I know conceding three goals is what Arsenal should have avoided in the match, I don't really think people are even complaining about Arsenal losing the match, what annoys people is the three goals which they conceded in the match.

Brighton have made multiple changes during this summer transfer window and they have certainly strengthened and shown it in this start to the season, especially with the latest 3-0 win against Arsenal which was anything but a given. It is a team that I hope can continue like this and that it is not a simple false start with an excellent start that then goes downhill.
Brighton have made some incredible decisions this transfer window and this is the result of their success. I can see that they have signed a total of 11 players. This could be a long term strategy for Brighton. They have spent a lot of money on players. They have spent a total of £154m on players.

The win against Arsenal is part of that long term plan. The team will probably surprise the fans with more amazing results in the future.

Brighton as a team will do better against the top teams in the Premier League than against mid table teams or teams at the bottom of the league because against those other teams they usually tend to struggle maybe due to lack of focus than they do against bigger teams in the league whom when they play, they usually play like they are out to prove a point as they did against Arsenal. Just as they did against Arsenal, Brighton will still go on to trouble other big teams especially when they go to Brighton's home stadium to play. Bournemouth and Brentford are two other stubborn teams to play against.

Brighton is third on the Premier League table as the international break is on. It gives their coach time to settle and plan for the return and restart of the league to make sure they can maintain the good start and the position they are on the table, possible do better.

What's the guarantee Antonio will make a difference?. Sacking coaches every now and then won't solve Manchester United problem. The should look inward their major challenge might be beyond managerial roles. Since sir Ferguson left Man U had appointed 11 coaches and all have had their difficulties. It's best the board try another approach other than sacking coaches every season. Carrick has potentials and I believe there are restraints that he is struggling to manage that has keeping the team down at the moment.
At this point i don’t really know which strategy that will work for Man U because even with the regular coach changes no significant impact yet, one minute it looks like the team is picking form, the next minute they are a complete mess, am even beginning to suspect that it could be because of Sir Alex Ferguson regular appearance especially when it comes to making key team decisions, Sir Ferguson was exceptional in his days but i feel his influence in Man U might somehow be affecting the coaches, you know that there are certain key decisions that they consult him for, i feel if there is a way he could completely not be involved in certain key decisions that there might be slight changes, some coaches might still be using some of those his older tactics which might not be working in this modern football, his presence might be influencing their decisions and player choices. The team should also get some new players too, you can’t have a player like Harry Maguire in your defense and have rest of mind or expect to win matches.

Yes so many players and coaches has been tried since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and yet Manchester United hasn't been able to challenge for the Premier League title but that won't stop Manchester United not to change coach if the coach is struggling to get excellent results. To answer your question of the coach Manchester United board should hire if they relieve Micheal Carrick of his duties, Manchester United needs a coach that can command respect and world class players will be happy to work with, and such coaches are currently under contract, the coach that possesses the qualities that I just described and he's not under contract is Antonio Conte, so I want Antonio Conte to become Manchester United coach if Michael Carrick is sacked.
What's the guarantee Antonio will make a difference?. Sacking coaches every now and then won't solve Manchester United problem. Manchester united doesn't need a new coach now, they need better players. Players like Maguire, Dalot, Dorgu, Haven are not consistent players to use for title races. There is a lot of inferior players in the team and somehow, the good players are relapsing due to poor game quality. Conte might not be able to do much with the current squad, Changing coaches every now and then affects the players, they struggle to keep adapting to a new manager's strategy and that might make them decline even more. We can see from what happened to Chelsea last season.

Replacing Manchester United’s new coach at this point would only make their situation worse. Man United just needs time to fine-tune their play so they can perform well in upcoming matches. Carrick also still needs more time to address the issues within the squad. Carlos Baleba their new midfielder still has to wait to secure a solid spot in the lineup Carrick is planning. And Youri Tielemans still seems to be finding his rhythm. So I personally think that Manchester United just needs to give Michael Carrick time to handle everything. Manchester United’s last few matches haven’t been all that bad by considering they’ve still managed to earn points. And even when they lost it was by narrow margins in some of those matches. There’s still a chance for Man United to turn things around under Carrick’s management unless their performance continues to deteriorate in the coming matches in which case I’m sure talk of a new manager at Man United will only grow louder.

What happened to Arsenal is what any team playing with confidence and believe that it is over when it is not yet over, from the first half of the game it was clear that Arsenal believed within themselves that they have won the game maybe it was because of how consistent they where without know that football is filled with surprises.  On that game i will say Brighton believed it will be a very difficult day for them and came with full momentum to fight and go home with something which was why they where able to dismantle Arsenal even with the presence of all their squads.

