I agree with you. It was very unfortunate that Liverpool missed the chance to lead the table because they only got a draw against Brighton yesterday. I know that Brighton was playing at home but it should be not a big reason for Liverpool to lose 3 points. Liverpool has a much better squad, and at that time they have no problem with player composition, they have Salah-Firmino-Jota in the attacking line. Despite the drawn, Liverpool still managed to sit second top of points table in  EPL. That's Liverpool good trio, and that's the reason I love to watch. Somehow they were failed to produce any satisfactory attack thus disappointing 1-1 draw with Brighton. Liverpool were seriously restricted in the shots against Brighton.

I really hope we won't be seeing situations like these, because even now this season is borderline legitimate.

I think we won't get a clear picture of who's in the title race before the spring - because even a 10-point gap at the top doesn't represent the same advantage as before.
There is a better solution to solve this problem on the players which is the good medical practices and anti-covid 19 protocols to be taken by the international federation level, the last international break causes many players to be victim of covid19 which definitely affected the good performance of a club.

Many players have been affected in covid 19. When a player is out of the field for a long time, it takes a long time to get back to his form.  That is why many clubs are suffering. Many of the club's players are formless. And the club is not doing as well as expected
we have entered the 1/4 season and a lot of results do not match expectations.  The club cannot control its players' lifestyle outside and can only remind them to stay fit during this "PANDEMIC" period.  the decline performance of some of the big Clubs in the current Premier League is not entirely the fault of the team's management but also the fault of the players who cannot control their psychology at this time..

This also cannot be faulted because some players when they are outside must have habits that cannot be avoided, so Covid-19 will quickly attack anyone who approaches it, the important thing is discipline, everything will be fine, indeed there are many clubs that have I was nervous because some of the players who were relied on could not play and the balance began to shake. I think implementing and obeying must be important if needed so that management can go out of control.
Like Mancity which is very bad right now, is there any of the cases mentioned above that are not directed?

UEFA and FIFA would do everything in their power to make sure Britain leaving the EU does not affect clubs' participation in the European football competition because of the financial impacts of these clubs. Imaging EPL the most watch league not participating in the competition it would render it useless.

Yes, they managed to claim the second slot but if that's what the team manager wants from his players he won't have used his best attacking line up for a team like Brighton and despite their one point mark, I think the team should be ashamed of their perform cause they make me lose my bet on them.

I think buying new players could be seen as differently depending on the type of player you buy. If you buy someone who is 80+ millions euro and could be starter without a doubt and can change your team insanely a lot, that would definitely be something to see as a move to become champions, especially if a team like Liverpool or City does this, that would definitely mean that they are doing that move to get a championship chance a bit higher (which is already high enough for them).

However if a team buys a player for under 10 million euro, or many free transfers, they are usually (usually is in emphasis here) do not do it for championship chance, it is probably about increasing the depth, football is a game where injury and booking happens very frequently and that is why having extra players is a great idea.

When we look at the standings, we see that there are many teams that can be the champion this year. Liverpool are a little away from their performance in the last season but they are very good in this season too. Tottenham have increased their performance comparing to the last season and they look like they are better with Mourinho. Chelsea have signed skilled players(like Werner) and I really like their performance in the league and CL. Besides, the points of the teams are so close to each other now. So, it is hard to make guesses about the championship.

Right now we have four teams for title because these all are very hot and doing very good day by day Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham my feeling is we will have these teams for champions league spots and Manchester United, Leciester and Arsenal for europa cup spots because now gape is widening for chapionship race and its hard for teams like Manchester United and Arsenal to fight for this they have to improve their quality for this in next season.

CL/EL is not a competition only for EU countries, it is for all countries that are geographically in Europe - even for some that are mostly in Asia like Turkey.

UEFA champions league is older than European Union itself. And as cryptofrka stated, UEFA is not just EU countries or to some extent not only Europe. There are no tie up of UEFA with EU or any political groups.
UEFA has it's own rules and principles, it aims to be a competition between European clubs (and Euro for nations) but it has also included geographically Asian countries and excluded some European.

