Chelsea has now three opportunities to play against teams that are not in top shape in the Premier League. Perhaps this win against Dortmund now gives them a push and they can improve. If they started a winning streak now of three consecutive games, they would afterwards host the game against Liverpool and that could be their final chance to keep a realistic probability for the qualification for the international ranks in the table. I doubt that they can still make it 1-4, but if they win a lot of games the Europa League could still be achievable.

Based on what Chelsea displayed in their home to defeated Dortmund 2 -0 showed that there is a hope for them to win their next match to encourage their fans that they can still make it in this season. I don't think, what Manchester united experienced from Liverpool few days ago will happen to Chelsea, because they will never allow Liverpool to score more than two goals before the end of the match. If Chelsea can do what they did in Europa league competition to defeated their opponent, and apply the same strategies in the premier league competition, I think it will help them to recover from their losses.

That is a big gap and we have to consider that above Chelsea, there are at least three strong clubs: Newcastle United, Liverpool and Tottenham. If all three clubs let Chelsea claim the fourth position, it would be something really shocked with me.

It is also unprofessional if you fall apart like that no matter whether the opponent is called Liverpool or not. Conceding six goals in one half is even worse than conceding three goals in each half. Imagine how many things have to go wrong and how bad the players' attitude and motivation has to be in order for the opponent to be able to score six goals. That is a no go in my opinion.

I do not think it is worse because it is easier to get overrun in a small time but they played good in the 1st half and they looked better then Liverpool. Manchester United nearly scored a couple of times in the first half and it is only because Liverpool scored before half time that they had confidence and Manchester United never recovered from the goal before the half time. The result was many days ago now and I think it is time we talk about the next fixture and how Manchester United will react I think we will see a reaction and they will show that they have good mentality to win the next game.

Ok that is a good point but still, getting overrun is what you would say even when you concede three goals in 20 minutes. I would say that already counts like getting overrun. But when you are Manchester United and you concede one goal every 7.5 minutes for an entire half, oh oh...

But it's true and it has happened to other clubs as well. Even though it is not the domestic league, but it is a prime example of what you are saying in terms of getting overrun is the game between Barcelona and Bayern. I could never trust my eyes when it was 2-8 Barcelona vs. Bayern. Events like that can happen and there are two sides of the medal. While Manchester United is suffering from it on that day, Liverpool gained back its confidence and is perhaps going to make the impossible possible.

The tough matches they will play will actually determine the fate of the league.  The win they will get in the match they will play against Manchester City will mean that they will get an important result that can guarantee them to complete the league as champions.  In my opinion, the main team that deserves to be champion this year is Arsenal.  They play more consistently and regularly than Manchester City.  They succeed as a team.

Chelsea winning of Dortmund in the champions league is a vindication for Graham Potter and also a source of confidence for Chelsea players.
This is to say that every other match that will be approached by Chelsea would be followed up with a lot of confidence and energy. Assuming Chelsea crashed out of the Champions League the moral of Graham Potter would have been zero and the media criticism wouldn't allow him to do his job anymore. I feel he would have resigned even without being sacked by the Chelsea management.

Against Leicester City should be an opportunity for Chelsea to improve its performance this season in the Premier League. After all, Chelsea's players must show interest so they don't continue to be stuck in 10th place. Sedentary and always looking bad, Potter needs to emphasize this to his squad. Reflecting on their victory in the UCL should be able to motivate the players to continue showing solid performances. While playing a mid tier team, top teams tend underestimate the team and the weak teams approach the game with a mind of undoing the top teams while, when they play against the top teams, it becomes a challenge and some means to test there form. Its just something normal.

Good enough for Chelsea, they've managed to record two wins, one in the EPL and the other in the UCl. They might manage to pick up the pace from there. The goal for Chelsea now is no longer about contesting for the league trophy but, to regain there spot in the league as an elite team and that means, they've got to fight for the top 5 at least, to make it into the Europa because, a UCL qualification is very unlikely.

Against Leicester City should be an opportunity for Chelsea to improve its performance this season in the Premier League. After all, Chelsea's players must show interest so they don't continue to be stuck in 10th place.

Their players don't want to be sold in the summer transfer and they don't want to play in Europa League or Conference League next season. But between what they want and reality is big difference. Leicester City are no longer strong as they were two or three previous seasons but Chelsea also are no longer a club that can easily beat Leicester City.
