I also wonder why?I personally think he's not worthy to be defended. The good is that as per the latest rumor he has 3 games to prove his worthiness. if his club still perform badly, he will be axed from the club. We have Glasner, Pochettino or even SouthGate to be a potential candidate to replace him.

These are clear signs that Amorim isn't the right man to manage Man Utd. After all, Man Utd has given him plenty of time, and things still look the same (no improvement since the start of this new season). Honestly, my gut tells me that if management doesn't act soon, a similar ending to last season could happen to Man Utd.
No matter who the coach is, it will be difficult to bring Manchester United back to its glory days. Amorim is just another coach who pushed himself even though he knew he wasn't capable of doing it. Since when have coaches at that club been able to fix problems? Until now, none of them have been able to. The club's problems are too complicated, and coaches like Amorim are just taking a step backwards.

According to Fabrizio he said Manchester United have announced a RECORD revenue of £666.5m, despite no Champions League football. Some of the club fans are taking solace in this news, some say since they are not in any competition outside England and they are also not playing well in general, let them at least be happy that their team is making money, lol.

With the several coaching changes that have taken place, we can see that the problems at United are not simple. Perhaps what could uncover these issues is a former coach who has been fired after previously managing the team. Amorim does not improve tactics or maximize player performance. However, what has happened may not be as good as hoped.
Rumors have circulated regarding several names that will replace Amorim; perhaps if he cannot handle the issues at United in a few matches, his fate will be sealed. Although I am also not sure that his replacement will be better.

If anyone should be amused by those statistics, it shouldn't be Man United fans, but rather the Glazers. It is for this reason that the Glazers continue to cling on regardless of the good or bad performance of the team they built, as they can get a big income every year. I heard the rumors that their infrastructure has not improved and may not change after Alex Ferguson retired, so you can imagine why Man United is having a hard time getting back on their feet because most likely their Management has really messed up.

Honestly, my gut tells me that if management doesn't act soon, a similar ending to last season could happen to Man Utd.

Manchester united has given him plenty time? Like seriously? Did he not take over when the season was almost over last season? We are just into a new season with only four matches played for goodness sake.

Although, I'm not a Manchester united fan and I don't care whether they sack their coach or not but it's unfair to say they have given him plenty of time when he hasn't spent a complete season with them. When you talk of Arsenal and Arterta now, I will definitely agree with you that they have given him enough time to prove himself.

Manchester united problem is beyond changing of coach as we assumed. This guy (Amorin) was doing well in his former club before coming here and things started going south for him. Ten Hang was here and couldn't fixed the problem, Amorin is here and the problem persists. How sure are we that bringing in a new coach would fix it?

Personally, i don't see any significant improvement at Manchester United. They are still performing poorly, just like last season. Their defense is still very fragile and vulnerable to being breached, even though Ruben Amorim has taken over as coach. So far, the results have not been satisfactory. A coach must have tactical flexibility, but consistency is equally important. Amorim needs to place players in positions where they feel most comfortable, thereby boosting their confidence and performance, especially if such approaches have proven successful in the past. I believe he still has the opportunity to prove himself, even though many fans are disappointed, it is very possible to make them believe again that there will be good results in upcoming matches. Now it is up to Amorim to prove it.

For me, Lewandowski is not far from the fact and truth about this. He said that that the Premier League pays a lot of money that these players they are buying for big prices sometimes they don't even have one good season, once you are young and you score 10 goals in 6 months, you see clubs paying 60 or 70 million. But if it were back in those days, you needed to actually achieve something before he could be transferred with a huge fee. Seriously, if you look at this, you will know that Lewandowski is correct, these days they pay huge amount of money for players that are not even proven or sometimes just a one season wonder.

