You are absolutely right and if I am correct Liverpool have failed to win in 5 consecutive leagues now,  their lost to Burnley yesterday end their unbeaten record in the premier league at Anfield stadium and according to what I read, Liverpool have not experience a league defeat at Anfield since 2017 but Klopp said it all his fault.

It could have been his fault or not, but the fact is teams will always have a good and bad day in office, No record stays on forever 
On Klopps decision to start some players on bench, I think it affected the general outcome of the game, but sometimes players have to be rested especially when the Champion's League is around the corner.

Is not the champions league these guys were playing games after 4 days interval, this is January a very busy week you have to rotate to keep the team in good shape and that's everywhere even the smaller clubs in England are  doing it to survive

@JeromeTash, you are right for not every day is Christmas but I believe him (Klopp) starting with bench player the reason why he takes the blame.
@igehhh, I agree with you but this kind of rotation will not work for every football club (imitation is a limitation) cause the Coach needs to consider the capacity of all his boys before making such a decision.

So far, Newcastle has the worst record, considering the last 5 games, with only 1 point! It is worst that Sheffield even. Their defeat against Aston Villa shouldn't be a surprise tho

Liverpool is on a normal decline, I expected it to happen this season and after Virgil Van Dyk  injury it was obvious that they will have some problems, but really this is something deeper as whole team looks very underwhelming. Klopp will need to do some bigger changes to change the course.

You are absolutely right with a busy match schedule. Liverpool players look very tired, and finally in the last 5 Premier League games without a win.
This is very bad performance, if like this it is likely that Liverpool will fail to win the Premier League this season. Liverpool's defeat against Burnley,
this is very worrying. In my opinion the Liverpool reserve players are of very bad quality, so when the main players can't play what happens Liverpool
has difficulty scoring goals. Liverpool have to buy some players who have the same quality as the main players.

I'm with you on that one, because since a long time ago (Owen and Gerrard era) Liverpool's playing style tends to prioritize teamwork, although there are star players but he still needs support from his entire team. But it cannot be denied when one or more of the first team players are injured, then this will affect the team's performance, both mentally and their teamwork. So it makes sense that Liverpool's bad game is also affected by injury problems.

Cheltenham of League Two can be really proud of their efforts against Man City tonight. There were 15 minutes away from beating a team worth so much more money with players of much higher standing in the game. I really hope their players are not too sad, they deserve full respect for their performance.

I saw that game, and what a scare it was for City. Cheltenham's captain Ben Tozer put in an unbelievable performance yesterday against pep's men, and he and his team really deserves quite a lot of credit, ultimately the game came down to quality in the final few minutes and we all know the team who has got more of that, Guardiola and his boys match on to the fifth round, still keeping up the unprecedented hopes of a quadruple as they are still alive in all four competitions.

Yes, should actually have waited longer with pep, a good coach keeps the team strong and regularly in form, and even when the team its not, that won't be Happening regularly, I think arsenal it not a team yet under Arteta. But on the other hand Southampton coach has been great I don't think he would be in the club for long, he has been a solid coach for the saints and reminds me of Martinez when he was at Everton.

Liverpool get troubles to score goals but their defense system are not too and in past 5 matches. If they can score goals again, their results will be improved and I believe they will come back. Moreover, so far Liverpool has been doing better than what many of us thought after the serious injury of Van Dijk. Their defense system was not collapsed because of Van Dijk's injury and they are still at the top position.

Manchester City has very good results in past 5 matches. I guess they will win but honestly in such a big match, everything can happen and all predictions are simply predictions before match ending.

I doubt he can do something. Southampton is a good team but it had a draw vs Arsenal a month ago.. The difference between them is 2 points (-1 game) which isn't that big. What I want to say is losing to someone above you shouldn't be an excuse especially that you played vs them and you know them very well. Being eliminated from your Cup is ridiculous but we all know how things are going on Arsenal this season.

I agree with the fact that Liverpool started to play worse and dropped in the standings, while Man U on the contrary was able to become the leader... However, Man U has not shown great soccer in recent games either, especially against Man City... As I said Man U often has problems in games against top clubs!
Anyway, we'll see for ourselves soon!

Arsenal are a bigger club than Southampton but the latter are in a better moment right now. Arteta will get Arsenal back competing though, I’m sure of it.

It would be nice if Manutd exit the Fa cup and focus more on the EPL title at hand at this point you play lesser games and more rest, that was the same strategy Klopp used last season. $30 on Liverpool to qualify and no going back it's a good bet which I'm very much certain.

Liverpool are struggling to score goals because at the moment, the team lacks idea and creativity and they span crosses throughout the games 90 minutes; but Liverpool defense system is not improved; Klopp has positioned his team to defend first before attack, which is evident as to why Both Trent and Robertson are not found higher up the pitch.

Todays FA Cup tie will speak volume about Liverpool squad depth; will they get exposed today by Manchester United? time will tell.