Thank you for the explanation, I just think this will affect the participation of the EPL teams at UCL/UEL, if brexit makes them unable to participate in the two European competitions then the EPL teams only compete in domestic, which is UCL/UEL will lose 3 teams which makes the league even more interesting. Luckily what I thought was wrong.

Let me enlighten you on football transfer and fees because a player cost $90m does not mean he is a bigger talent than the ones who cost lesser e.g Maguire cost £80m while Liverpool bought Vigil £70m we all know who the bigger talent is, kepa the costliest keeper was bought £71m while Alisson cost liverpool £67m, Courtios £35, Ederson £34m Degea £18m, Neuer £19m, Luno £19 we all know who the best is. players values are based on some selected factors such as; Age, Nationality(English are expensive), contract(released clause), etc. Not just talent alone.

We saw bigger players who went on free transfer; Sanchez, silva, Luiz, Willian, Buffon, Cavani, Facao and many more...

Does anyone know what will happen to the EPL teams that qualify for UEL and UCL next season after England officially left the EU? If I'm not mistaken, Britain will officially leave the EU at the end of December 2020 or early 2021. Will they be excluded from the list of participants in the European league?

And here a realease from FA about possibility of transfer proccess The FA, the Premier League and EFL have come together to agree a plan for entry requirements for overseas players post Brexit.

Regarding participation, nothing will change. A lot of clubs from non-EU countries participate in it, for example teams from Switzerland, Norway, Ukraine and Russia.
CL/EL is not a competition only for EU countries, it is for all countries that are geographically in Europe - even for some that are mostly in Asia like Turkey.
Lol there are teams from Russia, that is as Asian as you can get when you look at the continents, even though Russia seems "Europe" in many football related stuff, if you look at it geographically we would have to remove sooo many teams out of champions league, and this is just about where the nation is located and not even about being in the European union as a whole.

So when you put that on top of the location, we are talking about at least 7 nations that I can remember who are out of EU but definitely plays in European competitions. However I do believe it could have an impact financially, like maybe money made from Europe going back into England type of stuff, or tax stuff, basically stuff fans should not have to care about but accountants of teams will have to work overtime.

Grin Angry I guess everyone suggesting Liverpool will win the league again are quiet now.  The season is no more young as more than 6 matches has been played and we can see how much each team is progressing.  I knew right from the start that it's gonna be Chelsea or  spurs. Yes spurs. Don't underestimate them. They have the special one as manager.

The Special One hasn’t been very special for a few years now if we’re honest. Chelsea look OK but imo, Man City & Liverpool are the best two teams & they will be 1st & 2nd by the end of the season. Everton were top after 4 games & now look at them. The season is a long race!

Indeed it is a long race but the 2nd spot is not 100% for City this season although I predict they will be n1... I think they will manage to pick one of the first fourth spots, that's all for them this season. The other 2 spots in top 4 will be picked by Leicester or Chelsea or maybe spurs?/ManU?

I am also feeling in same way we have nothing 100% but one thing is sure right now we have four best teams like Liverpool, Manchester City. Chelsea and Tottenham these can fight hard for top spots as Manchester United and Leciester both are outsiders but these are top ranked six teams for this season as Everton already choking badly and Arsenal is also very unpredictable.

We will see both tottenham and chelsea toughness in the next 6 to 7 matches.
They had a nightmare with fixtures like below :

Started next week for tottenham
Vs arsenal
Vs crystal palace
Vs liverpool
Vs leicester city
Vs wolves
Vs fulham
Vs leeds

Assuming mourinho could acquired 12 points out of these 7 matches with 3 win , 3 draw and 1 lost, he is capable doing th

Vs aston villa
Vs manchester city

Damn they must get around 6 points to 8 points out of those 7 matches.
With 5 draw 1 lost and 1 win i guess that is the best result they can achieve.