Even Arsenal didn't expect such a resounding defeat and this undoubtedly shook them. And this is due to the fact that Arsenal have a very compact defense that generally concedes very few goals and I believe that after the double disadvantage they lost control of the match and also allowed the third goal to be conceded, taking home a resounding defeat.

They actually did not expect it, but another thing is that they would have known by now that when it comes to playing against an opponent, the number one rule should be that you don't underestimate your opponent, and Brighton understood Arsenal, and that is why they were able to defeat them, and Arteta failed in that game, and I know that they would have made adjustments for such not to happen again. Because if it should happen again, then I feel Arsenal will have a problem because most clubs will target Arsenal's weakness and use it against them, and that is what Arsenal should be avoiding now because they will be the ones to lose.

I don’t think this defeat affected Arsenal enough to throw them off course. But such a heavy loss would upset any team, especially when you’re the Premier League leaders. A big defeat is unpleasant and, most importantly for bettors, unexpected. On the other hand, it was clear from the start that the match against Brighton would be tough for Arsenal. And it seems to me that this was obvious to savvy bettors.
Since Arsenal had managed to win their first four match, everyone thought they would be able to secure point against Brighton as well. But their performance was disappointing. Despite having 57% ball possession they managed to take only six shot throughout the match. I did not see any strong desire to win match among the player. If Arteta's crew lose confidence such way then it will not be possible for them to perform well consistently.

However, Arsenal did not lose to any weak team. You know, Brighton is now top scorer in Premier League. They have scored 16 goal in 5 match. However if Gunners want to dominate Premier League and are keen on winning the title then they cannot afford to be so shaky against big team.
If they perform like this then they will certainly lose against team like City or Liverpool.

This is why the premier league is the most competitive league in the world. Bayern Munich has been dominating the Bundesliga for years, and you hardly see them lose a game by such margin, which is because the league is not that competitive. Same as PSG, the last time they lost a league game by 3 goals was in 2022, this is to tell you how less competitive their opponents are.

The premier league is full of suprises, which made me not too shocked to see Arsenal lose to Brighton. I mean, you don't expect them to dominate the premier league throughout without a defeat.

It is never easy to dominate the EPL, that's why most seasons you see a team winning the title with just 4 or 5 points, unlike others leagues.
My point is that we're forgetting that this is the premier league and anything is possible, so there is no need to be suprised by any result.

I don't think Arsenal underestimated Brighton, because Brighton have started the season very well. They had already demonstrated their strength, and the potency of their attack, in their previous matches, that is why I believe Arteta took this game very seriously. However, as it turned out, it was just an unlucky day for Arsenal, while Brighton managed to score two incredible long range goals, that is why Arsenal lost.

I agree with, Premier league is the most competitive league in the world, no one can argue about it but you can not bring Bayern Munich and PSG as an example, because Manchester City has dominate the Premier League with Pep Guardian, winning the league four times in a row that no any manager has done it, the same thing happen in La Liga when Barcelona is dominating the league, I think the reason why you use Bayern Munich and PSG as an example is because they don’t have teams that can compete with them.

The reason why i see Premier League as the most competitive league in the world is because all the clubs have good players and small clubs can defeat a big club, all the clubs have the right to sign player they want if they can afford the player, many Premier League clubs have money to sign players, not like La Liga, Bundesliga and League One that small clubs can not sign players the way they want all because of financial rules.

Brighton understood the fact that Arsenal were very protective of their box 18, so they didn't attempt much to penetrate, rather they accurately hit it twice from outside the box and scored. It was a good strategy. Arsenal's confidence dropped massively after the second goal which was before halftime. I expected them to get back in the game in the second half, but they couldn't. I think Brighton took away the fight in them that very day and the Arsenal which we knew that don't concede much goals were dealt 3 goals without response.
Yes, obviously the Arsenal defence looks really solid and compact, it’s always not easy to run through such kind of Great Wall, the Brighton boys knew that, and the only way they could stand a chance in that game was to keep trying to shoot from outside the 18 yard box, which really helped them to score two of their goals from the outside the box.
I also think every other team that will be playing against Arsenal henceforth will try to test the keeper from that range also, if it later be that David raya isn’t good at shoot from distance, it will the beginning of their problems and they will start conceding more goals per game as compared to now.

