A very bad night for the Blues as they suffered three goals defeat in the hand of Brentford. Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago and Fábio Carvalho got the three second half goals to seal the fate of Chelsea in what can be regarded as an emotional encounter tonight. This is a huge disgrace for the Xabi Alonso side because there was huge expectations from them tonight despite playing away. Brentford is proving to be a stubborn team this season and I hope they keep up this energy.
Since Chelsea had a good start this season in the Premier League, and after they drew 2-2 with Hull City last weekend I was hoping they are going to bounce back to winning ways against Brentford but when I saw the starting lineup of Chelsea knew if Brentford doesn't win Chelsea the match will end as draw, because Chelsea team that played against Brentford was just like Sunderland or Ipswich so I'm not surprised as Brentford scored three goals past Chelsea in the second half to win the game 3-0.

The bees sting Chelsea 3 times at the Gtech stadium. It was no surprise at all. I knew Brentford would either win or get a draw against Chelsea. I don't know between Xabi Alonso's ball and Michael Carrick's ball which one is worse.
At the end of the day, it’s a team sport. Individual brilliance comes in handy at times. But Chelsea want to use individual brilliance to win the league. What excuse will they give this time? A sense of Pedro and Caceido might be the excuse this time around
I didn't watch the game but I saw the full time score line and honestly it was really disgracing, I'm not a Chelsea fan but I actually feel for them in this game because the goal margin was really much. I wonder what form Brentford is to have won Chelsea 3:0, anyway it is football anything is possible. Xabi Alonso and Michael Carrick is really having a tough time and the funny part is that they will play a good football but the problem is winning, Chelsea possesed the game but couldn't win.

Sometimes it beats my imagination to see Chelsea losing to a team like Brentford in the English premier League. What's actually happening with the Chelsea team? Why are they not scoring goals and beating oppositions? What's really going on with Chelsea this season despite not been in the elite tournaments this season? Chelsea lost to Brentford 3-0 and who are we going to blame?
It's because you people overate Chelsea. I don't know if you guys watch them. They have not been impressive. Today made it obvious. They couldn't create chances. How is Brantford creating more chances than Chelsea? I was not expecting Alonso to win the league, but I was expecting his team to play well and with a style. if you want to have a bad defense because you are attacking, then you should be able to create chances, but they don't create chances. You can't win games if you don't create chances. I still think they can make the top five if they work hard, but they will not be competing for the trophy. They don't have the midfield or the defense for that. Even their attack is not that good, but it's better than their midfield and defense.

How do you compare a team losing from two goals up to losing the entire game in a full 90 minutes without having to play extra minutes? I don't think this is a good comparison, what you will get is fans supporting their clubs and nonfans being biased. Chelsea can do better, forget the noise and work on areas where they are lacking. Today's attack wasn't sharp either, suffering defensively is nothing new to Chelsea. Xabi tried to amend those areas by making all players work defensively, it worked in the first half, which slowed the attack, in the second half, when it was time to attack more, it showed how poorly the defensive structure is, watching the team concede three goals in the second half alone.

Do not ever underated the availability of players when you bet man.. I thought that Chelsea might score little of no goals because Pedro was not available to increase and qualify their overall attacking performance and I wanted to go for a draw, but something in me insisted and now I have successfully lost my money. It's funny because even if I went for a draw I would have still lost I have no idea what is going on with Chelsea again this season

There is no difference between Chelsea football club and Manchester United. They will appear like they have woken up but the moment you decide to give them the benefit of doubt come see them going back to their former life that is what happened to Chelsea today. Hull City almost defeated Chelsea but due to the performance of Chelsea they succeed in making it a 2:2 draw but against Brentford they were outplayed, Chelsea defense was no where to be found and their attackers was left with nothing because Brentford defenders did a good job, Chelsea needs to do better if they intend to finish well this season cause they ca not be dropping points every week.

I don’t see any potential in this team, only problems. Micheal Carrick seems to be out of his depth as the new manager bounce has worn off. I’m curious what gives you confidence in this team, after watching the game against Brighton. The attack wasn’t just the problem, the defense was poor as well; Heaven, and Dalot looked like they didn’t know what to do half the time when they had the ball. They play Fulham on Sunday, I expect to see another disgraceful performance from United.
I almost felt you were referring to Chelsea because this narrative does fit the team quite nicely. There isn’t any potential in this Chelsea team as it is and their game against Brentford today really does open things up. Sanchez might not have being the problem all along but, the Chelsea defense. Arsenal built their game from the defense up and when you’re not scoring a lot of goals, it’s just normal to expect that, you would be making up on that from the defense. Chelsea isn’t doing neither of that and today, Brentford just proved what a terrible state the team continues to be in. Chelsea are in the same boat as well, although they have an advantage over United because of their lethal attack. Unfortunately, Xavi’s possession style didn’t work for Chelsea tonight. He is learning quickly that the premier league is very different from La Liga. Imagine being one of the top clubs in the league and losing 3 nil to Brentford lol. It’s interesting that Arsenal are now being used as the benchmark for teams in the premier league. Just last year, people were saying Arsenal was playing anti-football, today they are league champions and every PL team wants their manager to be like Arteta.

