At the start of this thread, I already told to Ratimov I want to join this event but at that time I didn't submit because I'm just recently rank up to Full member, I drop my application because I'm too close to the next rank achievement.

Sooner, I'll join too since i'm almost at the minimum merit required which is 244 to 249. At this moment, I'm at 236 merits. You can help. others too as I have help other users in my merit giveaway before.

Personally, I feel the newbie category having zero (0) merit should be taken off the criteria as they seem to use the opportunity to spam the thread. Despite the fact that, almost all their posts are based on bounty reports and proof of Authentication.

Does that mean I can't get a new rank now?

Sana all LOL, congratulations it seems that you are now rank to sr. member you can apply now on open spot that other projects has been offer with higher pays compared to the project you have now. Just go directly in this page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 and apply the project to which you think suits you if you will going to join. Finally the achievement you made is not easy especially in earning merits.

I think so too. Getting a single merit to rank up won't cost anyone much stress if they set their mind to it. Yesterday or so, I merited a user with 16 posts and 15 activities but zero merit because I found their comment in tune with my position on a thread I opened. Surprisingly, when I went back to check how that thread was doing today I discovered that the user's comment had been deleted. Thinking the post could've been taken down by a mod, I went to the user's profile to confirm. I was shocked to discover that all posts by the user were wiped off (of course, by the user). What the heck was that, I asked myself. I felt terrible meriting that user and concluded I just wasted my one sMerit. I think from Jnr Member upwards should be encouraged above Newbie (except the newbie is exceptional and with enough post activities to show seriousness of purpose. Not spamming bounty posts)