For real you're making sense about their consistency in the last 5 matches and I'll also agree with len01 that we can't right off the matches they've won cause we're not sure they could be that consistent in future, the future would speak for itself but they deserve praise for their success rate currently.
City winning the league this season is your opinion and i respect it but I'm not very confident on them yet despite the good form and consistency, if they can keep it up for a very long time then i might suppprt that they'll win it, remember that the league isn't won with few games but the complete 38 matches.
I think you're right by all you've said concerning Manchester City, Enzo Maresca have shown how serious he's and winning 5 matches without losing any or a single draw and we have to congratulate them for their good performance so far. I agreed with you not being sure if Manchester City will win the league, at this time no one need to conclude that they'll win the league because the league just starting and even if they play 19 matches at of 38 and win all they don't still win the league because they most complete all the matches first before they'll be crown champion. Anyone who believe man city have win the league just because they won their 5 matches without losing is making a mistake, this is football and is very hard to predict who will be the winner.

I really don't think that Arsenal underestimated Brighton in that game, because Brighton has started the season very well and they are also a one of the few teams in the premier league that can cause a lot of problem for any team on their good day, so I am very sure that Arteta will be aware of what they are capable of doing, so he will not underestimate such a team. I think that Brighton had a very good tactics and Arteta has no answer for them, because they did not just win the game, but they outplayed them in all department of the game. I also think one of the major problem that Arsenal had on that day was they were not able to beat Brighton's press. I believe Arteta has learnt from this and he will definitely find a way to solve this kind of issues next time.

The lost against Brighton wasn't any form of understimation from Gunners, the goals conceded were proof, rather than saying Brighton was underestimated, it would be better stated that Brighton found Gunners weakness in that game and capitalise effectively to steal all three points.

I'm not even speaking of the fact that no top team would want to take Brighton casually.

Arteta must have made some mistakes here, which is why they were beaten so badly. Brighton have already beaten Manchester United, Aston Villa and Arsenal this season. When Brighton found success against Manchester United and Aston Villa, Arteta should have been careful. Arteta needed to be better prepared to get three points against them, but it is clear that Arteta lacked preparation. He must have learned from this match, but I think such a defeat was necessary.

When ever the weakness of a team is identified scoring and winning them becomes very easy for the team that found that simple weakness.  I am glad one person understood what happened in that arsenal Brighton game. The winning Brighton secured was basically because they knew Arsenal's weakness and not because arsenal underestimated their performance on that game, if it where to be because arsenal  underestimated them why then didn't arsenal get back on track when they noticed what their mistake is causing for them on the long run.

Hmm for those teams to lose by such margins it's by connection, so I don't expect such from them, but the English premier league will always tell you no Man is an island, if you lose your grips you will definitely feel it hot no doubt, I believe that lost will sound as a great warning to Manchester City because no team is an island in the English premier league, it must definitely come to their turn, but I believe before that they might has gathered enough points to sustain them through those times.

Liverpool always has an advantage playing at home, but their opponent is Manchester City, and we all know how strong Manchester City are. Moreover, they've had a very good start to the season. Despite having a new manager, the team continues to play successfully. The match against Liverpool will be one of their toughest tests. While many see Manchester City as the favorite, we shouldn't forget that Liverpool are playing at home. Therefore, I think Liverpool have a chance to win.
I think Liverpool’s players may be more focused on this upcoming match against City because their next Champions League opponent is easier than City’s. Liverpool will be playing LASK, while City have to prepare for a Champions League match against PSG. So I’m not expecting many goals in this game, if City do win, I think it will be by a narrow margin.
It’s quite interesting to see your analysis because these are things which will play out for both teams. Liverpool will love to win against Manchester City not only for winning sake but also for them to write a statement about their wins which will show they have displayed capacity to have won a strong team like the Manchester City club. Because winning Manchester City is not an easy task this period. But it will also give them a three solid points and a raise in the table standing. Any club meeting then the next such as LASK will already be scared of them having proven their capacity to have won a team like Manchester City in the previous match. When they eventually lose the game, they may also have to quickly move on else they may also lose to the next club as well. But I think they are at an advantage knowing fully well Manchester City will still have to face PSG after tmeeting them which posses more dangerous for them if they should overuse their players in the previous match against Liverpool so everything just looks tricky in the end.

This two leagues can not be compared to Premier league at all. Bayern Munich is built to dominate Bundesliga automatically because the financial and structural gap between them and the rest of the clubs is too large. The same thing applied to PSG in Ligue 1. But I have seen PSG suffer a similar defeat in recent times. The story is different in Premier League because virtually every club is a big club in the league. More than half of the clubs participating in the league have almost the same squad depth that compete head to head equally.

I think it is actually still too early to hand anyone the title although Man City have started this season strongly and deserve credit, but the season still has a long way to go and Arsenal is also looking like a serious contender so I think the main thing will be who stay consistency when injuries and pressure start coming in and yes they have 5 wins is and it’s actually good start, but it has not guarantee anything yet.
