Am i the only one observing what is happening this season in the EPL? Like this season has just sprouted lots of surprises in this opening games, some of the newly promoted teams like Hull city have been performing well, other struggling teams like Brentford, Brighton, Everton and Leeds united are even above some bigger teams like Chelsea, Manchester united etc on the table.
Sincerely this season seems very competitive and full of surprises, who would have even believed that the defending EPL champions Arsenal will incur a whole 3:0 defeat to Brighton? It is actually difficult to predict the outcome of most teams this season and i won’t be surprised to see a neutral team make it to the top 4 this season.

Arsenal has given Manchester city the opportunity to climb the top of the league and I don't think Manchester city will miss the opportunity though I don't know about this Manchester city new coach but if it was Pep Guardiola, I am very sure he would make this opportunity count for the team but I don't see anything wrong so far in Manchester city new Coach and I would say he is replacing Pep Guardiola very well unlike Manchester united and Chelsea new coach.
Looking at Man City last four matches under Enzo Maresca, the results have been positive. With Arsenal having dropped three points, Man City is highly motivated to secure a win in today's match. As for Sunderland their record stands at one win, two losses, and one draw. That is why I hope the Man City players stay fully focused on fighting for those three points. To be honest I’ve placed a bet on them. Lol.

Doesn't mean because arsenal is the defending champions mean they can't be defeated by Brighton? Arsenal might be the defending champions but if they don't play exceptionally well , were you still expecting them to win? Of course being the defending champions don't stop you from losing. Brighton play better than arsenal and they defeated them convincingly. Brighton didn't win arsenal by chance or luck instead they won convincingly and that's why they deserve the victory,Arsenal defence were too open, their defenders played poorly so i won't fault their goal keepers for conceding three goals because the defenders who were expected to strengthen the defense were playing rubbish.

Chelsea is still on the number 9th on the table this season. Chelsea finished last season as the 11th. No Champions League, Europa or Europa Conference League for Chelsea this season. Manchester has been performing bad, but this is not new. The club will begin bad and played good later. This is what I have noticed about the club. The season has just started, let us give it some time to know what will actually happen.

Without much of sentiment I want to say Arsenal as a club have been able to transform their mentality to only winning and not settle for even a draw. We have got to a time that rival fans are now celebrating Arsenal loss because it is now unusual. Obviously this what tell that a team is going to in the right direction. I could remember during Arsen wenger, Arsenal could suffer loses in a row and you won’t see people celebrating about the lose, because Arsenal was regarded as not relevant in the challenging for the title. This is definitely a good transformation in the club and the loss is just an eye opener that you can lose to any team regardless of their position on the league and past matches.
Micheal Arteta is really doing a good job at the club I guess Arsenal fans will not have to put the blame of this loss on him, it’s was just a Bad weekend for the London club’s starting with Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal who all lost and conceded 3 goals.

And here is Arsenal’s first defeat of the season. Brighton may have been a little lucky here, because the first and second goals were both incredibly beautiful scored from outside the penalty area, once is luck, twice is skill. In any case, Arsenal were unlucky.
It’s also very strange to see Arsenal fail to score, especially considering that Brighton tend to concede goals. They conceded four against Chelsea, for example, but now this is a huge opportunity for City. If they beat Sunderland today, and I’m almost certain they will, then they will become the sole leaders in the Premier League.
Man City certainly won’t waste the opportunity to build a 3-goal lead over Arsenal by winning today’s match against Sunderland. Especially since Man City will be playing at home. And so far, Man City hasn’t disappointed at all. So I think we can indeed expect this team to earn all three points in today’s match. However, Arsenal’s loss against Brighton is truly hard to understand. did Arteta make a mistake with his strategy or did the players fail to fulfill their roles properly? what’s clear is that I feel Arsenal’s defense has become fragile. Honestly, this result is quite frustrating.

