Yes, we don't need to take preseason matches too seriously, because they are just trials and not serious matches. Your point because a lot of new coaches use this pre-season to know the capacity of their players because if assuming they came when the league have started, honestly they'll find it very difficult to couple, and for all this kind of situation to happen definitely the team might have be in a very bad condition which is why they get a replacement so that they can be able to recover from their losses. And mind you, I am not judging Manchester United's performance today for the Premier League. I really dont care about their performance today. All I am saying is that, with the result I saw today, if I were to be a Manchester United fan. I wont be impressed at all. I'll need better from my team. The transfer window is still open. Time to go back to the drawing board and sign more players. This Manchester United team is not scary at all.

After the World Cup, players now needed a good break, and having preseason games is helping them have improvement and adjustment with the new system and players, but clubs are not going to have minds like this because they want things to start quickly, and they have their players on the field.

Whether a club wins or loses in these matches does not carry much value. Even there is a big difference between pre-season and main season, there is also a difference in the performance of players. Playing well in pre-season does not mean that a club or player will play well, playing poorly will result in poor performance. Even small clubs play against big clubs in pre-season to improve themselves.

Yeah you are correct, preseason matches are used to try a lot of tactics, is an opportunity for the coach to try out a tactics he has been thinking about and to try new players in different positions he believes they can do well, I can’t judge a club or a team because of their performance in a preseason match, because that’s not actually their true self, they are not fighting for anything in that match they are just trying out new things, this is just how I see preseason matches.

Majority of the players who played are academy grownups. It was a good game for me because they can work on their shortcomings ahead of the next international friendly fixture.
Maybe before that we could see more Manchester United players joining them to make things more beautiful and intense. The gap in our backline can be seen, hopefully Manchester United management can get their build up ahead of the season completely.

Regardless of the number of Manchester United players that was absent in the game they ought not to have lost against such team, the players needs to be strong enough to play against any team even when they are incomplete so that if they encounter a difficult situation in the league they can be sure of scoring goals and winning their games also. We don't want to know if their next opponent is weak or not we want them to win matches and they should score goals.

Preseason games is just for fun in order for the coach to come up with a new experiment and see if it will work out. It's doesn't bring out the best performance from a team so don't get it twisted. You cannot use the teams performance in preseason matches to judge their performance when the league starts. I don't bet on preseason games.
