I think the main hype for "fast" investment in crypto have passed a long time ago (during ico and ieo). Now in defi there's some hype but still it's not the same like 3 years ago.

By "fast investment" I believe you mean investing for quick gains, actually some people still invest for quick profit especially day traders, and it works for some. The most important thing is to make profit when it comes to altcoins, and convert profit to BTC in my opinion because most altcoins will fail in the long run, just few with real use cases and resilient team will stay for so long. Price action traders who are pro in technical analysis do invest for quick profit, it doesn't make any difference. Sometimes you still hold long term and at the end you lose, sometimes its favorable.

Agree with u, I prefer to invest into long term interested defi projects . For example just read about new one stablecoin exchange xsigma. They based on curve exchange and backed by a public company so I'm willing to go in

Do not invest on DeFi projects that are just DeFi, make sure the DeFi project you pick has better utilities,  ChainLink for example has Oracle to offer, few new DeFi projects I see lately are just using DeFi

These are good examples of real use cases and these projects aren't here to take advantage of DeFi hype but to actually deliver real utilities, there are more good DEFi projects out there  e.g Synthetix and Oikos Cash , do good research and avoid investing blindly for quick gains, thank you

When the defi trend was at its peak in august-september this year I have seen many new projects adding defi in their names just to get the attention and raise big funds, im talking about projects that do not fall under defi but somehow after they saw the big trend went a bit too far to fall in defi just to take advantage. So as an investor we should be vigilant and avoid low quality projects.

I agree that not all DeFi projects are bad, there are several DeFi projects that do offer something people need.
Like the DeFi coins mentioned by the opening post, it does have real utilities and doesn't just provide quick gains.
So don't say DeFi projects are worthless, because in fact there are still many DeFi projects that are worth buying.

There are different reasons to invest in crypto currency, different choices by different individuals; so it doesnt matter if it is a quick gain or a long term gain. The most important term is the gain (profit). As a trader; do you see yourself as greedy if you pick early gains; and walk off a trade; also, do not see your self careless if you choose to wait long term. Short gains, long term profits are all part of crypto currency. 

Yes. It does not matter if you are gaining profits from long term or quick gains as long as the project is legit enought and has real uses in life that make it worth investing. But be careful with those Defi projects nowadays that come out from the market because some of them are scams although others are also good enough for investment. DYOR first in every investment we want to make.

Not some of them are some but most of them are.. Just like into those old ICO days where this market had been flooded out by shit projects.
Its true that it doesnt matter if you do pick with early or late gains because what matter most is that you do able to make profits and thats the primary target or goal.
Profitability will vary on how you do research up things even though it might not be precise from time to time but at least you are risking into something
which you do seem worth for you to invest on.We cant just sometime not able to avoid on expecting or anticipating too much about gaining profits.

You are right as long the as project is new  and if possible they can take all the profit out of it before shifting into a new defi project where they would do the same thing and that makes the project more vulnerable from whales that is why many start up defi projects innovate and implement some features where whales are not going  to exploits or manipulate the market price, one of those the Speculative or Priceless AMM where it contains the price volatility of a certain coin.

Some of the projects may have real use cases. But how much acceptability they are able to gain is very important. Also, we need to check the ability of the developers, to resolve security issues and bugs. Having a real use alone won't make the project a successful one. Another important aspect is the availability on major exchanges such as Binance and Huobi, which can result in an increase in daily trade volumes.

Basically every hype that occurs in crypto is not the same, be it ICO, IEO or DeFi, because every year the market conditions are always different in terms of demand and supply, so that differences will always occur every year.

I must appreciate your work regarding Defi projects one should follow these to be safer side, on the contrary, I see many new projects with very limited supply are enticing the investors with huge gain just because of low supply of coins and honestly speaking most of consider us it can give us good profit in short term. Even it's very risky to invest in such projects that have no real use just a low and limited supply.

When it comes to new altcoins I prefer making profits and exit them instantly for another project, I can only keep investing in top altcoins and bitcoin only, I've never get comfortable with new altcoins, it's true that they are more profitable but many I watched in few years past are all down today, I doubt they will ever recovers, look how bad majority of DeFi projects are today, too many turned scam

Basically every hype that occurs in crypto is not the same, be it ICO, IEO or DeFi, because every year the market conditions are always different in terms of demand and supply, so that differences will always occur every year.

That depends on what kind of innovation has been rolling out to the market. I should remind you that if people in crypto were taking the crowdfunding market as a place to speculate and create a bunch of money from there.
People will always try to invest for the short term profit only. In fact, if this is always happening so many times.
The hype is still the same as a few years ago. There's a lot of projects that has got a very big increase instanly.

Please go to all projects if you think it is the best, but you also have to know about the risks, because if you don't fully understand this, then big losses will always meet you every year.

most seasoned investors here chew on a project before investing in it because they realize that nothing in the industry is so certain as to be doubted. So, if you want to invest in defi then consider hundreds of times before getting caught up in the hype defi.

If you dare to take risks, you can make Defi a short-term investment, but always be vigilant because there are so many frauds in the Defi project. It is important for you to be able to manage your finances properly and pursue profits before getting caught up in the hype defi.

why dont ? some people do invest for get profit regardless it fast or slow.
i know some coin will gain more higher if you wait it for long time above 1 years.
but there are many typical investor who have set they target.