Sunderland will be going toe to toe with Mancity today in a game that will be so exciting. Mancity will be wanting to win that game because they know that Arsenal have lost theirs to Brighton, and are no longer table leaders. All City need to do now is to win their game today and go in top of that table to lead the chat. However, I doubt if Sunderland will allow them win like that because they really gave Arsenal a strong test.
Sunderland aren’t in such a great form so far this season, so I don’t see them causing much trouble for Manchester City today and Manchester City will have more determination to win this game because it’s important for them in the title race.
Liverpool faces Bournemouth today also, Bournemouth wouldn’t be an easy opponent for Liverpool but Liverpool are still favorites to win so hopefully they’re able to grab three points from this game. Manchester United also plays today against Fulham, this is a much needed win for Carrick and if he doesn’t manage to win this game then… Sunderland is a good team, so I think it’s not good to completely write them off, I was watching Sunderland at the Europa League and I must say it was a good performance and they won their game, Manchester City is going to be well prepared in this game, because Arsenal loosing to Brighton is an opportunity for Manchester City to gain some commanding advantage against Arsenal, Manchester City is the favorite to win this game on paper. Liverpool vs Bournemouth is an unpredictable game for me, Liverpool seems like a team that doesn’t have a direction now, you don’t know the game they’re going to win, the Liverpool attack needs some time to click, there is no balance in midfield, the Defense is the only place Liverpool is guaranteed, the attack would need some time and games to click, the team doesn’t look fresh, I think this game is going to end on a draw, considering that Liverpool have played more draws this season, I think Bournemouth playing in the Europa League would be a factor to consider as well. Manchester United needs to start getting results to help Carrick, if the players continue this way of loosing games and dropping points, then I think it’s going to be difficult for Carrick to keep his job, Manchester United have to do everything possible to win this game, Manchester United playing away is going to be a factor as well, so we have to consider different things before predicting on this game, Fulham drawing against Liverpool at Anfield is something to consider, however I think Manchester United is going to win this game.

Everyone is not above beating even if they are the defending champions they will be a time when things will not go as expected which what happens against Brighton and you can’t say that the win was a luck. The league is still new and everyone seems to be at is fullest now so anything can happen this time around even a small team will like to beat any team, wait till when the league is going to an end you will see who and who will make it.

Don't consider Sunderland as a troubling team because that's all in the past and they're not much different from an underdog, so actually it would even be an underrestimating feeling to Manchester City if people are considering their possibility of wining Sunderland because of the first position they want to maintain, actually without getting a motivation from anything Manchester City will definitely win Sunderland because know team has defeated them on the season so I don't believe Sunderland's to be the one. Already Manchester City has started leading Sunderland very early with a goal. Perhaps Maresca wasn't that inexperience we thought he would be.

Every game is a battle for the title and they have to put their best in every game.
He can learn something from this defeat, he certainly made a mistake, no one says no, but we still can't talk about a crisis. Of course, for the reigning champions it is quite humiliating to lose by 3 goals against a team that we consider weaker, but we should also be honest and talk about the merits of the opponent.

Chelsea can do better, forget the noise and work on areas where they are lacking. Today's attack wasn't sharp either, suffering defensively is nothing new to Chelsea. Xabi tried to amend those areas by making all players work defensively, it worked in the first half, which slowed the attack, in the second half, when it was time to attack more, it showed how poorly the defensive structure is, watching the team concede three goals in the second half alone.
It's difficult to maintain team order and balance when you have to change it just to strengthen the defense and prevent the opposition's attack from overwhelming your back line. But if you're going to set up defensively, you have to have your best wingers ready to launch a deadly counter-attack, while the forwards slow the game down when needed. This type of play is very common in South America where the success of a fast counter-attack comes down to whether you have clinical strikers. Often, full-backs are a fundamental part of this, but I think Xabi doesn't really use this type of play. His style is different, built around a well-balanced midfield, long passes, and a conservative structure. That isn't very effective in the Premier League, where football is very fast and played much more physically, and where physical conditioning is, I'd say, 70% of the battle.

Arsenal is getting cooked by Brighton lol. Brighton is finally revealing how to beat Arsenal without even conceded a goal. The relentless pressure is the key. I saw it so many times Arsenal defenders got panic, and they're losing the ball at their penalty box. It's hilarious when they mocked their rival, then they get cooked with the same score as Chelsea. It's also unbelievable to see all of Brighton players are always running non stop. Do they have unlimited stamina? The pressure makes Arsenal players often making mistakes in passing, and it cost them three points. Brighton is crazy. They play high pressure like they are not same team last season. I suppose other team will adopt the same strategy when they face Arsenal soon. Any of you guys obviously feel surprise with the result. This is the surprising part, Arsenal failing to score a single goal, same fate befell Chelsea the other day, could it this be a coincidence. Same number of goals conceded without scoring, Arsenal has better defenders but conceded 3, Chelsea has one of the best attack in the league and they couldn't score a single goal. Arsenal first defeat is a big one, of we consider the goals taken in, it might be one of those days but it's an avenue to put up a better performance in the next couple of games. From the various reactions, I think the fans of these two clubs should console themselves because they were both beaten real hard.