However, he never won the Ballon d'Or because he didn't have the same PR as FIFA's son  Grin
But the prostitute Fabrizio will never write about this, just like about the fact that Messi missed a penalty and his team lost 0-3, everyone knows these patterns.
Unfortunately even a bad City easily beat United, it's time to take bets on when Amorim will be sacked, even though I expected him to be given a full season.
You are really funny, but it's true that sometimes Fabrizio is sentimental in some of his post and he always picks a side. I have also noticed him having a particular choice of words when it comes to reporting almost the same incident but in different ways for two separate players. His headings or title is different, just like you said, he didn't really report the Inter Miami match the way he would have reported it had it been they won.

~snip~
Football can be very tough to play when things aren’t going your way, especially after the transfer window and bringing players into the club, right now we know how different Liverpool and Manchester United are right now, How difficult the Manchester United job have been, I think even if a Manager like Peo Guardiola or a Jurgen Klopp should take the Manchester United job he will definitely find it very difficult to manage the team, he will definitely have to sell some players who wouldn’t fit into his plans at the club, so there would be a lot of changes that would have to be made in the team, Now talking about selling players, I think Liverpool sold very good players and made money from them to also try and bring in new quality players, and some of this players was sold because they wanted more playing time in their careers, and some also wanted more money, the difference between Manchester United transfers is that this players have been frozen out of the club project and have been told by the club to look for another club, but they find it very difficult to attract clubs because of their bad performances, so definitely since there performance are bad and they have no choice but to allow them leave for free or terminate their contract.
The issue at United is asset management. Check Liverpool: they sold Luis Diaz at £65m, Ninez at least £56m, Quansah £34m... They are good prices that circulate directly to Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike. And even they cut the £275k/week off the wage bill that Trent had. That is the freshening of a title contender without blowing the PSR. United on the other hand? They spent £228m and only brought £61m in earnings and two of their star players (Eriksen and Lindelof) left for free. That is brutal inefficiency

The loan management is even worse. Sancho at Villa, yet United continue to pay around -50k every week. That will be 2.6m a year down the drain on a man who does not even share their dressing room. Divide that by a couple of those who just have gone dead in the middle of the play and your rebuild budget is disappearing. I do not mind whether it is Pep or Klopp in there, you cannot do miracles with a group of overpaid players that no one wants to purchase. The cycle will repeat until United begins to move the assets before they depreciate

Manchester United are still much weaker in attack than City. So we saw in the match that although they are ahead in possession, they are far behind in attack, which is why they have not seen any goals. They need a high-quality striker who will help United play offensively. I still don't understand what their main problem is? Why don't they spend some money on the necessary players and work for the improvement of the team? Doesn't this reveal the weakness of their management?

United's dominance is decreasing day by day, rather they are coming to the field to give 3 points to the opponent day by day. I think that for the improvement of Manchester United, their management should be reorganized and the necessary changes should be made and the team should be improved. City's situation is also not satisfactory.

Yes, it certainly won't be satisfactory but it is generally better than Manchester United who are really at a very low level, unfortunately these guys don't seem to be able to handle the pressure and the level of the Premier League, perhaps it's also the manager's fault.

I don't really know what to say anymore because someone (Coach) that will do better don't need to stay half season before he will start manifesting himself though his case maybe a different one but with what is happening currently I don't think Amorim will ever help Manchester united unless there is another direction of the wind and so it will be best and better Manchester united start looking for another manager. Everything about Manchester united is so complicated that one don't even know if the problem is the manager or the players because all the players that has gone out of Manchester united are playing very well.

Bro i think Ruben Amorin is not just fit for that job, he took over from Erik Ten Hang half of last season and he's done absolutely nothing different from Erik Ten Hang it was all lost God so kind he made it to the Europa League final where he would have taken up to himself to win something but he screwed it all up, ok we all believe maybe he's just took over from half a way, now the new season is here, he's got some pretty good players than Erik Ten Hang yet the team is still struggling, let's not just bring the management into this because those guys really did their best this season it's all up to the coach to utilize it but hell no he doesn't have such idea, who still use 3 men defense in this present days of the English premier League that kind of weird, he should just go simple.
You might actually not be far from the truth, from his statistics, his done nothing different positively for Manchester United instead his even becoming worse than Ten Hang for some reasons. His number of wins per game is worse than Ten Hang's own, just 8 wins in 31 EPL games that's a record one wouldn't want to have in his coaching career.

