If you say what Arsenal played tonight was amazing then you should be ready to see them being knocked out of the champions league. It was a terrible display and the dullness was what made the game look less interesting. If Sporting CP was very active to pressure and make good use of any little opportunity I believe by now we would be saying how poor the Gunners were. I think Manchester City and Southampton did something to Arteta and his boys for them to be this slow in doing their thing,

Arsenal has ways being this way with their performance in the past season,  by displaying a pretty good run at the start only to mess up towards the end of the season and losing every competition.

They lost the EFL Cup to Man City with a 2-0 deficit and a quite disappointing performance for a final. During the past games, we can all notice that Arsenal has a challenge with scoring goals but put up a pretty good defense which keeps them on a long clean sheet run.

Many Premier league teams now see through Arsenal's play after Pep Guardiola's masterclass coaching display in the final. Arsenal has being a shadow of themselves ever since the loss with an even embarrassing defeat in the FA Cup quarterfinals against Southampton (a championship team) and now they still struggle with a win against Sporting. In this form, Arsenal could lose the Premier title race and end up trophyless like every other season.

No, I think I have to disagree with you on that because the Arsenal of last 4 seasons is different from the Arsenal of this very campaign, they are very much good and even better than the past seasons. By this time in those previous seasons you talked about they have already started showing their weakness starting from January but this Arsenal still have the best run so far, check the EPL table, they're still on top, in the champions league they are  unbeaten and still in the competition competing for the title and also one of the favorite, with all these it shows they are better than the previous season and the season before.
The Carabao Cup they lost made it look as if they have lost something big not to talk of the way they were eliminated in the FA Cup by Southampton, this made me believe that the players are some how weak like they haven't gotten used to the fact that they have been eliminated from the FA CUP and that have lost the Carabao Cup to City, is still like a dream to them, that's what I think is happening that they could not do their thing against Sporting CP last night.
Now you said something that relate to how I feel about Arsenal but hold it right there, in as much as Arsenal are going through a heart break for losing the Carabao Cup title and being flushed out of the FA Cup...it doesn't mean that they are going to lose the EPL title, they can't and I'm saying this with my full chest, even if they want to bottle this EPL title it can't happen at all. I have never believed or trusted Arsenal the way I am this season and that's because they have prove to many that this is their time to do something great. Well, I believe that their confidence will some how crawl back in in their next game and the second leg of this champions league against Sporting CP, it won't be as easy as the first leg for the Sporting CP players.

Yes,, what's happening to Arsenal right now is truly embarrassing, and that can't be denied. However,, I'm absolutely certain that they will fight with all their might for the Premier League trophy, as they are currently on the right track and just need to maintain their excellent performance throughout the season. If Arsenal doesn't fight seriously for the Premier League title, it will be truly embarrassing if they fail again this season. They are a great team that has always struggled to win trophies,, and Arsenal clearly can't allow that to continue. After all,, this is their time to compete well again in the Premier League. Arsenal managed to win the match against Sporting Lisbon tonight and they could only score 1-0 against Sporting, this score although very encouraging for Arsenal but the aggregate is still very lacking to be able to remain confident of winning in the second leg, we must remember how Bodo / Glimt could get a second leg defeat from Sporting even after being 3-0 up at half time, this must be a lesson for Arteta to stay alert in the second half even though they are very confident about themselves, the second leg is a determination that must be well secured.

For me I wasn't expecting anything other than a win from the Gunners, they are much more better than than Sporting CP, even though it's not the kind of score line I was expecting but they still managed to get the win, at a point in time I had already given up hope and concluded it was going to end goalless because of how dull the game was. They will want to finish it up at home next week when they meet at the Emirates, earlier before now, I knew Arsenal was going to see past this stage, it's grim next stage things will get hard for them, for now Sporting CP is not in their level, Arsenal will still beat Sporting next leg.

Based on my observations Arsenal only need 5 more wins + 1 draw or the worst case scenario Arsenal could only lose once in the remaining 7 matches. Previously I was supporting Liverpool to win but now I have switched to Arsenal.

