I still wonder why some people thinks that because Manchester United didn't do well in the pre season that they won't do well in the upcoming season.

I haven’t seen anyone that thinks Manchester United are not going to perform well by next season just because they lost their pre season match. Carrick joined Manchester United last season, and he has proven to us that he is a talented coach already. A coach that took Manchester United from middle of the table to 3rd position, he has proven himself to be the right coach for Manchester United, and am so sure that Manchester United are going to perform well by next season.

Pre-season results mean absolutely nothing, it is just for fitness. People forget that Michael Carrick completely transformed this team since January. Taking United from the middle of the pack straight to a 3rd place finish and back to the Champions League is a massive statement. He proved he is the real deal, which is why the board gave him a permanent contract until 2028. With a proper summer window, Carrick is going to cook next season. Trust the process!

Yes, preseason matches are not serious matches and many teams hardly take them so seriously. So, we can't use a teams performance in preseason to fully judge how they will perform during the season.For that reason, the result Manchester United got in their first preseason match has nothing to predict about their performance this season. Again, whether it is preseason or the regular season, we always see surprising results once in a while, where an unexpected weaker team defeats a bigger team. That is when people can start questioning whether the team may have weaknesses going into the new season.

Isn't that what friendly matches are for? In friendly matches, you test the team's players and completely revamp the squad. Losing isn't important; what matters in such matches is getting to know the players and implementing your desired match tactics. I'm still hopeful for Manchester United because they had a magnificent performance in the Premier League last year; they were truly amazing. Even their qualification for the Champions League was a success story in itself. I think they will reach the top 24 in the Champions League next year.

It's just pre season and we know how pre season games are, many teams don't take them seriously at all. It true Wrexham is not an easy team and we could see how they played against some top teams and gave a tough fight, so I wouldn't be surprised if they win against Manchester United in the preseason. Carrick ended the season in a very good fashion last season, he made the team qualify for the champions league but now is the most difficult part, he needs to prove he can handle the team under different circumstances. This will be a fresh season so he should expect fresh performance from different teams.

I'm really impressed with the transfers Manchester United are making, bringing in Santos is a good idea, he is good just not experienced enough yet. I hope they will perform well this season.

We've been watching preseason games for years and yeah winning is not the main target so don't be too serious and don't expect more, if in the end they win it's just a bonus   Personally I also believe in Michael Carrick, he is one of the coaches who can bring changes to the team quickly and he has proven it last season. To be honest, I didn't believe Manchester United would play in the Champions League but since Carrick took over everything seems to have changed and continues to improve. I agree that Manchester united Fans should not be worried or bothered about the preseason loss but trolls will not take it, they want to engage with that a lot and make the team look like they are failing already, and most fans will not want to accept that but the fact remains that it is not a thing to really worry about, it actually tells nothing about the actual form of the team in the true sense, ordinarily i do not think or expect a team to give out their all in the preseason games and that it because their tactical ideas need to be protected at the time and basically player testing is what they should be looking at and not using all of their best tactics already.

From my point of view, losing in pre-season is actually a good thing because it makes the players realise the level of commitment required; otherwise, they'd start off straight away thinking they're unbeatable.

Yes, you can't blame yourself, in these friendlies strategies are adopted and secondary players are used to evaluate their quality and make better use of their seasonal use, which is also why the results may not arrive, with young people with little experience we need to give space to understanding and learning how to make them perform at their best.

People are not the same my friend, you don't expect people to have the same reaction and you don't even expect people to react the same way they do, some people might have gamble big amount of money on that game while some people did not even watch it at all, remember when the game was played there was World cup going, it's normal to get this kind of reaction from people that didn't watch and people that bet their money on that match.

Who would have known, maybe some people gamble on the fact that Carrick had a great season and because of that they think he is still the super guy in the Premier League that will change game and the thought of it been a friendly match would have made them go high on the game. Who knows if he will make the league become the tough one for other teams by the team everyone come back in 3 weeks time, people should not dare him and his team for now.