I’m eager to hear what you guys think about Onana’s performance yesterday’s game. I didn’t watch the full game, I only watched the highlights on YouTube and I saw Onana made some interesting saves but I can’t speak on his overall performance in the game. I want to know if Manchester United was the problem or is Onana just a bad goalie.
He had some good games at United too, but for a goalkeeper consistency is more important than a few bright games (for forwards it's the other way around), so we need to wait for some statistically relevant sample. I think at least 10 games are needed to see how he will show himself. In fact, I understand that United is a real problem in the case of many players who have rotted there, but I doubt that the mistakes he made playing at United can be somehow justified.
I do not think this game he did alright was a fluke, like the decent games he had at United. It was more about how any player who leaves United ends up getting better results. This is why it's clear that we are going to see them all do fine, including Onana. Just look at their transfers, I do not remember any player that left United and got worse.

There is something at United, no idea what it is, but something there, which makes the whole team bad. Managers, goalkeepers, defenders, midfields, attackers, like something is wrong. I have no idea how that could be fixed. Onana will do great on his new team, and United needs to sell both Glazers and INEOS shares to someone else and get a totally new owner, we need to see how that would do.
Manchester United is just like a drowning team that is looking for excuses to hold onto, so it safe for them to say Onana was the problem that time, Onana had his own flaws no doubt about that, but it was not enough to hip the blame on him. Manchester United as at today have literally had a turn around in their team with the likes of new players which is expected that within the next couple of months, they should be back in winning ways, but unfortunately we are yet to witness that, however I believe there's something fundamentally wrong with the club which nobody has been able to identify, or maybe it will take the likes of a new coach that can easily recognize what is the missing catalyst.

Manchester United hit £666.5m record revenue but lose £33m amid turmoil

Manchester United have revealed record revenues of £666.5m for last season but still reported a loss of £33m for the financial year. The club were without Champions League football in 2024-25 and finished 15th in the Premier League but their revenue marginally increased by 0.7%.

Accounts for the year ending 30 June 2025 show United’s operating loss fell from £69.3m to £18.4m compared with the previous 12 months. Overall losses dropped from £113.2m to £33m after the co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe oversaw wide-ranging, and often unpopular, changes at a club he claimed in March had “gone one off the rails” as a business. The British billionaire warned United would have gone “bust at Christmas” if they had not taken “really tough decisions”.

The chief executive, Omar Berrada, said: “On the field, we are pleased with the additions we have made to our men’s and women’s first-team squads over the summer, as we build for the long term. Off the field, we are emerging from a period of structural and leadership change with a refreshed, streamlined organisation equipped to deliver on our sporting and commercial objectives.

“To have generated record revenues during such a challenging year for the club demonstrates the resilience which is a hallmark of Manchester United … As we start to feel the benefits of our cost-reduction programme, there is significant potential for improved financial performance, which will, in turn, support our overriding priority: success on the pitch.”

You're absolutely right, if Manchester United continues to experience a decline in performance like now, I think they should fire Amorim as soon as possible. Because if Manchester United continues to be left like this, I think they could be relegated from the Premier League. Because right now Manchester United really looks like they're struggling in every match, whether the opponent is strong or weak. Even though, as we know, Real Madrid has bought expensive players, so they should have a good impact on the team's performance, but strangely, Manchester United's performance is currently declining. So with that, I think Manchester United must have the courage to take decisive action by firing Amorim and looking for a new coach who has better qualities than Amorim.