This is the reason why it is not good to underestimate a team even though they are championship team or league 1, but I feel Manchester city will win the game but honestly speaking this Sunderland guys are playing a good football though if Manchester city doesn't play well they will lose.

And yes, it’s shocking to see Arsenal lose 3 nil but this loss was much needed imo, Arsenal needs to know that they are not invincible. Every game is a battle for the title and they have to put their best in every game.
I think he's an Arsenal fan, because they always have this feeling that they are going retain the trophy this season. I think they were laughing at Manchester United fans a few days ago, but they couldn't find the back of the neck against Brighton yesterday. No team is above losing in football, so we shouldn't criticize any team when they lose, because it can happen to any team when you least expect it, and that's exactly what happened to Arsenal fans yesterday. Just so we are clear, Arsenal are winning the league, that’s not even a debate. Did they get a whooping? Yes, they did, and that’s normal in premier league football. It’s sad that people are talking more about Arsenal losing than actually appreciating the Brighton’s performance.
Manchester City are leading Sunderland 3-2 at halftime, so far the game has been electric and I have a feeling that Sunderland might just upset the Cityzens tonight.

Did you not watch this Sunderland team from last season? They have returned to the premier league since last season. So I never underestimated them in this match. I knew they were going to come out and play football. Manchester City might end up playing draw or even losing this game if they do not create more chance in the second half of the game. I thought the second Sunderland’s goal would be ruled offside. But it’s was awarded after The VAR was checked. if the goal was disallowed it would have given Manchester City breathing space, and dey will just be trying to hold on to the lead, but it’s now tight game for the Manchester City the way the reply to the goals come by the Sunderland team after they manage get the lead without wasting too much time.

Enzo Fernandez has finally scored his first goal for City. He took a free kick from a spot where players normally wouldn’t shoot. In my opinion, 99 out of 100 footballers would have delivered the ball into the box from that position, either with a cross or a low pass. Enzo, however, spotted the open near corner and simply curled the ball into the top corner. The Argentine scored a fantastic first goal for City.

I'm anticipating a draw here. If it happens to be a draw, I'll be well pleased. Although, my bet has already played as predicted—over 3.5. I had this feeling it will go this way; since we've been seeing 3+ goals alot this match weeki expected same from City; and a draw will make me a much happier fan Ugh....it's 4 - 3 now, what is going on

That's what I'm talking about! It's a hell of a fight between Man City and Sunderland right in Etihad Stadium. What a careless defence Man City had at home! It could have cost them enough if they were not a strong team with better firepower that could retaliate instantaneously. Regardless, kudos to Sunderland for a dramatic first half, against how people thought Man City would deal a huge blow to them easily. As it is now, I think at least one more goal will still happen, and that will likely be recorded for Man City to seal their supremacy in this match.
Oops...4-3 before I finished typing??? Impressive! What a slack in the defence of both sides.

I’m not sure anyone was expecting Enzo to take a shot at goal, it was cheeky and bold at the same time. The game is almost over with Manchester City taking the win 5-3. I have to say I’m impressed with Sunderland performance, they were not afraid of open play against one of the strongest attacking teams in PL. They were able to expose Donnarumma’s weaknesses, prior to this game I thought he was the best goalie in the league but now, I would put Raya ahead of him.

Even though Sunderland showed in the game against Arsenal, they're more than capable of causing an upset; I don't think they're going to cause a lot of trouble for Man City today [e.g., Sunderland had fewer rotations due to having a smaller squad depth in midweek], so I'm going for a Man City win [under 2.5 might also be a good bet].
Maresca has been doing well since he has become the team's head coach and I believe he will want to make good use of this opportunity to get some points ahead of arsenal so that they can maintain their top position but they need to be careful because teams like this will be motivated especially with the fact that in this week bigger teams in the premier league are defeated by medium teams in the premier League and Sunderland might be motivated to get the three points from Manchester City because they know that they need it to maintain their position at the top and most of these teams have been a serious headache to the bigger teams in the league by defeating them or getting the 3 points over them when it matters most but t regardless, I can't predict for now, even though I see Manchester City to be the favourite but anything can just happen. Manchester United will also want to win to go up the table but they are really facing Fulham, it's not going to be an easy task for them, they will have to really put efforts to win this game especially with the defeats they've had since last week in their home ground, winning this game can serve as a compensation before they go for the international break