Arsenal are making it really difficult for everyone this season, they are an excellent team and what i at least hope is that they win the championship easily, this is the right path if they want to win something, they will definitely do it, they just have to manage what happens to them well, the champions championship is certainly the most difficult part.

I also think so, so the defeat in the FA competition should not be considered too excessive, especially since Arsenal just won in the first leg of the Champions League against Sporting, which proves that Arsenal's performance is still fine without any problems, so the loss in the FA match cannot be used as any reference. To be honest I thought the match would be a draw. Because the sporting team is very strong at home. They won 5-0 at home against Bodo/glimt. They were able to win against psg. Even against arsenal yesterday, sporting players were able to perform well. Arsenal could not score any goal in 90 minutes. They managed to score the only goal of the match after  90 minutes in injury time. If Sporting could have kept their defense strong in the last 5 minutes , the match would have ended goalless. This is the  misfortune of Sporting.

I also thought as much that Sporting will not be a problem for Arsenal, but to be honest Arsenal faces a lots of challenges in the games against Sporting cp is to today I know that sporting cp are also in their best form; since they where able to hold the all Arsenal that are leading top of premier league and champions league table they where very luck is not the could've end up in a draw.

We'll see, in the meantime, even if Arsenal beat Sporting Lisbon with difficulty.

it was a narrow escape, and we all thought Arsenal was going to have an easy win, but behold, winning became difficult for Arsenal because throughout the first half, Arsenal could not win. It was the ending moments of the game when Arsenal was able to win, and at some point Arsenal has not escaped because the second leg is still there, and we are expecting them not to just allow themselves to get an easy win during the second leg but to do everything in their power to win.

And aside from the defense, they still need to also work on the midfield, and the performance of Arsenal is dropping, and the clubs they are paired with are clubs that Arsenal would have easily defeated, but no, they were doing something else. I don't know the kind of training that Arteta is given, but by now it should have been different and much better. I agree with you that Arsenal are making life difficult for everyone this season, but what you said about winning the Champions League easily is something that have doubt for, because even though they are to win, I don't think it will be easy because there are a lot of challenges ahead which they need to face bayern Munich and barcelona is still there which is very close, PSG also and all this teams are in their best performance and they cannot allow themselves to be humiliated by Arsenal after they have come too far, but if Arsenal is destined to win nothing can stop it.

Should I even conclude that arsenal let go of other competitions just to concentrate on this two because to me they are very close in this particular ones and these are the two valuable trophies which they need seriously to rebrand  their name after all this year of disappointing their fans.

determination is something that is important and that Arsenal have always had in this championship, no one has come close to all the work they have done, they have been able to manage the pressure that everyone has put on them despite last year things not going very well and they absolutely want to avoid doing like last championship.

To be honest Arsenal needs to put in more effort in this premier league title if not it will definitely pass them like the FA cup and Carabao Cup. Arsenal are going to be a really tough team to stop this year. Manchester City are certainly trying to stop them, but Arsenal aren't as inconsistent as they were in previous years. As the final matches approach, Arsenal seem determined to make the most of what they have. They're focusing on maintaining consistency and securing crucial victories to secure the championship. They're constantly fighting to achieve their goals in both the Premier League and the Champions League. Their away win against Sporting Lisbon yesterday kept their Champions League hopes alive. I think it disrespectful to talk about Arsenal and Bodo Glmit in thr same conversation. Arsenal is a more team than Bodo Glmit and you don't start to think that because Sporting could do a come back against Bodo,  then tou expect them to do the same thing against Arsenal. Bodo Glmit never expect to get to the second round, so they could not handle the pressure,  but with Arsenal its a different ball game and the pressure should be on Sporting.
Talking about yesterday's game, I think it's a balanced game, but Arsenal end up winning the game and that a sign that they are a better team. I expect Arsenal to get to the semifinals and even to the final,  because I still view them as one of the favorite to win the Champions League this season.

You're right,, my friend. Even though Arsenal defeated Lisbon in this match,, overall, Arsenal was clearly cornered. Therefore, if Arsenal plays like this again in the second leg, I also feel that Arsenal has a chance of losing. Because in this match, Arsenal also had difficulty dealing with the attacks launched by Lisbon players. Therefore,, Arsenal needs to be more careful in the second leg.
