I wish best for Manchester United in a new season but I hope that they won't take this close defeat too seriously and feel too much confident about their ability. Like they are very near to quality level of Manchester City and will be able to fight for Premier League title in a coming season. If they feel confidently like this, they will not go to anywhere far in a new season.

There are many weaknesses in their squad and they must seriously look at this fact, to be ready for fixing and improving it. If they view themselves like this, they will become a stronger team in coming months.

This is a first Community Shield title for Manchester City after three years, so congratulations!

I was very impressed with Manchester United performance yesterday because I couldn't believe they would play that good after all there lapses on the pre season matches, actually seeing there performance yesterday made me to realize what people were saying about there friendly matches that they shouldn't be judged because is not a serious match for them so now I have seen that they intentionally decided not to take those matches serious, actually if they should continue with this performance they had on this community shield on there premier League matches it will certainly be a good season for them, I was shocking to see how Manchester United dominated Manchester City at the beginning of the match and also hold them goalless on the first half, though if not for Silva Manchester United would have won the match.

Whenever it comes to Manchester City, Manchester utd is usually very strong and that I cannot explain why. It will surprise people to know that United have won City more in all their meetings, they have met 193 times and United won 79 while City won 61. Despite that United are not doing so well in recent times even from last season, they are always active and ready to fight hard when they meet City. Maybe they want to maintain their records which they guide so well. My prediction in the CS was that City will would win but narrowly and I never expected it will be so tight to enter penalty shoot out.

Manchester City performed relatively poorly in this match as they found many weak points. Liverpool vs Sevilla today's match is over now and the result of this match is 4-1. Liverpool's strong attack today was really impressive, their performance was outstanding. Guardiola thus showed that he does not take this match too seriously, although the City squad was also strong. Expecting Manchester city to have done any better is funny actually because like we know that game wasn't enough for Manchester city to risk so much hence they will just play to see if they're going to get a chance but I believe Manchester city would have done much better if they had wanted to win that trophy, more like they were supposed give let the game for Manchester United, Manchester United will probably get another chance at other trophies.

The arrival of Calafiori and making David Raya permanent for the new season is certainly a good thing for Arsenal to do right now because at least with Calafiori, it can make our expectations greater for Arsenal's current defense.

In my opinion, Calafiori is not just a "nice-to-have" but a crucial signing.

I’ve seen them drop enough points due to Zinchenko’s defensive errors to cost them the league. Last season, they lost 2 points against Fulham at the Emirates stadium and 2 points against Liverpool at Anfield. Two seasons ago, similar errors cost them points against Liverpool and Manchester City.
They missed out on the league title by 2 points last season and by 5 points the season before. These are the fine margins that matter. They can’t afford to struggle to score goals only for Zinchenko’s mistakes to undo their efforts.

Bringing in Calafiori removes Zinchenko and his errors from the equation, taking them a significant step closer to winning the league title.
Arteta learnt from last season and has found solution to the defensive blunders that has affected them. I hope something changes for them this time around.

There is nothing funny about expecting Manchester City to win because after all, this is not just a friendly match but a final match with a trophy up for grabs. After all, if Manchester City are not serious in this match, but why does Pep Guardiola look tense? Statistically both of them played well, but I saw Pep Guardiola trying to implement a game strategy that was not so persistent. Man United had far more opportunities than Man City but the final solution was still not able to be maximized properly. The Community Shield trophy was a good start for Man City even though the match was quite fierce and had to be decided by a penalty shootout.

Seeing Man United's performance, I am a little sure that this season they will be much better because I see they are much better prepared. Man United can get another chance to win a trophy, but they have to work hard because the competition will be much more competitive and very tight this season.
