COVID-19 has destroyed many small business, with the bigger businesses taking their share of the economic pie. I believe many people lost jobs, but some are doing OK.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?

I still believe that the economy will recover pretty much, so I’m just hoping for the better. I don’t think this is something that we should be killing ourselves over, it would be best for we all if we are positive enough and keep working hard towards making our countries better. This is a time to look out for others and not just yourself, especially those that have lost something due to the pandemic.

At the start it was difficult for so many people, a lot of companies had to stop working and it affected many who lost their jobs. A lot of people were complaining that they can’t afford to buy food for their family and all that. It wasn’t easy.

The pandemic really hits my life financially but there’s no other choice but to face it and survive it. This crisis also made me reflect on different things in life and learned a lot from it because there’s a lighter side of it that helps me to become a better person.

I’m looking forward for a positive rebound next year, my goal really is to become financially stable that’s why I’m really focused on improving myself to overcome future crisis.

I belong to a middle class society in our country. And when this Covid-19 started to strike here, I've been so down financially. As a bread winner in a huge family, it seems like  a chaos to me and really dont know how to feed my family and make survival. However, I was so thankful to be able to learned about Bitcoin and began to focus in this blockchain industry. Just then I realize that I am not so down at all, because I have something great and resourceful platform that will provide me financially and will be able to help my family and the others too.
I maybe new in this Bitcoin and blockchain world, but I already saw the proof that it can really give us more profits and have financial freedom. The great features and benefits in this Bitcoin Industry is beyond compare and surely it will make my life more fruitful on the year 2021 and morè so in the coming years, as i am continously learning, believing, trusting and working hard in this platform with patience.
I also have faith that the world's economy will arise next year.

What is certain is neither too positive nor too negative, even though many companies have closed due to the pandemic but because I have built my own business such as selling, in real life and even selling online. By owning this business, at least it is enough for me to be able to support myself and my family every day, especially for food and other bills. I personally don't have too many plans for the future, because with us only focusing on the opportunities that exist, at least it's good enough for us to survive at a cost that is sufficient for ourselves and also for families who live in one house.

But what's the outlook for you? Is it negative, or positive? Do you see your shop expanding with more customers, or contracting?

You said many companies around you closed. In my opinion, from their standpoint, the market has contracted, and they can't compete.

Due to this pandemic, I have to used all of the money I saved last year. I almost got bankrupt due to lot of expenses with a small salary from our company. Yes I know I am lucky coz I did not become jobless but the salary I am receiving is not enough for the foods, vitamins, and bills in a month. I find alternative ways during pandemic. One of this is networking but I gues it is not for me. So here I am trying to earn cryptos again. Hoping I can save money again as well as cryptos that I can hold until its price increases. In terms of financial and holding money, covid 19 taught me well. For the incoming year(s), I want to apply all of it so I am looking positive. The situation will be the one to force you to think ways to earn just to survive, right? It is very difficult to live without money during these days. When we surpass this situation and everything is going back to normal, believe me it would be easier for us to earn.

I really sympathize with you, because I understand you perfectly. I myself was in a similar situation several years ago. However, in today's conditions I'm more fortunate, I have a job that allows me to support myself and my family.
My prognosis for next year is positive, as pharmacists have gained some experience, and people have immunity. I think next summer we will return to the old familiar life.

I think everyone is affected by this pandemic and even though the price of bitcoin dropped the past month, I am not affected by it since I kept on holding. I think I am expecting both sides for the future year, as an investor you should also consider bad movements so you make something reducing that risks to come.

We can't deny the fact that both huge and small businesses are experiencing its downfall during this pandemic. However, I still believe that being positive will also attract positivity in the coming year. I'm also experiencing a downfall in terms of finances. I've even lost my job because of the pandemic yet I still have hopes for the future. We still need to persevere and find ways to survive during this situation.

I'm not sure but it looks like it would be fine if I want to try and do something, and also because the conditions in other fields are down, making the crypto market go up again because some of the new funds coming here are quite large or is it just the hype being used at this time.

COVID-19 forced my small business to close for a while, for several months I had to live from my savings. Fortunately, now the quarantine
and lockdown have been lifted by the government, so my small business can run again. So I'm starting to be optimistic that my economic
outlook for 2021 has become positive, but even though my economy has started to recover. The income I earn is still much lower than the
income before COVID-19 happened.