But Manchester United also really needs to be careful when looking for a new coach again, because until now they have always recruited less than good coaches. But even so, it seems Amorim will remain at Manchester United. Because until now I haven't heard any news saying that Amorim will be fired from the coaching chair at Manchester United. So yes, Manchester United may face significant problems this season. While the other big teams in the Premier League are busy with various competitions like the Champions League, Manchester United are still preoccupied with their poor form.

A very strange thing is happening at Manchester United, perhaps the current manager is not capable, I am not the type to send people away aggressively, we can see how it goes for a little while longer and then in my opinion we can decide, ourselves, whether he is capable or not.
In the end it's always up to the team to decide whether to keep him, we can only talk!

Was it there last match against Manchester City?, no Onana wasn't featured on the match, although I don't no why they didn't use him but perhaps it might be because of the same thing we have  been observing about his goalkeeping approach because Manchester United coach I no wouldn't keep him out of the match if something wasn't wrong. The goalkeeper Manchester United use instead was Bayindir, it seems he was there second goalkeeper but he tried and was agile actually if not that he wasn't use that often I would have said they should be using him instead of Onana, I wish they would play him again as Chelsea come to them.

I think at this point Amorim is just too adamant to change his philosophy. He has refused to play his players to their best position and I also believe the players have lost confidence in him.

I didn't watch it but I read the match report:

https://www.goal.com/en-ng/lists/andre-onana-man-utd-loanee-gets-off-worst-possible-start-trabzonspor-latest-howler-fenerbahce/bltd7fdaf92c3183680

I wouldn't judge him yet based on one blunder. Also, I think it's unfair to pin Onana's decline in form on United. If Fernandez could be performing well, week in, week out. What stopped Onana from doing the same? Playing for certain clubs come with a huge responsibility, and apparently, Onana and the likes could not handle the pressure of playing for United. It's as simple as that.

The patience United have with Amorim will soon run out. I don't think he has had a successful run better than Erik ten Hag, the impression he started or which the club gave him was like a redemption to them, till date United are still the talk of concern in the Premier League. Nothing seems to be working for United, they brought in new coach and signed some players, this bad results will soon force the board to believe Amorim as the problem if he don't fix the performance soon enough.
With this patient, I don't think Amorim will make any good improvements in the future if he refuse to sign talented defenders to replace their current defenders, we thought is Onana their goalkeeper that is making the team not to make progress in some competitions, and since they replaced the goalkeeper Manchester United we have not see positive results from their coach because he was signed to move the team forward, and Manchester United didn't qualify for UEFA champion League tournament this season base on their poor performance,  I think Erik Ten hag is more better than this coach Amorim because Manchester United had played four matches they  only win one match from premier League tournament, which is a big worry to Manchester United managements and in short time they will make a surprise move that will shock people about their coach.

Yes i am don't think we can go any further, this situation is becoming unmanageable so much so that there are already four names to replace him Mauricio Pochettino Oliver Glasner Andoni Iraola Gareth Southgat, so it will only be a matter of time for the replacement.

I don't know if the club doesn't dim it fit to appoint one of their own even after serving as one of the coaching crew previously. I still remember Michael Carrick as well, he was once an interim manager and managed few games. In those few games he had a very decent statistics, I wonder why the management hasn't thought it wise at least for once to give these guys a little chance to prove themselves.

That won't help them. They might have better results than they have now, but they will still be a miserable club.
In my opinion, what Manchester United needs is a very experienced coach, a very good one who can handle every single thing in the club. I'm talking about the players he wants, the way they play, and a manager who can handle the dressing room properly and instil confidence in the players. Then they have to give him 2-3 seasons to build his team the way he wants. Everything should rely on the managers. A manager who can make sure all the outside noise doesn't affect the players. The noise from the fans, former players and the management of the club shouldn't affect the player.

They need a profile like Pep, Klopp or Hansi Flick who can make the players bend to his will and love him at the same time. Amorim is not that man the same way Ten Hg was not that man. Right now, it doesn't matter the kind of players United sign, they will still struggle.
