Asking For A Pardon - Banned for Plagerism 2 Years Ago

I stupidly copied another user's comment for an airdrop two years ago.  Aside from that isolated incidence, I was a good poster, contributed to the Bitcointalk community and always tried to help users take extra measures to keep their wallets secure. I would like to continue contributing to the Bitcointalk forum under my main account.  I apologize (and am embarrassed) for my past plagiarism and ask if I may be granted a second chance to have my account unlocked.

From seeing your last activities, it does not seem to show any quality, you posted more frequent on airdrop threads and social bounty campaigns.
I don't really think that mods will give you another change for that, really.

This coin was distributed in a large series of airdrops over the course of months back in 2017.  To participate, it was mandatory to include DO as your signature.  There was, for a short period of time, a lot of DeepOnion supporters that decided to promote the coin in their posts on this forum.  It was never mandatory nor encouraged but people did it anyways.  Many people not involved in the project were understandably annoyed by this, heck I was and I've been following DeepOnion since the beginning.  This attracted a lot haters that wrongfully disparaged this project.  I'm not against people voicing their opposition but the proof is in the pudding that the fudders were wrong on this one.  Over the course of the past 3-years this project has proved its not some fly-by-night scam coin.  It's still here, its still developing and both the fanactical supporters and fudders have toned it down.  We'll see what happens next.

You can present your case why you think you should be un-banned. Some users were lucky and got a 2nd chance, but it is very rare. You should have received an email address that you can email and appeal for pardon. Have you tried appealing via that email?

Don't give advice that's against the rules of the forum in a thread that's about someone breaking forum rules.  Sound good?  If OP is banned, he's not free to create another account to "start again" with, just so you (and OP) know.

If all OP was doing was bounties and such, I highly doubt he's going to get his account unbanned.  Theymos has been in a pretty forgiving mood, but members that get a second chance after a permaban are usually those members who've been valuable to the forum.  Bounty hunters are not--I looked at the posts that I could in OP's history, and they were very good in 2017-18, and then I can't even view them because I have whatever sections he posted in blocked.  That usually indicates that a member posts in Altcoin Discussion mainly.

Anyway, maybe you'll get a second shot OP, but until then don't post outside of this or any other appeal thread or with any other account.  Good luck.

A bit harsh but there is some truth to what you say.  If given another chance I'm committed to only post quality content.  I have no interest in airdrops / bounty campaigns and just want to be open that I created another account.  If I'm posting on this forum I'm going to do it the right way and if its not allowed then I will just go back to lurking like i have done for the past 2 years now.

With a glance at the first page of your post history, I am sure you did not contribute any good positive net-effects on the forum before your ban. There is no second chance for you, I am sorry to let you know that fact.

Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.

You do neither have to do anything since your ban appeal creation nor prove your contribution (your post history and your merit history are evidence of your contribution).

I am not staff and not in the position to judge your post history's quality and your contribution and it is my thoughts only.

I'm going to disagree with your disagreement. Your post history is full of meaningless one-liners in spam megathreads, shitcoin ladder bumps, and bounty reports. I don't think your contributions are needed here.

Kept the conversation going? If you mean bumping a thread or flooding the thread with spam then you are doing a good job. But if you mean actually conversing with people to the topic at hand I see no evidence that this is going on as you don't even reply back to the topics here. Your post history is filled up with trash or updates in the bounty campaigns you are participating in and that's a general summary of your post history. I don't see how this can be counted as a "contribution" to the forum when you aren't really contributing in the forum at all.

I've got no interest in arguing with anyone so I'm just going to ignore the nonconstructive feedback.  If you don't want to help me then I ask that you just leave me be and let the mods make a ruling. 

I'll address one issue because its drawn a lot of attention.  I went through a phase where I did a lot of bounties.  That activity was done in the proper forum and was completely acceptable at the time.  Do I regret it?  No.  Will I apologize for it?  No.  Do I plan on doing them again?  No.  I'm not asking for my account back to do bounties because frankly I don't have any interest in bounties and, even if I did, I wouldn't need my account to do them.  I simply want to participate in discussions on the few cryptos I'm interested in [BTC, ETH, ADA, ONION] and I want to do it the right way or not do it at all.

You're just a plagiarising shitposter like thousands of others. According to the unofficial rules you need to be at least a plagiarising account buyer or ICO-bumping account farmer to deserve a pardon.

It is also guide as a warn for every user that we have to abide to the rules imposed in this forum. Because regrets are always at the end. The forum is strongly prohibited plagiarism and spamming. It will give us a banned consequence for the entire life. If you want to work and share in this forum, try to make a new but I think it will lead to a ban evasion. It just a lesson for all of us that we should not play against the rule. Even we don`t want the condition for you OP still we can`t do about it anymore. Let see what moderators can do to your banned account sir.

It so sad to read posts like this. The mods decision is only fair to all. Permban appeals had never granted of lifting the ban. It has been two years so I guess that is enough time to accept and move on.

That would be alright OP to learn from mistake. No one is perfect by the way but the Mods here are only just doing their job. No one can decide to lift your ban except theymos since he is the one managing the forum.

Lifting the ban is almost impossible to happen. I guess you need to close this issue regarding with your ban and join other cryptocurrency forum. You can do a quick search in google for this.However, Bitcointalk forum is the only forum created by Satoshi for cryptocurrency discussion and way better compared to other forum.

No @99.99% guarantee. In very rare case, plagiarist has not been banned or have been banned for displaying signature only. I can not see anything good on your profile, you are no special person, you are not who contributed to the forum a lot. So, forget about writing in this forum anymore.

Sometime i think that Plagiarism ban maybe lifted after 1 or 2 years because it will be a good period for anyone to learn from his mistake. People do change for good. That's a suggestion and not related to the OP post here.
