Bitstams should be the safiest way, usualy takes a few days to withdrawal.
I can't get a strait number, what is the new fee for withdrawing USD/CAD after exchanging BTC for usd or cad?
This would be a cool way to avoid fees, but isint this the exact antagonist of "safe and reliable"?
Cavirtex works... but yah $6 fee seems enormous for $20 worth at a time, so I save up, and do larger cashouts. Usually they take about 3 days, well the banking system does.
If you have a credit card you might want to look into BTC-e.com's new deally, they will send USD to international Mastercard or Visa for 5% fee. (Then your CC company does the exchange to CAD)
Where are you? Toronto and Vancouver have a lively bitcoin "scene" and IRL sells through localbitcoins should be fast and easy.
Also, look on meetup.com for local bitcoin meetups. Turning up with 5 BTC and hoping to sell it then and there would be optimistic, but amounts under $100 worth you might find people have ready cash for.
Hell I'd offer to buy it if it turned out you were near me, but you sound in a hurry and I'm "out of funds" for about a week.
Even if i "saved up" for a month, 6$ would be huge, as i only intend to put back a small portion of my BTC income back into my bank account. Most of it is used to pay for games and i'm looking into how an amazon gift card would work.
So anyways, if after quite a while i saved up 100$ worth of BTC, it'd still be 6% fee, seem high to me.
I'm not in a hurry, but i'm looking for a trusted site with a small% fee like 2% or so.
I'll have to check if my CC can accept transfers. 5% seem high but its definitively better than a flat 6$ fee.
I live in Québec.
