I'll take the second option, investing half of your capital in BTC and half in GOLD. this will benefit you. at least you have collateral on gold assets because every year the price of gold increases. whereas with BTC whenever it is unexpected, you can even get bigger profits than BTC.

It is a correct decision, people cannot know what the future of bitcoin is, but everyone is quite sure about the future and stability of gold.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, so splitting up your investments is a correct decision.

I'll definitely loved to have both investment half in crypto and half in Gold. We all know how precious investment gold is since long time ago and its not degrade its value. But of course i couldn't resist also the precious investment in cryptocurrency amd i believe that time will come for a cryptocurrency to soar high and become popular in near future. Hoping for a crypto soon to be in a peak value and also hoping for all of us to earned like what we earn this past years.

Everyone in this forum loves and has faith that the cryptocurrency will have a great development in the future. However, for a large amount of capital, investors should have plans to prevent the most risky cases. Diversifying investments will be the right tactic for investors.

If I have to choose between Gold & Bitcoin for investment, I will choose Bitcoin instead of gold. However, I'm not underestimating Gold but I think Bitcoin's future is much more promising than Gold's. In the coming days, the price of Bitcoin will increase very quickly, but the Gold price will not increase at the same rate. So I think Bitcoin is a better choice in this case.

 Everyone said when I was younger that the older I get the more conservative I would become. Now that was politically and people assumed I would vote more right and not left but that didn't happened, I am still quite left when I vote. However it did become a bit more conservative when it comes to investments. For example 5-6 years ago when bitcoin was starting new, I really saw that as an opportunity, and I did my investment a ton and did made some money, by no means I made enough to get rich but I made enough to survive and live with that, which is good enough for me, thought of it as a salary and didn't get rich but helped me not be poor as well. However these days I am looking at gold a bit more, I am considering gold investment more and more the older I get, it is not luxurious or it won't made me rich, however it could totally help me store the value of my wealth.

For me bitcoin is more exciting investment than gold, because bitcoin can rise up high in a very short period of time without a prior notice or even the most experienced person will never know when it happen so that goes very exciting. While in gold very slow moving price we need to wait for a very long time to earn from our investment so i think bitcoin more great than gold.

actually both are very good for investing, because maybe many people have different perceptions and we know that, to remember that gold has long been used as an investment before it became crowded with crypto, because gold has its own prestige for some people that is a measure of prosperity. but with the existence of crypto, it is clear that many who are forward-thinking prefer crypto but those who still like gold also remain, so they have their own share.

Crypto can be profitable quite significantly, but if we are impatient and quickly panic it can also make us lose big, not for gold with an increase in value that is not high but has no big loss. So everyone will have different perceptions and so far both are still the best investments.

Anyway my answer is Bitcoin. Gold price does not change big time compared to Bitcoin. Also, we are still in the early stage when we look at the big picture for Bitcoin. That there are still a lot of rooms for Bitcoin to grow. Unlike gold, where gold is gold and it is only use for jewelry or to something to make valuable. Note: I don't know much about gold really.

Why not both then? If you are seeking for profit, then there is no fucking reason to choose one over another. You said you have great amount of money to invest and just please diversify your money to these 2 assets:
1. Bitcoin is for HODL and you can sell it once you feel enough with your profit, of course the risk is really high because crypto is really volatile.
2. Gold is for your finance backup incase something bad happens and it's relatively safe to store your money into Gold.

You should go with both. Gold demand is much higher than Bitcoin, so many people don't know about Bitcoin. You are lucky because of the huge amount of money. You know about the Bitcoin future. You can invest a little portion of your huge money in Bitcoin. I can predict that in 1 year you will earn more profits than gold investment.

Gold is everywhere in the world and is well popular to people than bitcoin, which bitcoin is not everywhere in the world.
Gold don't too have a big risk like bitcoin which if you are not careful you will be scam and reduce your investment to zero level.

I guess that will be easy to decide. But first, I want to know how much money you have. If you have $100k, I suggest you invest in both gold and bitcoin. Right now, gold moves seem very good, and I think that can be your long term investment as the material of gold will not infinite. And then you can invest in bitcoin for your second long term investment. After that, you should leave the market and don't take a look at it because the market can make you become confused to see the price fluctuate.

Both gold and bitcoin will have the risk, and you should know how to prevent the big risk. If you can minimize the risk, then that will not be a problem for you since you want to have a long term investment.

Why trying to figure out which one is better ? Go for both instead, we can't do without bitcoin and gold because they are very useful and profitable too, even some gold investors are advising people to go fully into Bitcoin but if you can't find a good reason for yourself then split your money into two and invest in gold and Bitcoin
