Friendlies are not real games to be taken seriously and as such you can take it anyhow and if you saw the starting lineup of Man UTD, you'd know they weren't really interested in winning as the only senior players in attendance were Rashford, Wan bissaka, Johnny Evans, Casemiro while the rest were academy boys and to make it worse, these senior boys were all replaced in the second half yet the Rosenborg side found it difficult to net a goal. I least expect to see Manchester United in your list but you surprised me. I don’t know what you have seen in Manchester United or the angle you accessed them from that makes you think they will return to tittle race in the coming season. Of course, no one can tell how each of these teams will perform next season but from all indications, I don’t see any signs of seriousness in Manchester United that will make me to rate them among title contenders.

I'm not even gonna lie, I have big expectations for Manchester United this season, but that can only happen if the management get the defenders lined up to be signed and then a new midfielder, maybe a new defensive midfielder for sqaud depth.

Joao Neves and Martin Martin Zubimendi are defensive midfielders who have been linked with Manchester United. These players have attracted the attention of several clubs so if Man United are interested they must immediately make a deal, the club really needs to look for better players than last season to improve next season's performance because Casemiro's performance continues to decline and Man United cannot continue to rely on him.

If Ten hag is able to return Manchester United to its best form again, then it does not rule out the possibility that Manchester United will compete again, at least in the race for tickets to the Champions League. Yes the competition between these two clubs will continue next season, because if you look at it Arteta still wants to try to break Manchester City dominance while the club is coached by Pep Guardiola.