Xabi Alonso has started feeling the heat of the premier league. Xabi Alonso might have been a great premier league player, but that’s not a guarantee that he will succeed as a manager in this league. I don’t know what Chelsea told him before he joined them, but unfortunately I don’t think he is going to succeed with this Chelsea squad. I’m glad the Brentford team has given him reality check. I hope those that blamed Sanchez for Chelsea woes are enjoying what is happening with Emi Martinez.
The state of Chelsea right now is such that, it could make any good goalkeeper look bad. You can just imagined their performance today and how easy it is to run behind their lines. First goal came from a corner kick, just 2 headers and the goalkeeper was off his line and the ball in the net. As if that wasn’t enough, then they had their second goal from a rebound and a third. It makes you to wonder if the team have got any game plan or urgency to win games like we see in other teams like Arsenal. You don’t get to go 2 goals up against Arsenal, if you can manage to score first that is. Chelsea, it doesn’t matter, scoring first is just a mirage on win possibility, you never see them get there.

So Chelsea are going from bad to worse? Last season, they managed to ensure Brentford never took a point from them but I guess with the constant change in coaches, Xabi Alonso wasn't given the mandate, instead he had to go and lose by a huge margin and couldn't even score a goal to lessen the pain. From first half down till the end, Chelsea played absolute rubbish, succeeding only in running round the field and creating no impact in front of goal. Apparently, the front three are useless when the opponent's defense is locked solid. Overall poor performance from Chelsea and we got to see poor decision making from Xabi Alonso. He wasn't even able to bring in the right men for the game, instead chose to keep playing Pedro Neto while Estevao was kept on the bench, someone who would have created chances and made impact.

Instead of accepting Chelsea’s offer, he could have waited for better offers. Chelsea has been an inconsistent team in recent years. Xabi Alonso wanted to prove himself quickly after his time at Real Madrid, but I think he made a mistake. Everyone remembered him for his outstanding performance at Bayer Leverkusen. His time at Real Madrid was an afterthought. After his stint at Chelsea, he’ll have to prove himself all over again. Perhaps he could return to Bayer Leverkusen to do just that...

I watched this game until half time, maybe I guessed that Chelsea would draw this game based on their performance. But they let the game go like this. Brentford were able to score three goals in a short period of time, and they put so much pressure on Chelsea to score these goals that they failed to counter-attack. As a result, all the bettors who bet on this game lost their money, but in this game, Chelsea's goalkeeper could not save the goal even after using a comprehensive system. I just hope Chelsea will improve a little, if they do not improve, they will be humiliated even more this season.

A lot is really expected from Chelsea through Xabi Alonso and this should have given them a chance at the start of the season but unfortunately nothing can be done from him now. I like the stats of the performance of the act of Alonso since he started coaching big team is. Bayern Leverkusen was really the team that he got everything complete, and won himself a prestigious name till then, since then he can’t said to have been successful in any other team so far. He failed at Real Madrid and is now struggling at Chelsea.

Chelsea started this season well, and even the defeat against Arsenal didn’t look like a bad result, although they could have easily drawn that match. But when they drew at home against Hull, and especially when they lost to Brentford, it became clear that Chelsea have some problems. Seven points after five matches is far too little to say that they are ready to challenge for the Premier League title.

I always knew that Sanchez was not the problem, they were focusing on the wrong path. What is happening to Emi Martinez is very much anticipated, I'm not surprised honestly, the problem has always been a weak defense. From the lineup, I knew stupid things were bound to happen in that match, Playing Pep Chavaria as a midfielder and Fofana as a Right back was uncalled for. I would Have preferred he started with Acheampong for right back and Lavia for defensive Midfield because Brentford is a very physical team. The Chelsea squad used yesterday was soft and Brentford overpowered them in the second half. I would've preferred Hato played that wing he started Chavaria since Hato is a stronger player, he gambled with the Brentford match as well and lost his gamble. Injuries has started dealing with Alonso very early in the league as James has gone to his normal injury way, Caicedo not yet returned and Joao pedro joining the injury list. Coming matches may not be any better for Chelsea if Alonso continues with this mindless role switch.