Business owners are complaining of this all over the world, even if right now they are allowed to open their businesses they are not receiving the profits that they received back in the day, but this is because people are taking care of their money and they are trying to not spend it because they are either afraid of an economic crisis that gets even worse or they are afraid that they're going to lose their job, and as such they cannot spend their money with the same freedom as they did before, and this without a doubt about problem for business owners because it is going to be quite challenging to remain in business when your sales drop so drastically.

Yup, they all have the same problem. But at least it is much better than not having an income at all. They can slowly come back and slowly get better soon. It depends really on what business you have. Restaurants are needed right now, focusing on deliveries but a few percentage can dine in with all the safety precautions.

Well, you still evaluate if your business isn't really working out. There are a lot of business that are not into food and essentials that is really needed to close down. Specially if their operating cost is greater than their income.

I think the same but at the same time there are some industries in which the demand has changed so drastically that even if they are open for business not much is going to change, an example of this is the air transportation industry, many countries still have bans or restricted travel between countries and this means obviously less air travel and if the cure of the virus is not found until the next year as it is believed then this drop in the demand is going to continue for quite some time, and with a business that is so intensive when it comes to their capital I doubt many of those companies will survive.

My outlook for 2021 is still not defined. Before the pandemic I had many plans but everything changed. For now I do things for survival. I'm taking a lot expenses to help some relatives in need.
I agree that when humanity has a vaccine against Covid19 we will have a clearer and more positive future. Let's keep our positive energies and protective measures to reduce contagion and so we can all move forward together.

I'm thankful but I'm not selfish , Im wishing that this covid be will gone as soon as possible .

I feel like if this corona virus doesn't end any time soon and keeps getting bigger (it happens in some nations, dying out in others) I feel like we are going to get another break out soon and that will not end well for economy. It already happened once and the nations decided that having a less valuable currency and high inflation would be result instead of having everyone super poor and not even be able to afford food, so I understand the logic and it kind of worked, well at least for short term.

However if it happens again in the coming months they can't continue to print money, and even if they do that would be unbelievably bad for our future as well, so I do not know about my economic future, unfortunately the situation doesn't look good for now at all.

We're seeing an uptick because the lockdowns have eased.  As governments try to move closer to normal you will continue to see the spread of the virus.  The virus is basically linked to economic activity at this point.  The movement and interaction of people through the economy spreads the virus.  This is why when strict lockdowns were in place, you had falling infection rates.  Such strict lockdowns choked off the ability of the virus to spread, but also economic activity.

There is a bit difference between now and before covid19. The unemployment rate has been high in my country for a while now, even before the pandemic. So it is fair to say, there has been a bit different in a standard of living to be specific. As it has been extensively discussed that potent vaccine will be available by the end of the year, while we have already read the news of some countries already patenting vaccine for the virus, my 2021 outlook is to see the economy recovering again, decrease in unemployment and more money getting thrown to the economy.

Having Bitcoin as savings helped, but that's not what the poll is about. What's your economic outlook for 2021, and how will that affect your life professionally, and financially? I believe that we haven't felt the full impact of the global economic contraction yet.

The forecast is that we have already returned to the indicators of the beginning of the year after all this little shaking. 2021 will be the "first year after the crisis" when not only everything will return to normal but also there will be so rapid growth. There are also a lot of new players in the small and medium-sized business sector. Perhaps even the crisis affected the fact to shake up the tech giants on new technologies that they kept up their sleeve (Hello Nvidia) etc.
It will not just be a good year - it will be a rich year.

The same is happening where I live which is why I'm very grateful that so far I have not been very affected by the pandemic in economic terms, however the pandemic is going to affect the world in many other ways, for example all of the social isolation that many people are still practicing is probably going to affect their mental health and over the long term this is going to have very grave consequences as people adopt these kind of patterns of the new normality and they stop interacting with people as they used to.

I had been living a gambler's life before, but after losing everything in it, I lost my passion for life. But this pandemic taught me that life never stops at one point and so shouldn't we. Covid-19 made a gradual change in the world of economics, and I do not see anything getting back to normal so quick due to so much FUD in the minds of people. I still see it as an opportunity and thinking of opening a food truck, and I think this could help me get back the money to buy a new house before I die.

Once we have vaccine in place things will start to get better for sure. In mean time it will be difficult times only and we will need to ensure that we can survive in this time and do not fall in stress. Keep on believing in our ability and if possible, to get new skills or develop passion for anything new which will help you personal and in career wise.
