I didnt expect this from Nottingham forest that they would win this match at all. They were clearly better today then Man City and really deserved this win and these are huge points in the battle for survival for them. Man City lost some crucial points in the fight for the title and this goes well for Arsenal because they won against Hull.

This was the most surprising game I watched today, before Nottingham were at the bottom of the table before this match, and this happens to be their second win in the Premier league since the start of the season. Nobody could predict that this was how this game was going to end, they played with every determination and secured themselves the win.

Man city now sits with three consecutive losses in a row, the first since the beginning of the season. Maresca needs to find the missing piece in his squad before it gets even worse than it is, I hope Man City gets the revival they need alongside United too.

Even till now I still cannot believe the game have ended in favour of Nottingham Forest not to talk of going with a 3 to 1 goal victory the way it ended.  Nottingham Forest have had a very poor performance since e the start of the season but came with great consistency that surprised all and gave them one of the best victory of the season.
I think the fault came from Manchester City,  from how the game started It is clear that they underestimated the performance of Nottingham Forest and believed possession can give a victory which was why Nottingham forest where able to capitalise on their weaknesses to secure a sweet victory on the game.

No one expected Manchester City to be beaten by Nottingham Forest with a score of 3-1. It was quite surprising because Nottingham Forest wasn't in a great position either, and in terms of squad depth, Manchester City is far better than them. But with only 21% possession, Nottingham Forest was much stronger and managed to counter Manchester City's attacks. 
All the Manchester City players seemed to have forgotten how to play football. They were just passing here and there without being able to make any effective attacks. With almost all players rated orange, Manchester City was totally set up to lose this match.

The result of this match reminds me of the Liverpool - Nottingham Forest match from last season, Liverpool also fell victim to Nottingham Forest back then & to make matters worse, it was a home match for Liverpool. I think the reason Nottingham Forest managed to achieve a result like this is the pressure they were under. Before the match, they were in the relegation zone, which made them realize they had to win. As it turns out, they're now out of the relegation zone, at least for the time being.

I did not expect Nottingham Forest to pick up a win against Manchester City, after Manchester City lost to Aston Villa and Brighton i was expecting them to defeat Nottingham Forest and maintain the same point with Arsenal after Arsenal narrowly won Hull City 1:0 but Manchester City fell in the hands of Nottingham Forest, making Manchester City to lose three consecutive matches in a row. Arsenal is now leading Manchester City with three points, and with the current performance of Manchester City, Arsenal could increase the point gap between them and Arsenal to the point it will be difficult for Manchester City to challenge for the Premier League title.

Honestly so many people rely surprised with the poor results of Manchester City against Nottingham forest all their expectations have come down with the worst result, so Manchester City can even win Nottingham forest also after lost their previous match. This how I want the premier league should be moving when Manchester City are losing Arsenal should be winning, the best for Arsenal now is to maintain their consistency because is the best key to success. I know that if Arsenal can continue in this way there’s not any team that can challenge in the top of the league.

When I saw the odds that were given to Manchester City from an away side when playing against Nottingham Forest, it was a little unsettling, I already expected a difficult game but one that I thought Manchester City would emerge the victor.

Then, the referee kicked off the game and in 6 minutes, Cunha gets Nottingham Forest their first goal from a defensive error. Then came the Delap moment, running all the way from his half of the pitch, right into the Manchester City goalkeeper’s box and nets a goal. Cherki gets City their consolation goal and once again, Delap increases Nottingham Forest’s lead with a third goal. He didn’t do all these while at Chelsea, when did he become this good!

There's a track record of Manchester City not finding it easy playing against Nottingham forest,  they have been one supposed weak team that gives Manchester City some tough time over a long time now, and it happened that in the past few games, Nottingham hasn't gotten victory and this appeared like a chance for them, so they ceased every opportunity with it to get that victory,  congratulations to them on getting three points and gradually shifting away from the red zone on the table.  Although many of us didn't expect this from them as a team, its sad this happens to be their today reality,  Manchester City couldn't get a draw at least and secure a point,  I will only stay optimistic about them but Nottingham is must say did well in this.

Its a sad day for Manchester city and their fans, i was kind of getting convinced that Man city would make a great come back after their early goal in the second  half but just tens of minutes later, Nottingham forest scored what was their third goal in the match, and i think this goal is what further destabilized the man city players, watch how they dropped in performance after that goal.
I don't know exactly what to say might or may have lead man city to loosing against Nottingham forest today but i think they weren't simply unlucky, maybe they underestimated their opponent and didn't prepare adequately for the match, they must have judged Nottingham forest from their position in the league table and thought they would be easy to defeat.

I was quite surprised with Nottingham Forest performance in that match, I never knew they had what it takes to beat Manchester City.  I'm sure people are still shocked by the way the match ended, because nobody expected it. I was even thinking Manchester City could equalize the goal and make the match a draw or probably win the match like Manchester United did in their recent match against AS Roma.  IMO, Manchester City should simply take responsibility for this defeat rather than blaming it on bad luck.

