In the mean time i learnt his assistance has been given the mandate incase the board eventually fires Erick Ten Hang, he's going to take over till the arrival of anew coach whom the team is looking at getting. I agree that firing Ten Hag at this time may not be the ideal thing to do but at the same time keeping him isn't the best either and there are situations that requires drastic measures one of which is this and they can find a way to move forward there after, as keeping him any longer will not be of any good to the team.

This situation should have happened earlier, Eric ten Haag has indulged Manchester United team in a very poor performance. So his sacking is the only expedient, and the appointment of a new coach will once again put the team in its strongest form. Because the performance of the players in the Manchester United team is very good and experienced players but they are failing in terms of strategy in the game only because of the coach. As expected Erik Ten Hag really got full support from United top brass despite showing bad results. Regardless of the 2 trophies he gave, in the end Man United position in the standings still proves that they are going through a difficult season. I think it's quite clear that if he is to be retained then all United fans should be patient for quite a long time, maybe 2 to 3 more seasons to see Man United in the ranks of the strongest clubs again. With the decision to support Ten Hag, if at the end of the season the club is in the lower ranks, we will not blame coach Ten Hag anymore but we will corner all this setback due to Man United top brass themselves who do not want to make a firm decision.

Where did you get this information? According to the leaks, no decision has been made today and he could still be fired in the coming days. Yes you are right Manchester City is struggling without Rodri which shows how important he is to team. His absence has revealed big weakness. To fix this Manchester City wants to sign Martín Zubimendi from Real Sociedad like you said. However £60 million price tag is questionable. Zubimendi is talented but he does not seem interested and Real Sociedad initially said no. Pep Guardiola wants to replace Rodri quickly but this urgency might lead to overpaying.

I quite agree with you Manchester City have their big gun missing and it worries not only Pep but the whole team (just as KDB is out) because they don't have that player who always intercept and cut out threat from opposition teams. Getting a new player to fill in the void would be hard no matter how good Pep sees that player, he can't do the job the way Rodri does it, if not why is Mateo Kovačić not the best option to take Rodri's place? Is hard now for Manchester City, not that Zubimendi isn't going to do well but it won't be this very campaign, maybe after getting him it will take a little time to blend in. For the first time we're going to see Manchester City making a desperate move for a player and I know for sure that no matter the pressure Pep is going to get a better player.
