Yes, even though they sometimes play poorly, Manchester United can still win some matches. I think most people here expect Manchester City to win. However, we wouldn't be surprised if Manchester United win because we know they take these matches very seriously. The Manchester derby is one of the most closely watched matches in the Premier League. It will be enjoyable to watch, but everything looks unfavorable for Manchester United right now.

It's impossible for Manchester United to beat Manchester City, which I consider implausible. Yes, I also think a derby like this could produce an unexpected result, but look at how United slumped after Amorim left, while Manchester City is currently in top form. Manchester United are considered weak but their recent performance is not that bad. The match will be very important for Man City. There will be a chance to increase the points compared to Aston Villa. United will be much more confident to win. One thing I loved about their injury time display is their fighting for more goals instead of just sitting back and defending their one goal lead. Most teams would just sit back and defend their goal and if they tried such, it could have seen Newcastle equalize. Congratulations to them.

I agree in this types of competitive games there are no clear favorites because both teams will be coming out for a win as there exist a bitter rivalry between these two teams. But going by current form i think that Manchester City is the favorite in this game because Manchester United is not in a very good form and Manchester United looks disorganized and this is not the best time to play a team like city that has eyes on the title.


This game will be very decisive especially for Manchester City because they can't drop points again because anything short of victory will not be good for their title race.

I think Arsenal are the favourites, but i say this because Arsenal have many more points than Manchester City and this is a huge advantage that allows them to be much more relaxed and think about managing the advantage with peace of mind, obviously they have to be very careful not to make any missteps

It's a shame that Manchester United are not performing well at the moment, so I think Man City could easily beat them. Manchester United is not in good shape. And we actually can see the many problems that Manchester United is facing. Michael Carrick is now the coach of Man United. And the start of his journey with Manchester United will not be easy as he will face Manchester City and even Arsenal in the near future. I don't think Carrick will be able to quickly fix Man United's poor performance. He will need time or even several matches to analyze his team. So I personally predict that Manchester United will still be unable to face the big teams at the top of the standings. It is highly likely that Manchester United will lose in the upcoming derby. I won't not use the word impossible,  because this is a football match and it's also a derby match. It's true that Manchester City are the clear favorite,  but that does not mean that Manchester United can not spring up surprises in the match. Even though in football anything is possible but this Manchester derby match is an exception because they is no outcome of possible that Manchester United could beat Manchester city. Manchester United isn't the team that we can confidently rely on to against Manchester city. There are clubs we can rely on but Manchester United which am certain isn't among them. I don't think Manchester United still has any fights left in them against Manchester city.
Manchester city shouldn't mess up in this match. They cannot afford to lose, they must secure all three points against United to closing the gap between them and Arsenal.

That's true. Although Man United's performance isn't much better than City's, it's difficult to predict a big match like this, as was the case last season when Man United beat Man City. Playing at home will have a slight advantage for Man United, but Man City's chances of beating the hosts are also high, considering that Man United is currently unstable after a change of manager, so they could still suffer a defeat.

I doubt Man United can beat Man City in their current form, but I'm more confident they can hold their opponents to a draw if they can perform better. Man City also has quite dangerous attacking qualities, so what the Man United coach needs to implement is how to limit these attacks so that the players don't have free rein.

Talking about Manchester United and quality players, I will give an example, there was a certain period that Manchester United wanted to sign Frank De Jong from Barcelona, they did almost everything possible to convince him but he didn't want to leave Barcelona. City are of course the favorites, but in the previous 3 games (Sunderland, Chelsea, Brighton) they were also clear favorites but scored only 3 points out of 9 possible. They are not as good as they seem, or more precisely, not as good as everyone has become accustomed to over the past years. At the moment, bookmakers are pricing this game as follows:

In fact, United are rated even better than I thought, in fact the probability of City winning is 50%. But frankly speaking, with such odds there is no point in betting on United, there is no value here.