Sweet victory to say after having played up to five matches without a win, and they are winning their match against a team that many doubt they will beat.

Manchester City is likely to lose their second-place spot in the Premier League table by tomorrow if Brighton win their match against Brentford. Manchester City did not in any way see it coming that they would have a loss against a team like Nottm Forest that had a win match since the start of the season

Well, technically Arsenal are the reigning champions, so there is no need to hand the title over to anyone. But the fact that City have now lost three matches in a row and are already six points behind Arsenal is certainly a huge setback for them. On the other hand, I assume they realise that they could face a significant points deduction for breaching the Premier League's financial rules. They might feel that their chances of winning the title this season are already gone, so perhaps they want to focus their efforts on the Champions League instead. I don't know, but they certainly weren't any worse than Nottingham Forest today.

That’s why I have oftentimes say it will be too early for people to start predicting who will be the title holder of this years because tables can still change at any moment especially during the first phase of the season. Imagine after leading for a while , many thought it was going to take a long while before the first spot will be taken from Manchester City but when Arsenal became a bit more dedicated they were able to achieve such heights within short period and still lead with 6 points ahead goes to show nobody is really guaranteed yet when it comes to Premier League but if it was the likes of Bundesliga or La Liga aside from Real Madrid and Barca.

You can imagine the disappointment when they played against Brighton last week; that must have ruined a lot of tickets. I strongly agree with what you just said above, because it is obvous that Maresca's playing tactic have been exposed, and likely he really need to focus more on players who performing better, than starting each match with his favourite players even when they berely perform exceedingly well on each game. Because todays game will be making it the third straight Premier League match that Manchester City have lost while playing from both home and away. And if they fail to work on their pattern of playing they may end up losing the 2nd place on the league table, as Arsenal is already leading with more than 6 points.

I can only imagine the excitement felt by the Hull City players, the fans, and the club  they are playing one of their biggest matches in the Premier League, facing off against last season’s champions. Just think about how they might celebrate if they manage to come away with at least a draw. In these early stages of the match, Hull City hasn’t made any mistakes so far.

The first half is nearing its end, and there’s still no score that’s a positive for Hull City.

Knowing I was going crazy, I bet on Hull to win CIty, obviously I lost, but Arsenal still struggled to win this match, only managing to score a goal in the second half.

Maresca's tactics are very similar to the approach Guardiola used. And yesterday, Nottingham Forest beat Manchester City in terms of pace and intensity. I remember when City went through a crisis under Guardiola, their players looked very sluggish on the pitch, I would say I saw almost exactly the same thing yesterday. Of course City didn't play nearly as badly as the 3-1 scoreline might suggest, but losing three consecutive Premier League matches clearly indicates that something is wrong with their mentality and approach to this competition.

Did they play Manchester city already? I thought it was Chelsea and Manchester United,  well I don't know and I'm too lazy to check. They won anyways, this one describes the Champions of the Premier League Competition for a reason. Pep Guardiola used whatever way he cam to win the Premier League, the same with Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho in the past. Nothing is wrong with Mikel Arteta doing the same thing.
Most disappointing although I expected was Manchester city, they also struggled during the midweek Champions league fixtures, I suspected Enzo Maresca would face the same fate against Glasner Oliver.

I remember that a few days before the match, City's odds were around 1.6. Then, about an hour before kick-off, they increased to 1.72. To me, that was quite a big increase for a team expected to win comfortably. The odds movement itself was already suspicious, but football fans believed that a top team like City wouldn't allow themselves to lose several games in a row.

Another indication was Nottingham's position in the relegation zone. That could actually have given them extra motivation to fight for all three points. So, City's defeat might have seemed unbelievable, but sometimes even a weaker team can become much stronger when playing at home with so much motivation.

No one expect Manchester City to lose to Nottingham Forest but it has already happened and that is football, Manchester City have been poor since last season before Pep Guardiola left and we can see that the team still need to be rebuild even if they sign many players that cause them millions, Pep Guardiola knows that the team is falling that is why he left after last season. Enzo Maresca need a lot of things to do, if not many players will want to leave the club.

Manchester City have a good squad but they are not good when it comes to defending, anyone that knows Manchester City knows that the team don’t have good defenders, the defenders are making mistakes that lead to goals, i don’t see Manchester City win the league this season because their performance is not good to win a trophy.

The way their odd was increasing yesterday was actually a way of telling people the game might  not end in favor of Manchester city yet I still played Manchester city to win any of the half because I thought even if they will lose, they would not lose both half but they could not win first half nor second half despite all their possession and attempts. Arsenal result was supposed to motivate them to step up but clearly it doesn't, soon Brighton will pass them  by then they will be struggling to climb two teams which may not be that easy or possible.
