And I don't mind that. because after all, everyone has different thoughts and opinions. And thankfully, I was not directly impacted, I still have enough income from cryptocurrency to be used for daily necessities and savings.
And right now I'm actually opening a small business in the real world. It is too brave, however, we can think positively, take advantage of the moment, and take what is possible. Isn't this how we can help other people who have lost their jobs to find jobs again?
I really hope, not only me but everyone else keep thinking positive and hoping that 2021 will be better. the economy returned to normal and had a good and significant development again.

Being in a covid 19 situation, several economic systems have collapsed. many businesses have gone bankrupt and many have lost their jobs. I was the one who lost the job. In 2019-2020, the impact of Covid19 was very pronounced on my family's finances. moreover, I haven't had bitcoin since 2018. if you still hold bitcoin, of course, your family finances will be better, because the current bitcoin price development is quite good.

I have been affected because the company where I am working stopped.

But after some time it did resume and it went all back to normal, though I am at home working. As a user and an investor, nothing really changed. I have saved money from my salaries, I am earning good numbers from the cryptocurrencies I am holding but I just use some of it to pay some bills, other than that, well it is just there in my wallet.

COVID-19 has destroyed many small business, with the bigger businesses taking their share of the economic pie. I believe many people lost jobs, but some are doing OK.
I think I am one of those who gone out of job with this covid19 situation. Its really hard for me to accept that in shot a long time of working then suddenly it would be gone in an instant. I hate the fact that its happened to me and other people due to this pandemic but what can we do? Its not like out lives would stop as well. Might work on different stuff to survive the daily needs.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?
Its actually big loss but so far I am still thriving my needs and thanks to cryptocurrency, doing some trading I managed to earn decent profit to at least support my needs. Everyone should be optimistic even the tough gets going. On crypto side, I dont think it affected that much the market and thankfully my asset still in good position.

Thinking negative for a while is okat, that's nornal tho. But staying on it up to extent that you no longer make actions to get away of the misery is wrong already. So even how worst the situation is, learn to keep positive as it brings hope and attracts good vibes to you Smiley.

My bitcoin savings became my main financial source since I don't yet have a job until now. Imagine this, without bitcoin I can say that I even wasn't able to post here. That's how poor I am without it Grin. That's why I'm very blessed to have it.

When it comes to my outlook for 2021, I hope every single nation will completely beat the corona virus by that time. That's it! No personal wishes, price skyrockets or whatsoever. Going back to normal is all I want.

Same here, what I'm getting in crypto right now is a big help to augment my basic needs. But I am still positive with things. This scenario is not forever and I do hope by next year it will be better to most of us. I just consider it as one challenges in life that we need to surpass in order to come out more stronger person. So let's just think of ways on how to earn more income these days and not complain for what the government is offering to us.

We need to be positive because so far there is hope our scientists are in a hurry to make the vaccine and there are more recoveries than death or critical situation, it's hope that can sustain us now.
