Pre season games is just to tell people that the main league is about to kick off most teams and players doesn't take it serious that's why i doesn't conclude just base on pre season games. I don't even take friendly matches that serious, what is there to gain when players that were supposed to start are bench while the usual bench players are played and when the coach notices a change in the game or didn't go as he planned, then he made changes to the team to make substitution but that time it may be late because the opponent might have change from attacking to defending, even if the coach make substitution it will not work that time.

The commitment of the players is very crucial in any game, I don't think players are going to be committed to any friendly game and consider it something because they don't even record any goals from there until the season start and since players knows very well that it will not only affect their team, it will affect their carrier, they play like their life depend on it than when they played ordinary friendly games.

Giving them a complete rest with no routine to keep them united as a team might even make things harder when the season kicks off officially. This is very correct, mangers do not see or regard preseason as games to be giving too many considerations or attentions sometimes, because for them, it is like a warm up for the new season, i personally do view it as an extension to the training gotten before the main season starts. There are usually no rewards following preseason games, and it is never used to rank teams or any of sort, all of this put together makes ,managers not to give in so much for it.

You are absolutely correct, the world Cup is over and without wasting any time, it's time for players to return back their various clubs and join their other fellow team mate to begin preparation for the league season that will likely begin next month being August..

From my little experience from playing street football, there is no special kind of rest that makes a player perform better, rather going on a long rest would make the player to become more dull and possibly lose some skills and flexibility. So to be honest, a day or two days rest is absolutely OK for a player, and I don't see how the players who played in the world Cup aren't going get this before the league season begins.
And talking about the friendlies, a football match is only played for 90 minutes, and maybe extra 10 to 15 minutes if we include extra time, that's like 1 hour, 40 or 45 minutes of play, then the players will have all the remaining hours in the 24 hours that makes a day to rest, so I honestly don't see why players coming from the world Cup deserve any extra rest except they take a break to visit family and friends.

Yeah of course, pre season results mean very little. It’s all about the players getting back to full fitness and the coach trying out new tactics etc. Many of the players are still away on holiday after the World Cup. I never worry about pre season results, just like winning them all also means very little.

I will be more concerned about Manchester United if they were unable to start the season very well because that is what affected them last season where they started very poorly and then later went on to build momentum but it was too late because clubs like Arsenal had already taken the lead on the Premier League table and were not slowing down.
I think Manchester United will also be the biggest opponent for Arsenal this season so I'm personally not bothered about the result from the preseason fixture with Wrexham.

True there’s not much to preseason matches, it’s just like the international friendlies before a major tournament. Teams use them to set out strategies and tactics to see how it works in real life and not on paper, and also to see the individual strengths of their squad cos sometimes how you perform in training might be actually different from when you’re facing an unknown opponent.
I never judge players by their preseason output, it’s just for experimentation so Coaches won’t have an excuse when the season starts proper. Another reason why new coaches when a season have started find it difficult.

On other hand, MU looks promising to bet with, but they were always struggling when it came to beat the weak opponent. So i think it's gonna be a hard game, though they face huill city in the first match week of EPL.

However, money line for both of games seem not worthy.
