Arsenal seems to be doing well but I don't want you to underestimate 6 points in a league like EPL where a big team winning a match is not guaranteed.

If Liverpool keeps on winning all their matches, then Arsenal won’t really be able to cover up, just one point shouldn’t be underestimated, not to talk of 6 points, and Liverpool is having one outstanding match to be played. If they can win the match, then the point difference between Arsenal and Liverpool will increase, and from the way Liverpool is playing currently, I don’t think they will be dropping points currently, they are doing everything possible to win all their matches.

Let’s just see how they both are going to perform in their next few matches, but I won’t be surprised if Liverpool ends up winning the Premier League title, but I will say it’s still kind of early to conclude.

A contract extension offer for Harry Maguire by the management of Manchester United I think is deserving of the England international. I know we've talked about his obvious mistakes that's made the club lost matches before now but let's also not forget that Maguire has significantly improved in recent months and even more since Ruben Amorim arrived Manchester United. I think the Portuguese manager is interested in working with Maguire and is very ready to prioritize him in his defensive plans for the club so for me, he should be given a new contract

I agree with you because regardless that a lot of people are not happy with the offer for his contract extension but it is not how it should be. Maguire has made great mistakes in the past but should we continuing deliberating on his past and forget his present? For all i know Harry Maguire has shown improvements since Amorim became the club's manager so if the club offers him a contract extension it should not be condemned. However, it doesn't mean that they can't still look for tactical players in the defense during the transfer window.

When Harry Maguire first signed for the team, he was performing awesomely till a time when he started declining in performance so we shouldn't just discard the efforts and commitment he gave to the team when he signed newly and also now that he has been able to get back a bit even though it's not much visible but at least he's trying his best.

Harry Maguire is a player that has proven that football is not all about footwork but character and the perseverance. That guy was one of the persons that were hit by media, fans, fellow players, coach and as well as the management. Instead of fighting back, he remained calm and won the battle.

With the unstable nature of Manchester United, they need to retain Maguire in order to finish the season in EPL and not championship. I read something on social media where Patrice Evra even advised Amorim to return the captain ban back to Maguire.

It’s surprising to me to see this news, because I don’t really know what Harry Maguire is doing for Manchester United. Harry Maguire doesn’t play anything special when playing for Manchester United; his performance has even improved currently. We all saw how Harry Maguire was performing poorly before; he does make stupid mistakes, which at some points even his other co-players don’t like passing to him, because they know he might end up making a mistake, so why does Manchester United even have to keep a player like that? Manchester United should go for young and talented players; Harry Maguire is already old.

You are right but can we trust Arsenal after all they have done in the past when City was in the same position Liverpool are in now? They (Arsenal) can only over take Liverpool if Slot start having this poor performance and we're not sure if that will happen. The advantage game Liverpool have, we're not certain that they can win that game because is a derby that we know is a bragging right, Everton are poor in performance but when it comes to facing Liverpool winning them will be a thing of joy and they'll look for a way to get at least a point in that encounter so we can't see the Reds over taking Arsenal with that game at hand, this second half of the season is the most important period to every team because ones you make any mistake you won't have a 3rd leg to correct that error.

I don’t really think Liverpool is going to experience poor performance this season, but nobody can tell; the season is still half over, so we can’t really say what will happen, but right now, with their current performance, they are stronger and can even do more to remain at the top and win the title this season. As for Arsenal, they have been failing in the last moments of the season, and nobody is really thinking that they will do that, so even this one we can’t say whether they will make the same mistake or not, but let’s see how they will continue, whether they are going to keep their consistency or not.

Although Manchester United had previously considered selling Harry Maguire due to his inconsistent form and frequent errors, it now seems unlikely given to his recent improvements and return to form.  Maguire’s performance has been more composed and his contribution to the team have grown more and with the talks for a possible contract extension at the club the likelihood of his departure may seems unlikely.

It’s surprising to me to see this news, because I don’t really know what Harry Maguire is doing for Manchester United. Harry Maguire doesn’t play anything special when playing for Manchester United; his performance has even improved currently. Harry Maguire I think he made a lot of blunders last season but this season I see he is improving. Yes, I saw in some matches, he performs consistently, always chasing and getting the ball back when another player lost it. But, I think, Amorim must thinking it again to perform him during the match, because when I look how they play in full time, he was getting tired at the end, and was getting tired of getting the ball back, so he needed to be replaced, and is not suitable to play on full match. Beside Harry, Amorim must recruit another credible defender, because the current defender are not compact in coordinating with the midfielders so it often loses the ball, and conceded a goal.

Though lots of fans are not very pleased with what Amorin is doing concerning Harry Maguires contract due to their dislike for Maguire but I understand what the new coach is trying to do, if you notice, there's not much leadership in the squad and since Maguire is one of the leaders and former captain of the team, Amorin is trying to give him another chances to help maintain leadership in the dress room and help groom the younger talents and install discipline as well, there's no doubt that Harry Maguire had been awful to watch in the patch but recently I'm beginning to see some improvement in his skillset, he's becoming more confident at the back and bold enough to challenge opponents and hopefully Amorin would help bring out the best in him as time goes, it's not as if Manchester United are extending his contract to more years, it's just a year and if he slacks he'll leave during the summer.

With half of the season being played, I guess it is highly impossible for Southampton to stage a comeback for their survival in the English Premier League but they might still be able to reward their home fans with a few more home wins before the season ends. Luckily for Southampton, Brentford does have a very awful away record this season and I think Southampton might be able to take advantage of it and secure a rare home victory today.
