Personally, I feel the newbie category having zero (0) merit should be taken off the criteria as they seem to use the opportunity to spam the thread. Despite the fact that, almost all their posts are based on bounty reports and proof of Authentication.

If you did have merits like 240+ above which is nearly to rank up to sr. member so ratimov didn't send you merit. It's better you should increase your merit then join here again then i'm sure you'll be eligible to participate.

At the start of this thread, I already told to Ratimov I want to join this event but at that time I didn't submit because I'm just recently rank up to Full member, I drop my application because I'm too close to the next rank achievement.