The Dutch international Summerville is obviously chasing the money with his recent agreement with one of the finest Saudi Arabian clubs Al Hilal. I honestly thought he'd want to remain in the Premier League Competition or make a move to the Italian Seria A but he had other plans at least this should be clarity for AS Roma agitating to make ome more bid for him after seeing severals rebuffed completely. He is a player with work rate, I also thought he'd make a good signature in the Premier League. Godspeed to him.

Winning is definitely not the main target and more importantly, the preseason matches during or right after a World Cup are not at all about serious testing. Many players are missing for many teams and the whole focus is to tension back into the minds and the bodies of the available players and to test out young talents, newcomers, whoever. Thinking that losing one of these preseason matches has any predictive power for the season couldn't be further from the truth.

Bad turning point of has career if you chose money over football. Summerville play the best campaign of has career but unfortunately Netherlands out at the starting knockout game but he was the main men for Netherlands and after the worldcup everyone eye on them and alot of big club are wanting him but they chose more money over football because Aston Villa offer him a good money but they refused to chase more money in the Saudi Legaue. I don't say bad about Saudi Legaue but they are destroying player to give extra money they are using a marketing strategy.

Wrexham is a second division club; last season they finished 7th in the EFL Championship, conceding 65 goals in 45 games. Manchester United is a first division team, finishing third. So even if they played with a B team or even a C team, they should have been able to at least score against Wrexham. The justification that these were friendly matches is invalid because they were just playing around on the field, not taking it seriously. It's a very weak justification because it means Manchester United only has 11 good players, and when someone gets injured or when the coach rotates players in cup games against opponents like Wrexham, Manchester United will lose.

Chances of them coming back is high but that if they replace the player that would leave to play in bigger with good ones, they sold Fernandes for a huge fee and can use that to recruit quality fast rising players that could help them come out of the Championship league,  it's going to be tough but with the Premier league experience they have, they can do it.

 Well Nuno is a lucky coach, I thought West Ham would sack him after failing to help them escape relegation but they still gave him another opportunity to make up for it. He has to do his best to keep West Ham in a good position till the league is almost over else they'll sack him if they don't improve in the Championship league.

Although Manchester United lost in the pre-season, I think there is nothing to worry about. Manchester United will definitely not play the same games they played in the pre-season in the main season, but will improve their performance. Moreover, since Manchester United currently has a good coach in charge, he will definitely bring the team victory with his strategy to take the team to a good position. Lets keep our fingers crossed and trust Carrick for another wonderful season ahead. I am as expectant as everyone who wish to see Carrick do beyond his achievement last season despite meeting Man U in a bad shape, taking the club from 7th position to 3rd where the qualify for Champions league spot is beyond any achievement. Their performance in the champions league next season is another key thing to look out for.

Come to think about it, do you think football will be entertaining when there are no trolls? I mean the industry is more fun with them when they create some illusions they can't make their self. Some people are very good at criticism but trust me they can't handle half of what they say nor can they even do the job. Don't you think that if there are ways for clubs to make their team better they will do it but that's what they have at the hand and use for that time.

Manchester united is a great team, Carrick is good as well. I think the reason why many people are mad now about Carrick is that it's only Carrick that has had friendly match. Assuming other people has experience the same or has played, the attention would have moved a little. Let's see what people are going to say by the time Xabi Alonso use Chelsea to play his pre-season matches, it's going to be lot of fun.

Carrick is the guy; Man U just traced back to the right source despite being with them all this long. What the so-called seasoned coaches couldn't do, he did it, as I can't remember when Man U won the third spot in the EPL, may be 3 or 4 years ago when they started dwindling. That's ridiculous! The first time that Carrick was a caretaker, when Ole Gunnar Solskjær was sacked, was the time they should have studied the guy better instead of rushing to give the job to Ralf Rangnick, for he was doing well then. But to what gain for Man U until he's back? I can only wish the guy and Man U well this season.
