Me and a few more have this privilege to know when they will hit the Legendary rank.
Legendary rank needs a random value from 775 to 1030 in activity status.

Assuming a maximum of 14 activity every 2 weeks we can calculate:
(Activity max-Activity min)/14=(1030-775)/14=18.2 resets.

Since we can't have a decimal value for obvious reasons we get 19 chances to hit the rank up.

100/19=5.2%

Only 5% of Legendary knows when they will rank up on the last reset

Well you can make it more interesting. Delete few hundreds post from the beginning and your activities will lower again and you will not fear for becoming the highest ranked user :-P

What are you paranoid about?  If anything I'd have ants in my pants waiting for the next activity period if I were you--imagine if Theymos upped the activity requirement to rank up before next Tuesday.  You'd be pulling your hair out!

Just as an aside, something similar almost happened to me before I hit Legendary in January 2018.  Yeah, I almost ran up against the 100-meter, reinforced concrete wall of the merit system before ranking up by about two weeks (if I recall correctly; it's been a while).  Other members weren't so lucky.  Hero members got 500 airdropped merits but still had to earn 500 more to hit Legendary, assuming they had the activity requirement met.  OP, you might know that already but that's a little history lesson for the members who haven't been here long.  It was like a different world back then, before Jan. 2018.

I'd pre-emptively congratulate you, but I don't want to jinx anything.

Well, technically people with activity on the 1st period between 775 and 777 can be more unlucky since they can rank up with 20 periods, not my case tho.

Are you sure that you will be ranked up even if you reach 1030+ activity? What if something goes wrong here?

I remember, also waited for the maximum activity to catch Legendary rank. Just don't forget to post in your last Hero weeks

I am happy you will be a legendary within the next two weeks. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that nothing is impossible, so who knows what will happen at the next activity period (I kid, I kid).

There is somewhat of an argument that people with very high merit should have lessor activity requirements to rank up. Maybe once a user has 110% of the merit required to rank up (excluding any merit they had 'grandfathered'), 1/2 of additional merit they receive could go towards required activity, up to a limit. This could be an additional reward for those of us who are stong contributors to the forum community.

 That would have been the funniest dick move I've seen in a while.
I still don't get why nobody pointed out the changes that theymos announced after the last DT change. I imagine it didn't stir up to much drama as it only affected Hero/Legendary
Not like the sounds of a million voices being snuffed out all at once, when it affected newbies.

One way to find out is deleting a couple thousand posts

How it's 8 different possibilities? I see:
1. He is going to have 1022+14 in the next period, and he become the Legendary (1030+)
2. Delete minimum 7 posts from the beginning to make sure they were already added in the activity counts. So in the next round he will have 1022-7+14 which will possibly still keep him in Hero :-D
3. We can keep reporting his early posts to ensure minimum 14 gets deleted in each round :-P
4. Someday the system will get tired and will award him the rank eventually without having 1030 activities.

Assuming coinlocket$ makes at-least one post in each round.