Just few days back it was Manchester United fans complaining bitterly on how they lost to Brighton and I believe Chelsea fans made a joke about their elimination from the Carabao Cup and just last night we saw how Brentford that doesn't have respect for the bigger boys, the World Club Champions, they smashed them 3nil and now even Chelsea fans can't even explain what happened last night, this season have too many surprises and this is just the beginning. Honestly, I'd say Alonso made Bayer Leverkusen a big club because of how he led them to that wonderful performance the season they won the title and coming to Chelsea is now a different thing altogether, the players are there, the club is already big and have that recognition so nothing more to do other than get them back on track, winning games and trophies but over the last games I still see Alonso operating like Enzo Maresca, wrong substitution, wrong players to start his game, like this club Chelsea doesn't have what it takes to stay victorious for long, last night I never expected Brentford to dominate the game from the beginning to the end, what a shame.

I know many fans expected Manchester United to start the season strongly enough to challenge for the title, especially given how well they finished the previous season. Ive been a Manchester United fan since childhood myself, so I wanted to see them dominate the Premier League again. But the reality is that they aren't strong enough right now to compete with Arsenal. As for the match against Fulham, well Fulham has always been a tough side at home. But Crystal Palace and Chelsea have already beaten them away, and Fulham tends to play much more boldly at home. So I think we could see over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring. Id probably focus on the goal total for this match, I don't think I'm ready to bet on a Manchester United win away at Fulham.
Everyone obviously had reservations, but all in all there was confidence in Carrick and in this Manchester United for the new start of the championship. In fact, they all expected a fairly notable change in their favor, even if it must be admitted that so far it hasn't happened yet. Against Fulham it will be an interesting match considering that Fulham have started the championship very badly and that they are also looking for very important points for the future of the championship. Non ci siamo.

Last night, Chelsea was embarrassed by Brendforth, who flogged them 3:0. Last night was the worst night for Xabi Alonso since he became the manager of Chelsea, and I am saying welcome to England Xabi Alonso. The most interesting part of this win is that their attackers were not able to get even a goal in this match, and that is a slap to the face of the club.
Chelsea thought they had improved with the signings they made in the summers, but I can categorically say that the only signing that has worked for Chelsea from that transfer window is Morgan Rogers, and he is the reason Chelsea have scored alot of goals this season, but Xabi's failure to address the backline and midfield properly is hunting them now. It is the reason they find it difficult to keep a clean sheet, and the goal keeper they also signed as a replacement for Sanchez has lost his strength. He is no longer the Martinez of Aston Villa, and it is now I see why Aston Villa allowed him go.

Chelsea performance yesterday was extremely disheartening, it's a shock of it kind I have experienced on the beginning of this very season towards football, I never forseen that they will conceive Three goals without a single goal, with the look of things if Chelsea don't restrategize it will not go well because they have not show strong performance but ending up draws lost, through struggle which my people always referred as hard labour, I can't confidently advice gambler to give Chelsea wining in any game, even to give them goal must be on well calculated Head to head match where their strength is overwhelming the team.

The truth and reality is that the game is very hard on the goalkeepers, they always take the bigger blame than other members of the team. Andre Onana faced a similar situation when he was at Man United. When a team is underperforming even the best goalkeeper wouldn’t be enough. If Manuel Neuer or Courtouis and the likes were in a lesser team their impact wouldn’t be felt as much as it is now. Chelsea lacks a strong defence, Infact they lack defense as it is now cos they don’t have any, they’re just there to complete setup, in seven games they’ve conceded about 15 goals. Maybe they’re still rebuilding but they need to tighten their backline. Xabi Alonso has his work cut out for him, the premier league is no child’s play.

The problem with Man United up until now has been consistency, and that's what they're trying to fix through Carrick.. it takes time to be sure, and surely in that process there are things that affect Man United's performance.. Arteta's early days at Arsenal weren't smooth either, but management still gave him a chance and Arsenal ended up winning the league.
So I think Carrick still has time to improve Man United's performance because there's no instant result, it all takes a process, and in that process there are bound to be periods where the team doesn't perform as expected, and right now Man United is in that phase. But if Carrick can get Man United to 3rd place like last season, I think he should still have hope to improve the team.. what he needs right now is just the trust to stay on as Man United's manager.
Let's say that time is a luxury that many companies cannot afford to give away. Arteta is a special case because he has always shown that he knows how to give his team continuity in the game and always very convincing performances. And over time he has managed to form an impressive team that now dominates in the Premier League. i hope for Carrick that he can do the same.
